Hi , I bought a motorola defy with defy + software so it's an m526 . My question is how can i make it back to m525 ? I want to do that because my camera don't work and it's blocking everyday . Or how can i make it in m526 to work fine and to work camera ? I need help pls !

Camera works since latest Quarx-Rom (Android 4.1.2 from 11th October 2012)

It was astonishing for me, because I always thought, without changing the Kernel we never would be able to recognize the green lense. But with this CUSTOM ROM I can use my kamera like nothing happened. When you flash this Rom through CWM, be patient, when you reboot after flashing. It needs a long time to finish first booting. Just wait until you can see the regular Welcome screen.

First of all I would like to apologize for posting in Defy forum, but as I have very similar device (Motorola Bravo) which has almost identical hardware to Defy, I hope to receive some more answers here, because that forum is not so active as this one. So thanks for understanding me guys.

I just have bought an Motorola Bravo phone of the ebay and it has one strange issue.
When I call to someone they can't hear me, but if I turn on speaker, they hear me fine.
What could be the cause of the problem ? I have dissasembled the phone and saw that the microphone is not replacable ( it is soldered to the mainboard )

Also the android version is 2.3.4 with non working camera (dunno the rom name)
EDIT : I just have flashed stock 2.2.1 rom with RSD Lite and the problem is still there.

Hi everyone !
I wonder if ther was any software way to sim unlock my defy, cause i can't go on ICS without it, i'm locked on orange and i'm on bouygues.
I'm running MIUI for now but i tested CM9 and that was really great, now i heard about and saw that camera is working so i need it.
And if there is any, are devs part of the party ?
NB : I tested the files i use fos MIUI but it's not working, even with cdmod777 for the 2 files (bp_btc and init.mapphone......(not sure for the names)).

Don't have locked defy/ICS so can't really test.
I am new for motorola and i have to ask, is there any specific way to flash other roms to the defy from iusacell mexico?; or do I follow the same process of the many topics in the dev seccion?
Long story short, i have been flashing custom roms to cellphones for 18 months, but all of them where from telcel or just tablets; but 1 month ago i bricked the only cellphone i tried from iusacell (SE x8) and I thought it happend because of the iusacell software; specially since i had an x10 mini pro(telcel) and never had a problem with it.
Is there anything i might want to know before starting the process or any suggestion that may be usefull? I really dont want to brick my new phone which i must have for 1 year long.

No i didn't
It's playing through headphones even if there are no headphones connected. So sound is not being played through speakers. It might be a problem with the headphone input
That's true, but to help determine if the problem is hardware or software, I would flash back to stock 4.2.2, 4.3, and 4.4 first.

Well am using 4.3.1 CM10.2 , it'd been working fine until now , now what should i do ? and can i buckup thir rom , and flashback stock rom , then restore this rom again without problems ?
+ i installed " AudioAbout " So i chose to hear voice from Earpiec , and that worked fine , that means i have the problem on my softwear , can u help me out ? thanks

You could a custom rom based on stock or cm11.

i need help to unbrick, i am suck.. i flashed with MistyOS-BL7-4.1.2 my defy with froyo, but when reboot show M in red and late bootloader error
ok, i tryed flash with T-Mobile_MB525_6.19.0_1FF .. but now have a black screen and rsd lite show phone connected ok , i tryed flash

Have exactly the same problem. (defy+) was running a cm based custom ROM, installation got messed up and tried to flash a retail SBF, but after every flash I get a black screen. Also looking for a solution
