Just in case: Settings > Accessibility > check "Auto-rotate screen".

Drag down the top status bar. In the middle, there is an icon to lock/unlock the rotation!

ADW Launcher reboots after recent updates

Has anyone else noticed after the recent adw updates when going back from menu or an app it seems to have rebooted itself and has to reload icons and widgets which takes a bit sometimes?
Yep. All adw launchers do that. There is an option in the settings to have it persist. But you will lose auto rotate in the hone screen

Noticed it too. Seems like a new thing.
I always check out peoples comments when I get an update available notification. This one seemed to be a few issues so have left it til they sort it out and do a new update. They come out pretty regularly so hopefully you will get sorted soon. Have you emailed them or commented on the app's wall?
are you using any theme? i used to have that problem when i was using sense theme.

1.1.3 came out today.. (I think it was today..)... Lets see if it's any more stable.. I had virtually no problems with it prior to 1.1.0.. now it's a nightmare!
Anybody else find it annoying that they replaced the "Notifications" option when you press the menu key with "Edit"? Cause I have the notifications bar hidden and now I have to open some random app to get the notification bar... (And no, I dont want to use the slide up/down gestures....)
Yea, mine crashes often
Mine has became laggy when scrolling through home page after the update!
Same experience here.....
After disabled scroll cache in settings, my home screen scrolling speed back to normal again. Finally solved this problem which has been troubling me for days.

[Q] Apex Issue

Having an issue with Apex, wondering if anyone found a solution.. Using the default settings, (6x8 for both portrait and landscape), it hides the icon text on the homescreen in landscape for some reason. All the icon text shows up fine in portrait, but flip to landscape and all the text disappears, leaving just the icon. Ive messed around with margins as well, with no success. Yes, I confirmed the option to disable icon text was disabled. Thanks for your help!
Try a 7x8 grid.
7 rows should fix it. Not sure if they plan on fixing it or not, but it's happened on my other devices as well.

I also have an issue with Apex in that the Google Play My Librarry Widget doesn't seem to work. Has anyone else got this problem?

Turn it on in your "accessibility" settings. I think that's where it is. Should be a setting for "auto rotate".
Or check the notification area for the rectangle with two semicircular arrows

just swipe down from the top to see your notifications. There is a toggle right there to unlock rotation.
I tried everything but still not responding !!!
Shall I return it or try to fix it ?

Try opening an app and see if it rotates in that.
Thing is, even when you unlock rotation, the home screens won't rotate - made me think it was faulty too when I first got mine. You need a third party launcher if you want home screens to rotate to landscape.
If even in apps it won't rotate, then maybe it's faulty.

Swipe down your notification bar, to the right of the date is a lock with two arrows circling it. Press that and the lock will change shape.
Now all apps that support it will change orientation, the home screen does NOT support this. To rotate the home screen you will need to download a new launcher from the play store.
Test that rotation is working with a stock app like YouTube, not all third party apps are coded to rotate.

I opened all apps and still not responding !!
I did rest factory ,.. nothing change
I recommend Apex or Nova for a launcher. I am partial to Nova right now but both of them are top notch. Everything rotates beautifully now. Make sure to do what they said and also don't forget to check in the launcher settings as there is an option there too.
Cheers!
Thanks for responds !!
But it still not working , I'm going to return it back

How to get an HD Widgets widget on the lock screen of 4.2?

Hey guys, I unfortunately upgraded to 4.2 and want to get rid of that awful clock on the lock screen. From what I've heard, you can get an HD Widgets widget on the lock screen and I want to do so, but I have literally no idea as to how to do so.
Can anyone help?
On the lock screen swipe right until you see the plus sign, tap on it and the unlock your screen the option for HD widget should be there if you have it installed!

When I swipe to the right, the clock tilts, but nothing else appears (the animation is similar to when you try to swipe to a homescreen but the one you're on is the last one, so it just stops).
I have also tried to add HD Widgets to the lock screen but when I swipe all the way to the plus sign it's greyed out and I cannot do anything other than log in. Strange.
Before I installed HD Widgets, I could click the + sign and I had the option to add the clock and a few other widgets.
This baffled me for a bit too.
You have to go into HD Widgets Settings>Widget sizes and enable lockscreen.

Okay, thanks. So I've enabled lockscreen, but when I go to the lockscreen, it still won't let me swipe at all.

Meaning you don't see the white line/box along the left at all when the screen starts up?

Already tried that myself, infact mine was already ticked for tablets, unticked for phones, so perhaps the latest version detects a tablet.
Anyway, this didn't work for me either. I can swipe to the plus sign, then that is about all I can do.

How did you guys get to 4.2? You might try reflashing the OTA.

OTA update. And it solved the issue. I had the lockscreen state to disallow widgets. I'm dumb.

How do you set the lock screen to disallow widgets? Do I have to be rooted? I hate those widgets.

Thanks. Didn't know this was an option on 4.2
Pretty sweet

[Q] Volume buttons not working on home screen after 4.3 update

Hello guys,
I've noticed that the volume buttons sometimes don't work on the homescreen on my Nexus 4 after I updated it to 4.3, my N4 is stock, unrooted, with Nova Launcher (also noticed this on stock launcher too).
I don't think that it's a hardware problem, becouse when I push the notification screen, or open any app, the buttons work as it should, only in homescreen that doesn't, forcing me to reboot the phone to make it work.
I've tried removing the widgets from the home screen, but it didn't work.
Anyone know having the same problem, any fixes? Or it's a 4.3 bug?
Thanks!

Yeah, that's very annoying, hope that android 4.4 fixes that.
I have to reboot everytime the phone to make it work on the homescreen
That happens on mine as well.. What i do is just open the app drawer, then it works

Anybody solve this?
Make a call, try decreasing/increasing volume, hang up and it should be fine.
