Love that we can remove old apps from the library, but can we batch delete. I going one by one will take fooorreevveerr
Long press on one app (not the delete button on the right) to highlight it blue
Then just start clicking away on as many as you want before hitting delete on the top right of the screen
Try to stay under 40 in a batch... it wasn't working right for me with huge quantities
Perfect

When I long press the app it just opens the app to install as soon as I let off. I even tried long pressing for 30 seconds with no luck. I tried roling back market by installing the 3.10.9 market apk, but when I open market I still have version 3.10.10 and the same problem. Any ideas?

Since the recent play store update, batch remove had been replaced by BATCH INSTALL, now you have to delete the apps from the list one by one again. Well done google dev! I want to kill the one who come up with this [email protected] idea now.

World's First - Play TombRaider with full feature "ON TOUCH"!!!Button Problem Solved!
For the very first time in the WHOLE DAME WORLD(I guess), I figured out how to play Tomb Raider "On Touch" with the menu function!!!!!
(Same method may also be able to apply to the worms world party game)
After a long time of searching, failing and failing, again and again, holding up hopes and down for many times, I've tried so many methods, and searched for hundreds of times on the net, just to figure out how to play my favorite game: Tomb Raider, on my Touch. I even tried to use a hex editor to edit files in the game folder when I know actually nothing about programming. And then an idea flashed through my brain when I saw a picture of a "checking mark" appeared on the in-game screen of Tomb Raider after I accidentally pressed on a corner, I realized that the "active corner" function from FTouchSL WORKS ON Tomb Raider!!!!! So I did a little search on the keycode that brings up the Tomb Raider menu, and there it is!!! It's 195!!!
So this is how you do it (if you're already a FTouchSL user, skip to the second quote):
You download & install the freeware version of FTouchSL(If it asks about closing TouchFlo function, choose no), and go to it's configuration screen and do as the following first quote:
Enable FTouchSL: yes
Enable at startup: no (so everytime you play TombRaider you have to enable FTouchSL first. If you choose yes, some annoying message may appear telling you to register the program )
Disable on SIP active: Yes
Notifications: None
Scrolling: Disabled
Gestures: Disabled
Active corners: Enabled
Exeptions: Add program name, and browse to the TombRaider.exe, add an action of Active Corner to the bottom-left(or any corner you prefer), choose Send Key for the action, and put 195 in the key code blank.

If you're using FTouchSL already, just go ahead and make an exeption of Tomb Raider.exe, add an action of Active Corner to the bottom-left(or any corner you prefer), choose Send Key for the action, and put 195 in the key code blank.
Click to collapse
And there you go! When in the game, press on the corner for over a second and you'll see a checking mark appears, and the menu is up!!! Congratulations!!!!! YOU CAN SAVE THE GAME, AND CHOOSE ANY WEAPON AND WHATEVER, ANYTIME YOU WANT!!!!!
Note: This is actually the first post I have that actually helps anything, so I hope it'll work with no problem because I have NONE!
Cheers! ;D
Actually dude...I'm playing Tomb Raider on my o2 XDA Terra for a week now with no problems whatsoever...I can save load do all the stuff pull out weapons and everything works fine...
Dunno if you checked it or maybe it's different on your phone but on mine I jst had to push the camera button on the top of the cell to bring up the menu...The message buttons closes the app completely and auto saves. The windows button is the ok button and the ok button is the pull out weapon button. Did you try every button of your phone while ingame?
freeware? if so link to the game
Ehm nah it's not freeware.

Sorry, my bad, I should've make the "on Touch" more noticable.
On Touch we didn't have any button to bring up the menu because we only have two buttons blow the screen and it's green and red, and the volume switches wouldn't do anything, but the camera button at lease brings up the weapon. Anyway, without the menu you can barely play the game.

