Where can I download GL Notecore RC2 ?
inside the CleaNote ROM Thread, Its made by the same person and has done quite a remarkable job
[ROM]*HYBRID*TMT_MIUI_1.0 BETA 3 Codename "BOIA CHE CULO C'HANNO FATTO" 06/30/12
i love miui but i hate miuihome,TMT_MIUI is great
My actual ROM, kernel and settings always at signature.
I've been using the paranoid android rom for about 2 days now and I'm really loving the tablet/phone ui hybrid feature. This ui feature is awesome on the note because the note itself is a hybrid device. Best rom I've used thus far, no issues at all. Thanks paranoid team, excellent job! :good:
I'm running stock rom, but custom kernals. Speedmod. Must have with ICS.
Testing kingDroid 4.2, seems ok, but then I flash more times than a man in a Mac in a park full of Swedish athletes...

on ics stunner
i am on ics stunner 1.6.26
I am on Paranoid too.this rom is very amazing and really smooth with thor kernel ...

Interesting to see so many are using stock....why so popular, I've not tried stock ICS yet:cyclops:, went straight from GB to the custom roms

Baked , AOKP. Both on a 3113 , I flashed some 3110 stock Romswell deodexed Roms at some point on my 3113 , they was pretty sweet.
Jelly Bean stock is soooooooo nice.Samsung did a good job on that. Very smooth but not much good if you want to make themes and try them out. so its back to CM1O , good base to theme on , but I do miss Baked, that's a bad ass ROM !
Aokp then cm10
Cm10 is found in www.teamhacksung.org

Romswell for stock is the best stock jelly bean for me, but google now have problem (no voice recording).
CM10 for AOSP, but need to custom it as Trebuchet got many problems (i use Apex) and Kernel update with OC).
Aokp
@moliverac8 follow me and i follow back
cm9 last nightly - stable and fast
cm10 has some problems with icon placement but also fast
I`m not using cm10 because of audio routing problem (I`m using phone on my p3100)

CM10 19.10
I have bought this today only, so that is the only ROM I have tried so far.
Is stock JB faster/smoother?
Well I have a r800x unlocked BL nd was wondering what exactly is the best rom/kernel combination for my play
I'm not big on the gaming functionality but do want camera and wifi Bluetooth stuff like that and I was also wanting a JB rom bad but ICS will do if the JB is too unstable
So yea XDA tell me what your choices are
Sent from my GBTweaked v7.1 r800x using Tapatalk 2
To be honest my first choice would be to tell you to check out miui-australia(its got its own kernel & its ics)... But only because its got loads of space...very stable, but aokp is good also (With wedgess lupus cm9 based kernel)...thats just me tho... As for jb I personally haven't tested any... But here good things about cj's slimbean port...
Sent from my R800x
Check out Slimbean with Turbo kernel.
If you want something a little more stable, try regular CM9 or MIUI Australia.
Sent from my Amazon Kindle Fire
I had to revert to FXP CM9 with the Adreno ICS driver, the driver didn't work with SlimBean for me. Still, stock GB 2.3.4 is fastest for gaming.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
I would suggest the P.A.C.man ROM. It's got bugs, but I never thought my play would be this smooth. With 4.1.2, my phone is relevant again!
I never really liked miui as I flashed it to my brothers Droid x and it was to ummm.....IOS'ee for me love the look of aosp the best

I'm using FXP 151 with latest lupus v9 kernel. This latest kernel update was awesome.
Pretty smooth and no problems at all untill now.
I would like to try a Jelly Bean based rom, tough. Haven't decided witch one...

This thread was obviously missed when it was started but best ROM threads shouldn't be posted as there is no such thing as "best ROM", it's all down to what suits you best so try them yourself and find what's best for you.
Thanks

Hello all, I have a Nexus S device.
Before JB I use to flash CM every day and it works great. Now I have installed official JB and I want to speed-up my little machine.
Which ROM/kernel do you recommend?
I need stability and battery life.
Thanks and best regards.

I have this combo too. Everything is smooth and the battery life is very good.
Gesendet von meinem Nexus S mit Tapatalk 2
There is no "best" combo and often these types of threads are closed. Why? Every phone runs in a different way. I say pick 1 ROM and kernel, give it 2 days and then switch it up. It is easy to clean install with TB. Example: try Cm10 stable version with latest marmite. Then try it with Matr1x kernel, etc. Then try AOKP with marmite, Matr1x, Trinity, etc. then try another ROM with ....
Find what is best for YOU. We all like different things and all our phones perform different on different combos.
Flash and have fun!
Thanks!
I will try CM10 with marmite.
Best regards.
I'd recommend Paranoid Android with matr1x kernel....lightning fast, very stabile, fully-featured, CM-based, and the best battery life of any combo for me
Everyone has their own preferences, so really it comes down to what you are looking for. Personally I'm running Strawberry (Metal Dragon Overlord or whatever) and Marmite 7.1. I'm not quite ready to test the 4.2 ROMs, but I know people who are running them and loving them.
Hell - people like to go back to Gingerbread!

