Jelly Belly equivalent for the nexus 7? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been having lockups and restarts on cm10 so I've decided to go with a more stock rom. Which rom would be most like jelly belly for the galaxy nexus, a stock rom with me mostly speed and stability improvements.

all of the factory images are here. https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#nakasi

Use the stock/factory rom and then try different kernels.

I just started using Codename Android. It has more of a stock feel with improvements and tweaks. I've been liking it so far, as I didn't want to stray too far from stock JB.

[ROM]*HYBRID*TMT_MIUI_1.0 BETA 3 Codename "BOIA CHE CULO C'HANNO FATTO" 06/30/12
i love miui but i hate miuihome,TMT_MIUI is great
My actual ROM, kernel and settings always at signature.
I've been using the paranoid android rom for about 2 days now and I'm really loving the tablet/phone ui hybrid feature. This ui feature is awesome on the note because the note itself is a hybrid device. Best rom I've used thus far, no issues at all. Thanks paranoid team, excellent job! :good:
I'm running stock rom, but custom kernals. Speedmod. Must have with ICS.
Testing kingDroid 4.2, seems ok, but then I flash more times than a man in a Mac in a park full of Swedish athletes...

Stock GB.
Interesting to see so many are using stock....why so popular, I've not tried stock ICS yet:cyclops:, went straight from GB to the custom roms

Stock or Custom Rom?

I like the stock rom on N7. It's much better than the stock rom of Galaxy Nexus. What are the benefits for installing a custom rom?
Paranoid android will give you more options and a full tablet UI. Best rom imo.

Baked , AOKP. Both on a 3113 , I flashed some 3110 stock Romswell deodexed Roms at some point on my 3113 , they was pretty sweet.
Jelly Bean stock is soooooooo nice.Samsung did a good job on that. Very smooth but not much good if you want to make themes and try them out. so its back to CM1O , good base to theme on , but I do miss Baked, that's a bad ass ROM !
Aokp then cm10
Cm10 is found in www.teamhacksung.org

Romswell for stock is the best stock jelly bean for me, but google now have problem (no voice recording).
CM10 for AOSP, but need to custom it as Trebuchet got many problems (i use Apex) and Kernel update with OC).
Aokp
@moliverac8 follow me and i follow back
cm9 last nightly - stable and fast
cm10 has some problems with icon placement but also fast
I`m not using cm10 because of audio routing problem (I`m using phone on my p3100)

CM10 19.10
I have bought this today only, so that is the only ROM I have tried so far.
Is stock JB faster/smoother?

So is it worth using stock everything 4.3?

Or is their stable kernels or roms already? Also what exactly is the benefits of roms? Never tried it before only kernels
Roms just give you more features and on 4.2 I used custom kernels because of bad battery life but stock 4.3 kernel is awesome in my opinion. I'm running cn10.2 unofficial because I like extra features (quick toggles, etc). Stock is a very good choice if you don't care about that stuff

4.4.2 or pa3.99

Hello my fellow nexus users, from last few days I have been changing ROMs and still not satisfied with any one, I mean if I go for features then I will have to sacrifice battery life n stability, I love to use Franco kernel but it is not compaitible with the most featureful ROM I.e mahdi ROM n if I go for purity then it still lacks a lot of features, my point is till pa 4.0 is in beta stage, I feel there is no benefit of upgrading from 4.3 to 4.4.2 , I mean pa 3.99 was stable, feature full n fast enough to satisfy all my needs, I need your suggestions that shud I revert back to 4.3 pa 3.99 or stay tuned for a better rom

I'd say stick with PA3.99. I mean the whole point of CUSTOM Roms is to have features that stock users dont. I still use Carbon Nightlies and still am on 4.3 JB.
When u finally have the custom features u want, Then upgrade
I use 4.4.2 with gravity box. Works wonderful and sufficient until there is a proper PA release.
