Did you try rooting via the method here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906248
yes, but changing zip into apk gives me a parcing error and unzip it give me all files which i have no clue where to put them (i have a mac and see .exe files so rooting through a computer is not an option)...as i said before, I am better in graphics than in this kind of work....any help will be appreciated, in the other topic I only found "yes it is working" Okay, that makes me officially a noob, but anyway....
Is there anyone who has the apk for this??

It's not meant to be an apk that you install onto the phone.
(1) Download the file onto your PC and unzip it.
(2) Enable USB Debugging mode on your phone.
(3) Connect the phone to your PC.
(4) Click on the "SuperOneClick" file in the unzipped folder.
(5) Click on the "Root" button.
(6) Wait until it says that root is successful.
(7) Unplug your phone from the PC and manually reboot it.
(8) Your phone is unrooted!
thanks, I will get a laptop from my work this evening and try.
So (yes I am a noob) should I downloading this file on the phone or on the computer??

You should be downloading it to a PC and running it from there.
Oh, I forgot to add that you need to reboot your phone manually before it is detected to be rooted.

I rooted my X10a using that app yesterday. Install the apk from that link and run it. It installed one other app (superUser Permission). All I did is click on Root button. I didn't even have to restart the phone.
Then to check if it really rooted I went to Market and downloaded and installed "Titanium Backup". The installation had problem that said somethink like it needs busybox #@(#@(#. It asked if I want to download it. I choose yes and the backup now works.
Soon I will be removing some of the SE crap that came with the phone.

Hi guys I've been rooted since Dec, 27 for WiFi tether and last night took the plunge with mikfroyo Rom. I love it but I miss Sprint tv. When I go to the removed apps folder and click Sprint tv to install it says not installed .. can someone please help me or point me in the right direction thanks alot..
use adb to push it or even flipz hero kitchen still works on the evo, you can push it to system/app that way. you could also manually copy/paste the apk in system/app from within root explorer.

thanks will have a look, why havent you rooted yet, quiet a few options now to root, had mine done in under 2 minutes, and yet am terrible when it comes to rooting.
titanium backup (can remove some useless stock apps: PostCard, Chinse Keybord, BBC playr ...; freezes some apps that you dont use: SE sync, TimeScape ..., and move apps to sd: XP games other than the stock one, FPSE ...)
busybox
adFree
sd speed increase (it really works!!)
To ad some more:
Screenshot apps.
Fontchanger.
Root explorer (filemanager).
Terminal emulater (changing/overwriting/modding/moving files in /system/).
Widget locker (does work without root, but gives you an option to work better with root permission).
Metamorph (don't know if it works on the XP or without unlocked bootloader).
Regards Dousan...

Hi
I have installed Code.Rom2 which is having New Market Application. This new market application is annoying and very very slow..so I want to go back to Old market application.
I tried to uninstall with the help of Titanium Backup, but could not succeed.
Pls help.

Solution:
Flash via Recovery..File is attached.
Thanks to royskeyz, he make it
Thanks to xuban for sharing..
Upgrade to Market 2.3.6
Follow this step how to install this 2.3.6 apk only, you dont need .zip.
First copy the apk I ve attached to root of sd.
1. use root explorer mount r/w
2. go to system/apps look for vending.apk
3. move vending apk to root of sd then install
4. if installation succeded go to settings/applications/manage applications you see the market their uninstall update this time it will say uninstall failed, uninstall again it will succeed now.
5. now install market 2.3.6 apk it will succeed
enjoy 2.3.6 market.
Thanks to royskeyz for the Guidance.

hi guys! Im new on the forum
Ok, i rooted my galaxy tab 8.9. Then i tried decrapfying my tab, including some system apps: talkback, talk, email, exchange services and ap and stock widgets.
Everything seemed has gone smooth, except now, the Social hub cashes!! seems like it tries to access email database. Can you guys help me and send me the email.apk and email.odex files please? I think the files from both 10.1 or 8.9 work as well.
I also hope that noone after me will delete email.apk as well Cheers!

NEVER delete any system apps, just freeze them with Titanium Backup, a much faster and easier to recover option.

It's all down to individual needs - I always delete the Samsung Apps app, never bother backing it up because I will never want or need to use it.

As far as i know, there is no ROM or firmware for galaxy 8.9 available yet, so i cant reflash now.
I also received from a friendly forums member the email.apk file, but i couldnt install the app (in the files manager i clicked on the apk and selected install but it ended with a "installation failed" message).
Is there any experienced member who can help me?
Just use root explorer to move it into your system/app folder

Do a full wipe and start over I guess...and dont forget to do a nandroid backup this time
