Hello!
I am trying to get my cust.img from my u8800 with official 2.3.5 + forumber.kernel.
The problem is that my PC doesn't detect the phone when on pink screen.
I suspect that is a driver issue, my PC uses Windows 7 x64, so am looking for the correct drivers.
thanks in advance for your help!

If you want to get back the pink screen; there is a patch somewhere here maybe in the general section about how getting back the pink screen on the official GB. Maybe it's useful.

first of all thank you for your reply.
I can boot to pink screen, the problem is that my pc doesn't have the correct drivers in order to load the system memory.

if you are stuck in the three colored screen(bootscreen) then you can just flash any rom to it, just run the rom update utility and it will work
cheers!

WinVista is not compatible for Rom flashing,it still has many problems and drawbacks. So it's always recommended to flash Roms on WinXP based PC.
Activesync doesn't work on WinVista, you have to download 'Windows Mobile Device' to work with Vista. However, you can check this guide to flash on WinVista, hope it may work for you :-

I BEG you, i need the phone working urgently.. HELP ME PLEASE!

Because it won't work.. i've already tried.. and it can only boot into pink screen.. no update process. I think it's because of the changed image files So I totally need them..
Have you tried removing the battery and run the update with the phone plugged into the charger?

Hello i'v got a free s4 which was not working. I'v connected it with pc and got QHSUSB_DLOAD detected installed drivers and now i can see the device using QPST. Is there anyway that i can unbrick this without JTAG? I saw the thread which can solve the problems but its old and the links are broken.. Any ideas? Thanks for your help...
I think you have a dead boot. It can be fixed since the PC recognizes it, but I don't know if it is possible without pro tools.
