Problem with location/checkins/ - Galaxy S I9000 General

Hi there,
since I've installed Cyanogen10 on my phone I have this issue. When I try to check in somewhere through Facebook, Foursquare, etc simply I can't, it says that the phone couldn't find any location, when i've enabled all the location settings. Same happens when I try to locate myself on Google Maps, and looks like GPS isn't working att all.
Any suggestion? Should I have to change the modem files? Which one?
Thanks in Advance

Install gapps.

I have switch pro widget and it says "turn on".
When I start 2G-3G it does not start.
It just starts automatically on other ROMs and turns off while starting wifi.
I use widget just for checking not starting.

Problem with Chainfire3D and wifi

Hi guys.
First off,I have a problem with my wifi. When I am connected and have the screen turned off for some minutes,it's like I lose connection. The wifi is connected, but I have no internet and I have to turn wifi off and back on to be able to use my internet again.
Secondly,I have a problem(kind of) with chainfire3D.I choose a plugin and click fix market. However,I can see no extra apps. And what's worse I have bought Asphalt 6 from the market and I cannot install it!It won't show up no matter what I do!And it happens generally, not only with Asphalt. No additional stuff shows up on market.
I am on KE7 with KF1 CF-Root kernel if it matters.
Thanks guys,I hope someone can help.It ain't nice knowing I threw money away, don't you agree?

Bump!
Sorry for insisting but my nerves aren't in the best state they could be.
Wifi problem seems to be gone with Cognition 1.0.4.Chainfire3D/market one persists though.

GPS with 2.3.5

I updated my software that Sprint pushed roughly 2 wks ago. Using the new Telanav with 2.3, I realize it's more buggy. It takes long to load, often drops gps signal, and restarts whenever I get an incoming call. Anybody having these issues?

Should have never updated. To save battery Samsung cut back on satellite locks. Root with a custom kernel orf ROM with the GPS fix.

Clear the data and cache for that app, then "uninstall the update" and then reopen it and reinstall when prompted...or freeze the app after you root and use Google Nav instead!

Yes.that is his problem. Not Telenav. Telenav works fine. It is his GPS that locks up Telenav.

I've heard about the GPS Fix, but I can't find it. Any ideas where it is? The search didn't help me, I guess I haven't gotten the hang of the weird XDA search.
I have a stock rooted EI22.
Thanks!

Help needed__ remics 1.3 gps not working

Hey i am on remics 1.3 and my gps is no working.... it just stays on "searching for gps" in notification bar and could not determine my location with google maps.... i am using midnight kernel

I had this once. Not sure if this was what actually fixed it but what I did was download AngryGPS and GPS Aids. Then you use GPSAids to download XTRA files and run the GPS Doctor. Then run AngryGPS in TTFF test mode overnight.
It may also help to set GPS to MSBASED in AngryGPS.

Try using faster fix to set your region, then use gps aids, clear agps in settings, go outside, request update agps, then go to main gps aids screen and wait for a good fix (can take a couple of minutes first time) then subsequently you should get a good fix pretty fast.....mine takes 15 seconds

[Q] Every Single ROM I Flash, Data (3g) DOESN'T work.

Every single AOSP ROM I have tried to flash, 3g does not work. On every single one.
What am I doing wrong? I've tried probably 5 ROMs..
I'm just really frustrated with myself and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, so finally I have decided to make a post!

Did you try changing your network mode? I have had issues with 3g before and changing network mode fixed my problem. Also once you DL the roms you are having problems with have you looked at about device to see if you have a baseband /software version?

When you say 3g doesn't work, do you mean that you're phone's status bar never shows 3g service or does it show 3g with a signal bar or two and you can't pull any data services over it. If it shows 3g with no actual data services run the ookla speedtest.net app and let us know what the results of that are.
