Hey guys.In this guide i will explain u how to take Google Play's downloaded apps Apk's.First of all u should have your phone rooted. No xrecovery needed. If you have your phone rooted,u can take the market Apk's very simple.
All u need is a root explorer and a desire to take the Apk's.Now,open the root explorer, and u have to go to this way "data/app"and there should be an Apk from the Google play. And there u will find all the downloaded Google Play Apk's .
I hope this guide will be helpful.
It's my matter how I send this.

I rooted my X10a using that app yesterday. Install the apk from that link and run it. It installed one other app (superUser Permission). All I did is click on Root button. I didn't even have to restart the phone.
Then to check if it really rooted I went to Market and downloaded and installed "Titanium Backup". The installation had problem that said somethink like it needs busybox #@(#@(#. It asked if I want to download it. I choose yes and the backup now works.
Soon I will be removing some of the SE crap that came with the phone.

I'm trying to create a update.zip file that removes the default applications that samsung puts on Samsung S and installs one or two more.
But I'm having a problem with the signing of update.zip
I have the struture:
system\app\xpto.apk
META-INF\com\google\android\update-script
and now I know I have to sign it but I dont seem to find a working tutorial, I've read some with signapk.jar and others without it...
Can someone plz point me in the right direction so that I can accomplish it?
Thanks

yes, but changing zip into apk gives me a parcing error and unzip it give me all files which i have no clue where to put them (i have a mac and see .exe files so rooting through a computer is not an option)...as i said before, I am better in graphics than in this kind of work....any help will be appreciated, in the other topic I only found "yes it is working" Okay, that makes me officially a noob, but anyway....
Is there anyone who has the apk for this??

It's not meant to be an apk that you install onto the phone.
(1) Download the file onto your PC and unzip it.
(2) Enable USB Debugging mode on your phone.
(3) Connect the phone to your PC.
(4) Click on the "SuperOneClick" file in the unzipped folder.
(5) Click on the "Root" button.
(6) Wait until it says that root is successful.
(7) Unplug your phone from the PC and manually reboot it.
(8) Your phone is unrooted!
thanks, I will get a laptop from my work this evening and try.
So (yes I am a noob) should I downloading this file on the phone or on the computer??

You should be downloading it to a PC and running it from there.
Oh, I forgot to add that you need to reboot your phone manually before it is detected to be rooted.

thank you

If you already downloaded it on your g2, the apk file should be in data/app
You need a Root explorer like 'ES File Explorer' for it to acces the map.
Or isnt that your question?

My apologies TRM. I was at work when I saw that and didn't get to read up on it. Thank you for removing the link.
Exactly why I didn't realy want to use it.
I got es file explorer and went into /system/app directory but it only shows the stock apks. It doesn't show the downloaded apks from the market... all the settings are enabled for root visibility... what am I doing wrong?

Afaik I don't think you can just grab them. There are means of obtaining the apk files which I won't talk about, and don't PM me about it. Now, if you want those said apks for backup purposes, just install titanium backup.
Sent from my ghdudsjihfr using dhhcdfhuf.
I use a certain app from market that allows you to pull the APK of an already installed app so you can sideload on another device. My particluar use is taking apps that aren't available for my tablet from my phone and transfering it over (Tiny Tower, Contacts, etc...)