FTouchSL is freeware, but not TombRaider.
but you can always find it somewhere......
I noticed a bug that allows you to switch to running apps that were left behind with the home button.
Prerequisites: HTC Messages widget on one of the main screens.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open an application (like 'people') and exit out with the home button, not the back button.
2. Repeat step one if you want to add other apps.
3. Go to the HTC messages widget and tap it to open a message.
4. Select menu option "All messages".
5. Press the 'back' button. This will switch to another app instead of close the messages.
6. Repeat step 5 to close the app and move to the next one.
Further notes:
Some apps will continue to show up even if you press 'back' on them to exit out.
For example, "People", "System settings" and browser never closes. Camera app does close, but you have to leave it by pressing 'home'.
Works on generic 1.5.

I didn't know that - it is not mentioned in the manual. Thanks for that useful tip. Looks like a useful shortcut back to where you were before.
But how do you close a programme rather than let it waste memory and battery in the background?

If android needs ram it will close apps as needed but you can always download a task manager from the marketplace, there are some good free ones, i suggest advanced task manager its what i use
It would be good to be able to actually get them to exit properly.
Especially so when you have 4 or 5 "All messages" apps that won't go.
The only use this bug has is to take you to apps that are actually running as opposed to your history.
It also takes you to screens that a task switcher can't do for you, like the last screen you see from your last phone call and the call history.

I don't see this as being a bug. The ability to be able to short cut to the 6 (I notice it is limited to 6) previously used apps by a long press on the home button is obviously something the designers have deliberately included. And to me it is a useful additional feature (now I have found it!).
It seems to be history rather than running apps you are looking at - I closed several of my running apps using Astro and yet they still subsequently appeared in the list.
Hi, there's something I'd like to check and I hope you guys can help me if you're running Google's stock ROM, as opposed to any other ROM like Cyanogen's.
You know how the home screen has 5 spaces, right? if you go to spaces 1, 2, 4 or 5 (that is, any space but the central one) and launch an app from there, then use the home button to leave the app? Does it take you to the space you originally were at, or to space 3?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

It brings me back to space 3 (home screen)
Yup takes you back to the main home screen 3, although the dots on the bottom left and right are in the position they were when the app was launched, that started happening after the OTA update.
Trying to root and install a custom rom when i get to spring break and have some free time.
The Home button is to go to the home screen (that is the 3rd screen).
To exit from the app I use the left arrow button (the first one on the left) and I go back to the screen I was before launching the app.

Mine does the same thing. The dots are not correct. Also some times it will show a blank home screen [none of mine are blank] until I swipe left or right. Weird.

I am noticing this very same behavior on mine since the update ran as well. Nice to know that it isn't just me.
edit - I hate misspelling words.

I wonder if it's anything the devs of the ROM can do. ~shrug~
Lol about misspelling. I hate it too. Since Chrome came out I have greatly improved my common spelling errors. [red underline > right click ftw]
Okay, it sems to only happen if I have a custom ROM installed. See I switch roms quite often cuz I like so many of them, but here lately, I've been having this problem when I sart from my home screen, go to menu> settings>applications> manage applications, and there my list of installed apps, we'll, if I choose one of them, it takes you to another scren where you can uninstall if you want. Now, if I hit the "back" soft key from there, it backs up 1 screen, but it has a "loading" pop-up that never stops. It just keeps loading until I hit the "back" key again and it takes me to where I can choose "manage apps". Any help would be great...
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Same thing happens on my nexus one. Any suggestions please...
Thanks
Quick question for people who have this app, how the heck do you go back to the homepage once youre in your contacts? Its stuck on my contacts page and when I try to go back to the main page to see my whatsapp contact list, seems like there is no way of going back
Hit the retun key. Third button from left on the bottom of your phone.

well there is one way around it. I went into my gallery and clicked on share, it gave me the option of whether to do it as a MMS (which by the way isnt working for me at the moment) ot through whatsapp. i clicked on that and can kinda make my way back to my whatsapp contacts. But this is one long way of getting there.
