First powerdown, pull out Battery, SIM CARD, and EXT.SD card, press power button for a minute, than powerup without SIM and Ext.SD Card...make sure you have more than 50% battery charge before you attempt any sort of flashing.
This alone could have solved your problem, if it did not, than you can follow this guide to try again or get any file you may need from My Android Collections and or a solution from My Android Solutions

No, your not "bricked". If you can get into download or recovery your fine, a bootloop just means you screwed something up and didnt flash correctly or correct roim maybe.
Start over, restock using overcome guide/pack, then flash the correct cm9 via recovery for your model/variant.

No way to avoid stock when "only" CWM recovery is "gone"
Hi all,
the last CW-9 nightly update finally did it... boot loop and CWM recovery can not be selected any more (Vol UP and Power). Download mode (Vol DOWN and Power) works, but I would really hate to restock, because my only nandroid backup and Titanium backups are on the internal SD and that would get formatted in the process.
I looked around for other phones and it seems as if they can simply load an image of CWM 6.xxx via ODIN (I tried fastboot but that did not find my device at all).
I could not find any CWM V6 image as a .tar file anywhere. Anyony have a link?
Does anyone know a simple and fast way to get back my nandroid state WITHOUT restock?
Thanks

Thanks pressed for that! At least now I know why fastboot did not work...
Still, does anyone know if I can fix the boot image with Odin ... or Heimdal or whatever?

But since you ask again.
extract the boot.img from good package and
heimdall flash --kernel ./boot.img --recovery ./boot.img

Yesss Sir, I did read. But maybe you sent the wrong link, because your "answer" (not his) points a an open question. Or how do you read his last sentence "does anybody know how I can go about doing this?" -- As to the heimdall solution, I tried that, only to find that it was unable to write to my internal SD. So, i guess the partition scheme got messed up :crying::crying::crying:
Anyway, I gave up (this time) and restocked. Back to my last accessible data backup from May...:crying:
Should somebody still find a "real" answer, please do respond. Even if the answer should be a clear "it can't be done", so be it. Or ask St. CDESAI to please please make "our" version of CW Reboot.
I sent you the right link for those who messed up their kernel .
If your partition gone bad then no wonder it won't work.
Now you have restocked, you can always start from scratch.

[SOLVED] Stuck at boot logo on reboot

Ever since CM10.2 came out I've not been able to get it to work. Everytime I flashed the rom it would work on the first boot, then after a reboot it would hang at the boot logo. CM11 did exactly the same thing. No amount of wiping this or flashing that fixed the problem. I've seen many other people with the same symptoms posting on this forum and others and most of them use the same solution I did: revert to CM10.1 or similar.
Today I solved my problem. The solution that worked for me was to use the TWRP 2.6.3.0 from Dhacker29 (twrp263_xt907.img), flash that to recovery then install the zips from there. I can't post a link because of forum restrictions but put androidhosting.org/Devs/Dhacker29/msm8960/ infront of that file name and you'll be there.
It sounds really simple and I've seen people say "just use TWRP 2.6.3.0 and it will work", but not all TWRP 2.6.3.0 images are the same apparently. I was using TWRP 2.6.3.0 before and it never worked. I tried downloading it from multiple sources and it still didn't work. Dhacker29's version is slightly different and worked perfectly. I don't know why my phone was picky about it and most other people don't have a problem, but I know I'm not the only one and I just wanted to share the solution.
Here is Dhackers flashable. I did not know there was a difference but the md5 is different from my regular one : e33eac18b87c826155f383169b3a17a4
For the recovery.img inside. twrp263_xt907.img.
My other twrp 263, not sure of the source, but I think mattlgroff :
Md5 : 791c142be27a541ea36b9fc97c684a50
The 791' is the one I suspect of bad behaviour.
I am not rooted or anything
So my problem is when I turn on the device it will just hang up on the animated boot of the red eye. I can enter the stock recovery without any problems and can get to fastboot. The fastboot screen says its locked. So I have tried rsdlite and VRZ_XT907_9.8.1Q-94-1_CFC.img to flash the stock rom on it. rsdlite says that it finished but the phone just remains on the red eye boot animation. can anyone give me some help.
thanks in advance.
again not rooted or custom mod, can fully boot, fastboot locked.