Me too!
I'm on RasbeanJelly + AirKernel, great combo too.
I'm on CM10 but haven't flashed a different kernel..
Really happy of phone's performance so far but perhaps battery life is improvable..
Since so many of you are happy with Marmite I guess I'll give it a shot..
I'm coming from AOKP JB milestone1 which was the best JB ROM i had tried since to days ago.I now have Jellyshot with marmite kernel and everything is smooth and stable. If you want a JB rom try this.
Could somebody port jellyshot to the ns4g?

Ok people,
I have CM10 and followed your advise.. just flashed Marmite 7.1 kernel
I was expecting to see in kernel version (in phone settings) something like Marmite 7.1 blabla.. instead I see an 3.0.52-bedalus_CM-0347--blablabla..
I know mr Bedalus is the developer of Marmite, but anyway I just wanna make sure and make this stupid question..
Do you see the same blabla kernel version as I do or have I somehow not flashed the kernel right
forgive my noobness

Hello guys, I'm looking for the fastest kernel+ROM combination for this phone (i9000). Would be awesome if it was with android 4.1.2 (at least)

There is no fastest Rom and kernel. You have to find what suits for you.

I use gamerzrom and im happy.
Depends on you really what apps are you running.

Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
i do not like cm's overcharging that made my battery swell
also i find it not reliable as often i had missed calls (phone restarted or lost signal) while it waas untoched on the desk
Best rom+kernel is GamerzROM Legend Edition v3.0 (Android 4.2.2) with Semaphore Kernel 2.9.25s . PM me if you need a download link for the ROM.

AOSP Super Nexus ROM 2.0 BIULD 4 + Mackay Kernel 0.318 is the best and fastest combination for your I9000...I am using it right now and no problems so far with this kernel you get 396MB of RAM and purest and closest to stock Android ROM...That's all from me the choice is yours now...
Could you link it?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2219235 - for the BEST ROM Super Nexus 2.0 BUILD 4
go to http://get.cm/?device=galaxysmtd and pick RC4 build or later. It'll probably not dissapoint. There's helly bean which I've been using before, but it hasn't been updated since 130426 I think, and it's really disappointing compared to cm 10.1 RC4.
Other than that, I guess the last cm9 is pretty good and cm7 but it's old now. If you decide to go with some kind of stock rom, particularily value pack. Try hardcore's last speedmod kernel for sgs. It's THE best kernel I've used with the phone regarding speed/stability.
It's a pity hardcore doesn't make cm kernels.
Personally
My selection: Fastest, stable, .... ¿but? battery eater: GamerzROM Legend Edition v3.0 (semaphore Updated). Promising one, with good battery live SuperNexus 2.0 - I9000 - Milestone 1. Battery live and goof performance: SAURON (GB). C-RoM Mix good other to try. And maybe you like Slim Bean. Test and decide..
For me Infamous AOKP with semaphore has been good
Thanks bro atm i'm trying the gamerzROM. Its quite good but as u said battery eater.. Ill try the rest later( there are still some game to test)
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
are you aware that gamerzROM / SuperNexus / AOKP are all the same with few diff PNG's in few system apk's and all are still based on CYANOGEN ?
so best you can do is use CM latest nightlies (from it comes your beta rom versions) in combination with some kernel that You like
so none of those got better battery life or better perrformance - the only diff betwen them is the kernel.
remember CM is the base and then comes someone calling himelf a dev like faryab and copy pastes cm and aokp features,
depending on complication of that he might screw it or leave it ok as it was in CM or AOKP
then adds some kernel stolen from another devs and there you go a ROM
more features it incorporates (kernel) the worse - belive me ...
and stock 2.3.6 is still more stable lacks only jb look but thats i9000 for **** sake ...
i really like semaphore with slimbean
good for you, semaphore is good kernel maker and as for themes i like stock look
What's the difference between nightlies and simple cyanogen? Do you know? And u say then that i should simply take back my cm10.1 with semaphore?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
nightlies introduce new functions, bugfixes first but also might be unstable or even introduce faulty update packages leading to a softbrick (had such situations once)
normal are tested and marked as stable, daily use (bs)
And u sure that cm is compatible with semaphore? Or do u know any faster kernel for i9000?
