Hi! I sorry for my English.
I have a HTC hd2 with android 2.2. but I didn't installed it. One friend installed it.
My problem is that I can't be root and I am searching with google and I don't find it. My friend had installed Superuser but now I don't have permissions and I can't move apps to sdcard.
My sdcard is partitioned in two partitions one of them is ext2: 1Gb and the other is FAT: 6.98Gb. I try to install link2sd but i don't have permissions and now i want to update the binary of Superuser and I don't have permissions.
What do I do?
Bye, thank you
which rom are you using? most (all?) of them are already rooted.

You're using the DFT Stock Desire ROM. That is the only HD2 ROM which isn't rooted. Flash an update ROM and you should be fine. Look at the guide in my signature below for more information on how to flash.

Do you have samdroid tools installed? If not, make a kitchen ROM on samdroid. n e t and install that from recover (boot using Volume Down + Call + End Call -> Apply any zip, select te zip from your SD card)
After that, go to samdroid tools and "Enable your Sdcard for Apps2SD", you can tweak the settings there too
I have rooted using tools from Leshak and built my ROM Using Samdroid site and app2sd is working and a lot of other features. But u will have to root ur phone to get all this.

I recommend waiting for android 2.2 to be finished because that doesn't require partitioning to install apps to sd.

I finally got rooted and installed cyanogen rc3 via rom manager. Now I want to get Arabic support, does anyone know how to do this? I am leaving for the middle east on Sunday so please help ASAP!
And also is it worth it to overclock the mytouch4g for a noob like me?

Actually overclocking can be done from within the performance settings in cyanogen. No kernel needed.

I found this:
vrami.net/?p=635
Which tells me I need to flash the Arabic and it gives a zipfile, this is for cyanogen. How do I flash the arabic zip file? Do I put the zipfile onto my SD card, then reboot the phone while holding the volume down button and select flash from sdcard, etc etc?
Thanks

To flash the .zip you need to boot into recovery > install .zip from sdcard > let me choose > pick the .zip and flash it.
make sure to do a Nandroid back up first.

you are correct on that end. SetCPU does allow for a wider arrange of options. However personally i found that when i cut the CPU down when the screen was of killed my battery. I get much better life not using it.

Make sure that SuperUser is not set to automatically deny SU access to new apps.
If it is not or it does not seem to launch properly, download the SuperUser or the SuperSU flashable zip file and flash it through your recovery. That should fix the SU problem.
i downloaded apex launcher

if you have your rom in NAND you should be able to flash it.
if NativeSD, use a root enabled file explorer to put it in /system/app folder and reboot.
Backup first and give it a try

Doesn't work like that. Framework needs to be patched for it to support hwa settings
