PIT Magic - Galaxy S III General

App by Lyriquidperfection should be bookmarked by all and hopefully shoved in the sticky section .
This deals in great depth with the dreaded and sometimes confusing PIT file .

[R]: Official I9000JHJP8 for Israel

GT-I9000_I9000JHJP8_I9000PTRJP8_I9000JHJP5_OIP-MID
Code version: I9000JHJP8
Baseband version: I9000JHJP5
CSC version: I9000PTRJP8
Converted to a "middle" package so there will be no problems when flashed with Odin (re-partition possible).
Use with 512 mapping (.pit) if necessary.
I know from past symbian phones that certain israel providers use 850 on 3g.
Does this modem support that frequency and if not can you find any froyo modem for 9000m or 9000t cause those do.
Anyways thanks for this.
Sent from my i9000M
I love this thread. He has converted it to a middle package.

In the title, can you change [R] to [ROM]? R isn't understood by many people.
very very nice.
i've been using this version for few days now (dumped from another orange israel device)
what's hot
RTL support is nearly perfect:
gmail reversed hebrew lables is fixed
mail app now aligns hebrew text to the right as should
sms hebrew perfect
if location set to hebrew dialer has heb/eng smart dialing search
swype supports heb/rus/arabic/english
also includes samsungs snap n' go program
what's not
android menus on hebrew are ugly as hell since alignments is to the left.
calendar shows all event from the left.
usb debugging mode is translated as "fix bugs in usb"
speed wise i didn't notice any difference from jpo.
gps looks to be the same, sucks in my tracks, works with waze.
csc contains some garbage from orange, can be easily removed with titanium and root.

sorry for being a noob, but can I ask what it means when it is converted to a middle package?
(I have a fixed 3BR phone - does this have anything to do with the low package you talked about that can bring back the no 3br fix?)
Sorry if the question makes no sense .. trying to find my hands and feet in this
I wonder if this has better radio. JPP eats a lot of power. Going to try it. Same baseband like UK and Asia?
Lot of operator crap inside!. 997 Quadrant. Not so specially speedy. JPO still rules for me.
guys all froyo builds are same speed...stop this jpa > jpo >jp* thing
thanx for the swype extract!
is there a way to remove arabic and russian?
does is really bother you? you can change language quicly by swyping from the swype icon to Q...
What is the build date on this puppy? Any newer than JPO/JPA, or is this just appears to be another carrier customized version of those?

From Thread 823635

The firmware was originally a high package, meaning it is a update patch.
Therefore the system will not boot up properly if the package is flashed with Odin MDL with re-partition option enabled.
I converted it to a middle level package, which can be flashed with Odin MDL with re-partition enabled.
It is now a OSP (Odin Separate Package) rom, so the CSC can be selected separately. It was originally a OIP (Odin Integrated Package) so the CSC was fixed to the one used in the original release (OXA in this case)."

Samsung B7350 ROM for ROM chiefs is ready!

Its looks like Samsung has protected its ROMs and multiloader for this model against cooking.
So now Samsung B7350 is ready for custom ROMs. All you need:
1) nb0 packer/unpacker
2) Hex editor
3) Modified multiloader (without filehash and signature checking)
Edit your cooked custom nb0 with HEX editor to replace last bytes:
As example - your cooked rom nb0 code: nb0.jpg
To nb0 signed with hidden samsung partitions for loader: modified_nb0.jpg
at adr 0a3d1b84 as for this example you must write adr of signature start as shown on picture (0a3d1af0)
Flash PDA part and any Lang file (Lang file must be present for first boot) with this loader. B7350_Downloader_cracked_for any_custom_roms_v4.2.zip
Good luck in ROM cooking!
finally someone talks about cooking roms for omnia pro4 (aka samsung GT-B7350)!
i own this phone for 3 months and must say it's a very good phone for people like me that want a qwerty keyboard in a device running WM.
I really hope that a chef here release some custom roms for this beautifull device.
til now i've only found semi-official roms, and currently i'm with PDA version XXJI2, wich seems to be the most stable.
Cheers
thanks for your info!

Question about site for Hashes for ROMS

Hi!
Is there a website out there or a forum post here where Hashes (SHA1, SHA512, MD5) for ROMs (Origs and Customs) are available?
Like you type in an input box "G900FX..." and you'll get the hashes listing for tar.md5, .zip, tar.gz" ?

Bootloader unlock of the mammoth - Yoga Tab 2 (YT2) 1050L/F

Hi All,
Does any of you have by any chance a copy of:
- Unlock-Bootloader-YT2-1050F.zip
- or a way to get 1050L/F Bootloader unlock?
I've found two threads but all the links are dead and google search doesn't bring up any live links - all points to either Chinesee inexistent forum, thread with cleaned up details or another thread under which files are not avialable:
Unlock-Bootloader-YT2-1050F.zip - https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24421527759888185 as posted here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-twrp-2-8-7-0-lenovo-yoga-tablet-2-1050.3322990/
Hope is that good soul will find it in their backup and would provide.
Thank you!
Weirdest thing... file wasn't found by AndroidHost throughout last week - been checking number of time and today, after posting above - it shows and serves. Weird - so file has been resurrected!
