Do not turn off target...

I have been waiting for almost 3 hours for my Elocity7 to completely shut down. But it won't!
I have pressed the power off button a few times but keep getting the same message, do I want to Power Off.
Prior to turning off the device I did have a flash drive in the USB port but did wait to remove it until the message came up to eject the device.
Any & all help would be appreciated!
Reset the device by using the reset hole on the back see if that helps

Thanks so much for your reply.
I did try the reset button but nothing happened.
Finally the battery went dead. Am now recharging the device. Hope it works.
If it happens again, hold the power button in for 15 seconds to force shutdown.
Good to see another A7 owner in RI
Has anyone started getting the sleep of death since the touchwiz update? My tab at random times has a black screen and doesnt respond to the power button. If i hook it to my laptop it is detected. I have to hold down the power button for 20 seconds before it shuts off and turns back on. Any ideas?

Same here. It usually happens after I charge overnight
I've done this soo many times and have all the files for multiple devices in folders on my hard drive. Went to revert back to stock but kept getting a boot loop, So I re odin'ed with the wrong pit file on accident. I used the P1 PIT file on a P1C from Sprint. Now it wont turn on. When I plug it to the main charger something turns on but its like a screwed up screen. if I hold down the volume down button, and plug it up, it will go into download mode but wont connect to the computer. What do I DOOOOOOOOO!!!
At least you still have download mode.
Just keep trying.
Get Odin running and cable connected and tab powered down.
Then try to volume down + power
Sometimes suddenly the Odin will see the device. If that happens, flash away.

I've tried, Power button and volume down does nothing. Only way I can get it into download mode is to hold down volume and plug it up to the charger. Doesn't work with a computer. I'm looking to have this guy JTag it. So hopefully I'll have it back.
bootloop
hi i had this problem you need to leave it on charge for 4 hours remove all samsung softwear and drivers hold power button till it switches of power on with volume down its ok still black screen then plug into laptop wait 15 mins till download shows up then use overcomes back to stock or any other rom good luck
Hi,
i just made a shutdown to my Nexus 4. And now it wont start anymore.
I tried to hold the power button for 40 sec but nothing happened. If I connect it to power it doesn't show any LED...
Just let it charge for a bit, then try booting the phone again.
Try to hold power and volume down till you boot in boot loader. From there just select reboot.

I tried going into the booloader by pressing power keys and on button and nothing happened. Now the tablet wont respond to anything, and I cannot turn it back on. Any idea what happened?
Should be vol down + power keys. Also put it on a charger, perhaps it is just drained. If battery is too low, it won't boot.

Vol down + power key allowed me to turn it on. thanks.
If anyone else has this issue and the above does not resolve your issue. Charge... Then hold the power button for 60 seconds. Should boot.

Yea I tried this last night. Before 15Q it was the standard VolUp + VolDwn + Power. But it won't even turn on trying that now. I could turn it on, bootloop, and hold power to force a shutdown... but couldn't get into bootloader.
I kept screwing with mine and used just Power + one of the Volume buttons and it booted directly into my custom recovery.
Mine was fully charged. Mine was bootlooping and I could turn it on with no problems but couldn't get into the bootloader AT ALL. Luckily I had a custom recovery on there to ADB Push files over.

It VolUp+VolDown, it is Power+VolUp for recovery and Power+VolDown for bootloader
Has been that way since initial release, though sometimes you get lucky pressing both and it gets you one or the other.
