Is Omega the best TW ROM? - Galaxy S III General

Hello everyone!
Im new to this android scene, and I've only experimented Omega and SuperNexus, and while SN is much faster than Omega, Omega has TWs functionalities, better camera, battery life, etc.
So i was wondering if there was something along the lines of Omega, but better?
Thanks in advance!

Is Mcdonald's the best fast food chain?
Does Ferrari make better cars than Lamborghini?
Are apples better tasting than pears?
Is Cola better than Pepsi?
You see, questions like these and questions like your question share one similarity. They are personal questions that only you can answer. Try out different tw roms and base your own opinion. Either that, or you'll have a little vacation from XDA.

I'm going to quote our Forum Moderator graffixnyc (taken from the last thread he closed on the S3 forum)
"Please use the existing JB thread...
JB threads and best rom threads... things I have nightmares about at night...
Thread closed.."
Have some mercy on our moderators!!! (>_>)

There is no best Rom. It's what fits your needs and what's best for you that matters. I won't tell you which is the best rom cause it's disrespectful to the developers. I use Omega and Insert Coin cause I like the speed, battery life and customization of both. There are other great TW roms like CheckRom, Wannam, ARHD etc. Try them your self and believe me you will find what suits you best. Welcome to Android and XDA. You should read the rules and search before you post. It's the only way to avoid flaming and hepl keeping this site as clean and tidy as possible

I think I'm going to have to put a sticky up about not posting best rom or best kernel threads..
And yes, I do have nightmares about Best ROM threads and JB threads... I cringe when I think of them.

TASK ROM ICS 4.0.4 FOR P7510 WIFI - We need you back...

Dear Task,
We really miss your development of roms for P7510 - my tab has no meaning without you....
MOD EDIT: Links removed
I second this.........I have flashed all the ICS roms available for the Sammy tab 10.1 and there is nothing more stable and smooth then Task650 ICS.......I even flashed jellybean roms to try something new, but I always came back to Task650, because its the best.......that's why he still wears the crown of roms........
CyanogenMod-B12/09
I'll third it! I miss TASK! :crying:
Not that I don't miss him, but this thread is useless
First, there's no Android Development in this, so you are posting in the wrong forum
Second, a developer shouldn't be asked to do something. That's the number 1 rule in xda
Sorry, but I have to report this

Ditto. And if you've followed Task in the past, you know that I while flattered, he'd still chew your ear off with something like: "Why are you even posting something useless like this on this forum, bro?!"
Don't worry there's a lot better/smoother/faster roms out there. Task is overrated.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk 2
Well come on let's be honest. Any Jelly Bean ROM is faster than any ICS ROM. And I've used ICS ROMs from other developers here that have been faster than Task's only one, which really doesn't consist of many, if any, tweaks.

I wouldn't say he's overrated, used his previous rom and they're quality. He's moved on to other devices and that's his perogative. Having said that I've moved from his ICS rom to Fourth bar Revolution rom and not looked back as it's had more development, very fast, stable and liquid smooth, more so than any JB efforts so far.

I would say he's overrated due to the fact he released a nearly all stock rom that everyone praises and pretends its the fastest and best rom out there. He's got a lot of "fan boys". His "fan boys" are worse than apple lol.

Quit trolling XDA. You're making it look bad. These are the types of posts that are ruining this community. Contribute something or GTFO.
@OP
Why are you taking my work, posting it, and not even asking me before hand. This is a huge rule you've broken here on XDA. Not cool at all dude. Reporting.

What's the best ROM for the Epic4G in your opinion??

what's the best overall most stable JB ROM out there for the Epic4G?
I don't care about fancy schmancy customizations. I want something basic and very stable (or just super awesome thats stable) .
I would love to hear your opinions.
I use my Epic4G for a lot of things, gaming/movies/music/inet surfing..
just wanna flash a new ROM and wanting your opinions.
Thanks!

My recommendation is [INSERT ROM NAME HERE]
Seriously you gotta try them out yourselves. Personal preference counts. My deal on your circumstance would be official CM10.1.
And glad to see you're also Chinese!!
Andy already said what all of us will state. I'll just add that if you ask this question in any device forum on this site, expect worse replies than what you will get here. That question is asked time and time again, and the answer is always the same. (See Andy's reply)
Slim aside from bt issues from what people have said I never use it but yea newest slim with slim gapps swapped to ns4g modem effsi 0308 nm kernel loving it

I'd say you're best stable with CM10 so you won't be suffering from bluetooth issues.

There is no best ROM. Each ROM tends to offer something different and what you may see as useful or cool may not be anything special to somebody else. With that said, I am on the newest version of the PACman ROM and I think its the best rom available bar none. There are so many options such as PIE controls (which allows you to hide the NAV buttons allowing for more screen space) and not to mention the options of Paranoid Android, AOKP and Cynagenmod. Throw in the rock solid stability, (no force closes, battery drain or lag) and you have a real winner.
Anyway, like I said, that is my opinion but having used many ROMs I can tell you that most of them are amazing in there own right. There is no "best".

theres no best rom, theres only the rom thats best for you. spend some time trying out a few different roms, then pick one that suits your needs the best. after that, spend some time trying different kernels, then pick the one that you like. anyways, heres a great place to start, especially for a thread like this one http://goo.gl/YG5Gl
Well, this thread managed to become hostile and off-topic in a matter of minutes. Can't say that I'm not impressed though. Anyway, while you've probably figured out as much there is no best ROM because it's completely subjective and in addition being a Nexus the ROMs all seem fairly similar to me (it's odd to have come from an HD2). It's also not fair to devs to judge their work when they do it completely for free and opinions can easily differ. What I can say is that you'll struggle to find any ROM that's bad.
OP as stated, there is no best, it is what is best for the individual User, with so many variables involved...apps/usage and so on, the best thing to do is test and run the great ROMs out here.
And BTW thread cleaned of stupidity; Thank you and Thread Closed.

[Q] Best ROMs comparison?

Has anyone put together a chart or table comparing the various ROMs features and maybe even a vote of users on which ones they like better?
That would be futile. There is no rom that is Best

[Q] What's the best ROM for Galaxy S4?

Wanted to check in and see what others thought in regards to best ROM out there for Galaxy S4
This all depends on what YOU like. I may like something that you don't. So its all dependent on what your looking for in a ROM and what things you like and don't like. Colors and bloat ware and mods and things like that make each ROM different.

Stock. Yes, really. From my experience with the S3, all custom ROMs and kernels made the performance and battery life far worse. And some of the color schemes the devs use are very unappealing. Just root the stock ROM and enjoy the performance and stability as Samsung intended it to be. Your phone is a device that shopuld work for you, not the other way around.
