Hi guys, for all who want to get JB update on Asus TF101/G please sign this petition: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/update-to-android-jelly-bean-41-for-asus-tf101/

Why don't you use change.org

I think the original Transformer is no longer supported. The last update on mine was 4 months ago. Before it we had updates every almost every month. I think we are not going to see JB.

There's no excuse to end support for a device which is barely 18 months old, if ASUS won't give us JB at least give us 4.04 and keep giving us security/driver/bugfixes.

This is what I messaged ASUS on facebook and I am still waiting for response:
I know this is a question that is asked a lot but there is no clear answer anywhere. Will we get Android Jellybean 4.1 on our TF101 Pad or not. If not why, because there already are devices with the same configuration running JB.
Cheers

Doesn't hurt to try, we're almost at 7000 btw.
I'd rather petition for AOSP roms since touch wiz is definitely a drawback. But any kind of ROM will help our great modders to make a great AOSP version

You would assume wrong. I refer you to the lmgtfy link; pretty much the first post has confirmation that even though the apk is there, it won't do anything, and nor has copying it over from another device worked. Asus has disabled it for whatever reason.

That seems more likely, but until somebody tries it, we don't know if Asus disabled it for a good reason.
Maybe it's relevant to the issue, but I have a Nexus S on stock ICS, and the Face Unlock feature isn't available as well.
Maybe it's only available to the Galaxy Nexus as of right now.
I have it on my Galaxy Nexus and it is kind of fun to show off but not that great unless you are always sitting in a well lit area. Not worried about it at all.

[DEV] [Q] Who wants RA-Mod?

Firstly, let me introduce myself! I'm pixdev (Jamie), web/game developer and one of the developers over at RA-Mod (I did the website).
What is RA-Mod?
RA-Mod is a custom CM7-based ROM designed to be socially-aware, beautiful, fast and powerful - yet simple to use. We offer a tightly integrated package, with a custom launcher, reworked UI's, extended device settings and a Software Centre called Pyramid, giving you access to the latest themes, tweaks and apps. Consider it CyanogenMod for the rest of us!
Why are you telling me this?
RA-Mod is currently being developed for the Samsung Galaxy 3 (XDA link), which I own. While working on RA-Mod, we thought it would be a good idea to expand RA-Mod to other devices and I remembered that I still had my first Android phone, the LG Optimus GT540, lying around somewhere...
I then messaged Dympy (RA-Mod founder), asking if he wanted a GT540 port - I think you can guess the reply...
OSSIM! What happens now?
It would really help me out if I knew who wants RA-Mod for the GT540, so I can judge if the port is viable or not. Before I even commit to the port, I want to make it known I have schoolwork etc., so I cannot guarantee ETAs etc. However, I'll try my best to get it out as soon as possible...
I haven't looked in the GT540 forums for a while, so I don't know the current state of ROMs on here. I understand there is a fully-working CM7 port - does anyone know if this is open to people modifying and redistributing (like the G3 CM7 port)? I don't want to tread on anybody's toes by using their work when they don't want me to. Of course, I'll fully credit the author(s?) of it

Yes its all legality blah blah, but lets face it. Moto has farred better with more users getting their hands on the update and vetting it than not. Should be more of a public affair.

I posted my email on the game site yesterday morning and heard it can take a few days to a week or more... Then last night I struck oil they were giving them away on an IRC channel where hey were asking trivia questions about the game. I ended up getting 3 of them! I plan on finding someone who has helped me out on the forum to give one to.
Good luck all!
Be enlightened!
P.S. They are wanting people to make pictures about the game with game logos and stuff about Niantic and the game.....post them on Google plus and stuff...wstch for game hangouts.