2nd they both passed md5. then I put the vrz_xt907_9.8.1q-94_cfc.xml.zip through rsd and it failed. So I ran the other one, vrz_xt907_9.8.1q-78-1_1ff.orig.xml.zip, and rsd completed. But it still gets hung up on reboot and wont go pass the red eye. even after waiting 5min for it to boot. rsd is now telling me to manually reboot the device. So I did and waited another 5mins and still stuck at red eye. what is the other file that rsd failed on for. And what am I doing wrong here.

Xml is the fxz, restore .zip.
That zip needs to be extracted to a "work" folder. Install the latest moto drivers from the moto site. On a mac use parallels desktop.
Run rsd lite 615 & choose the .xml file from the rsd ... button.
Use the latest fxz/xml.zip - ...94 which will lock your boot if you come from ...66 or earlier if you are not unlocked beforehand!
If on ...78 or earlier remove the getvar line from the xml commands.

[Q] Failed to root s4

I´m new here and I'm hope in the correct forum. Sorry my English isn't the best but I´ll try to explain, maybe someone can help me.
I've never rooted a phone before. I was just trying to root my Samsung Galaxy S4 4G(Australia) with ODIN and my phone now stuck with the blue colour legend Recovery booting for at least 6 hours now. i think i put the wrong tar. file in PDA. i unplugged the battery and put it back in but once i press the power button it switch to the blue colour legend Recovery booting again >!<is there any chance that i can fix it and can anyone help me plz..i'm freaking out
Pull out the battery and see if you can boot into download mode by holding power and down volume. If so some warning screen will pop up and continue. If this works you should be able to recover the phone with the right tar rile.

First list what exact model number your galaxy s4 is. If the phone doesn't boot it should say on the back of the phone when you take off the battery.
Once you do that you should boot into download mode and Odin the correct tar. That should boot you right up then you can perform a factory reset.

You're in the Sprint S4 forums. You need to look for the International S4 thread that has your Odin tar file then flash that. You should be just fine. Either search here for it or Google " xda i9505" and that'll find it for you.

[Q] Galaxy S5 Stuck in Infinite Recovery Boot Cycle

I have had my S5 for two days now. I haven't done any modifications to it and have kept it completing stock. I was browsing the internet in Chrome when I got a notification saying there was a security breach and that the phone needed to restart in order to undue any changes made. So I pressed the restart button and it started to restart normally until I saw in tiny blue text "RECOVERY BOOTING....", I didn't think much of it until nothing started to happen after a minute. I let it go for another 5 minutes and then 15 minutes. I came back and still it was at the same screen. I decided to turn the device off and on to see if that would do anything, nothing happened. I took the battery out and waited a few minutes to put it back in, again nothing new. I was looking into other threads about this happening to other phones because the S5 is so new there is nothing on it doing this. But I found no useful information. So my question is, how can I fix this? I don't mind having to reset it, there's only a few apps installed. I'm tech savvy, so I'll now what you mean if you give me any tips. Thank you!
If doesn't matter if you lost the installed apps, then boot to recovery and choose wipe data reset factory and then wipe data cache.then restart your mobile it should solve your problem.

I should have mentioned this in the post but I have tried that, nothing happens. It's already trying to boot into recovery, I wonder if I can get it out of trying to do that.
Try to boot into download mode then restart normally, maybe it gets you out of the recovery booting loop.

And if this didn't work.
I think you should download the stock rom from sammobile or samsung-updates.com sites and reinstall it again.

So I reinstalled the stock rom and now the recovery boot text is gone, but it still doesn't actually boot up into Android. Looks like I will have to take the phone back to the store and hope I can get a replacement. Thanks for your help!
