If EE are bold enough to put N2 on their website as an LTE compatible phone, I'm pretty sure they'd have double checked that it does indeed work.
Plus no one has any information on the N7105 until later. Bad rep was just trying to get a sale. Agree that his english sucks though.

Hey guys,
So wasn't sure if it was worth mentioning (hope it's not a waste of time) of a reply I had from SE when I emailed them to ask how I update software and apps such as office suite without having to purchase them off the android market. The reply was that the only way to update such software is through their own software updates. Then they went on to say that there is a big software update which will add new features will be arriving in Q4.
I asked if this was the android 2.1 update that they proudly announced to customer's would be arriving in Q3? To which i got no response.
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up and tell u not to get too excited about the update being with us in Q3.

I can't tell where you're from but if you emailed support and they said Q4 you're likely from the US. SE is doing a staggered rollout where some parts, likely just Europe, will get it in Q3 while the US will get it in Q4. This is for the unbranded updates of course, for branded updates you'll have to ask the various providers.
SE has made a lot of answers to the update questions on twitters. Before Q3 was the only reply.

If all you have is an email with some customer support guy in India who knows nothing except for what's provided to him by Sony, keep it to yourself. Front line customer service reps know far less than you do, because they don't get paid enough to care. If you managed to run into the CEO of SE and he said "Android 2.1 is delayed", that's proof, and please bring it here.
Here's a final question: Why in God's name would they announce 2.1 was coming out in Q4 only to speed it up to Q3 and then delay it back to Q4? Wouldn't it be safer and result in less customer backlash to have just kept it as Q4? It's safe to say that a majority of markets will get 2.1 in Q3. Lesser markets, like say, Antarctica or Canada () will probably get it in Q4.

Thanks for posting the link. That should help alley concerns that SE is going to mess again again. Anyway, let's not be too harsh on the thread creator. I don't think he wanted to spread misinformation or create panic. He is just a concerned X10 owner.

It just boggles my mind that it wasn't posted in any of the other threads for the same topic. Talk from a customer service rep? We have that thread. Talk about 2.1? There's several.
It's awesome that someone wants to post, and their opinion is always wanted, but, when that opinion is thrown wildly out there without even considering the fact that many people are discussing the topic in other threads it gets to me. Pet peeve. I think what makes it worse is the fact that a new "2.1 is delayed" thread has popped up every single day this week, and all of them were still on the front page of the forum when this was posted.
Anyway, my bad. Just looooooook around before you post!
But when the firts devices are updated and someone uploads the firmware, everyone will be able to flash it, right?

OP: just a friendly FYI - customer service emails of this particular type are not trusted sources of information. They typically start receiving training only shortly before any releases. Remember all the new iPhone hype earlier this year? Customer service didn't know anything, or were at the very least prohibited from admitting to anything before the 'official' announcement.

We have gotten no news of any kind of update for our Samsung Vibrants. No Gingerbread update, not even a small 2.2.1 update, and I honestly believe that's just plain wrong. This has nothing to do with this phone being too slow or too old to run Gingerbread, heck.. it can even run Ice Cream Sandwich. And before you stop reading, no.. this isn't one of those threads that is just posted to complain, we have to do something about this. Maybe some people don't care for an update, maybe some don't understand what an actual OFFICIAL update could do for us users and devs. The lack of support for this device from both T-Mobile and Samsung has been horrible. Ask a representative from T-Mobile about an update, they'll say; Oh, It's coming.. Samsung is working on it. Ask a representative from Samsung about an update, they'll say; It's being worked on.. no ETA. So now, either both of the companies are clueless of their own product, and honestly don't know what is going on, or they just won't give us a straight.. 'No, you won't be getting an update.' which I think is dumb. I got hooked on Android because of it's openness, the support and the community. One of the only major updates that we got was through KIES, it wasn't even OTA. Maybe most of you don't care, but T-Mobile and Samsung should do right by us. I don't care about getting the latest and the greatest, I honestly would respect both Samsung and T-Mobile more if they gave us a straight answer.
So, what I'm asking is.. please help us by signing this petition and spreading the link wherever you can, because we have the power to fight this, we have the numbers and we can do it. This phone isn't super old, it's one of the best phones I've owned. Samsung did a great job with it, but that gives them no reason to stop supporting it. I got this on a two year contract, they should atleast support it for two years, and simply because it's in the Android spirit.

to get in contact with the seller you have to log-in on Taobao (account needed)
but there are sites that basically specialize in buying from Taobao for people outside of China,
all you need to provide them is the page url, how many pieces you want and they will give you a price,
which is normally the actual cost on taobao, their commission and shipping fee to you.

If you watch the video, it seems that he works for a company hence the (betaNews.com) and received early access to post review/unboxing. Similar to other tech Youtubers

Yes. Hello. For those who have followed my "ignorant" and "arrogant" post of release date on the 17, I apologize. I did not receive my Galaxy Note 4 (Obviously) however *side note, I did receive my iPhone 6 Plus 128GB on Verizon wireless business account on Friday* Moving on, since officially the White Galaxy Note 4 ships on the Oct 31, will most people go into the store next Thursday and purchase the white or Black. For those who already purchased the White online at Verizon, will you cancel your white order and walk in or wait for 31st.
