PS: the number of thanks and comments left here will determine the continuity and updating of this thread's content...the more thanks and comment shows that more people use this, hence it requires updating. Also update will be in the form of adding new roms and not the updating of build numbers.
PM me if you have a problem with this thread

the link still leads to it. I really think it will be time consuming to update the dates and build numbers.....anyways thanks for the tip:good: soo far as i don't have to change the whole thing all the time...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1605016 (Andromadus Test Builds) should be listed under CM10/AOSP 4.1 not 4.0

I personally think it is pretty important. Otherwise, what's the point of the list?
I want to know the ROMs that are still being actively worked on, so it would be easier for me to just look at the thread listing and their activity levels to find the ROMs I would consider flashing as opposed to your list.
That's just my opinion though. I do appreciate the effort and I am sure others do as well. However for my personal requirements, it's not very useful in its current form.

looks liek a good list...very nice orginization!

If I were you I'd delete this post since i'm being bothered "that much" and I dont even have time once a month to get up to date my contribution....
Well, you know what? I've just realized that you're 17....

Great List
Wow, you people want to be spoon fed every little thing. Thats the problem with the whole country. You actually have to click on something and READ some information for yourself after he has already done the real work? And you complain? If its such a big problem then why dont you take what he has done, put the info that you want on it and post it yourself? If you think its that easy to do and you have the time to complain about it. Oh, but then what ever will your little heart have to complain about... you'd find something, I am sure of that. I am sick of lazy people. It's like a highly contagious virus taking over the country. When you go to work, do you complain that someone else hasn't already done your job? Ugh.
Thanks for the list, I actually clicked the links and read about the ROMS and if they were still under maintenance. Great Job. Was very informative.

For those who like trying various roms.

The developers who brought us mikshift have a beta release called mikshifted g.
It offers:
-based off leaked Gb rom
-gingerbread 2.3.3
-HTC sense 2.1
-HTC sense 3.0 lockscreen
-HTC sense 3.0 messaging app
- HTC sense 3.0 USB modes
I've tried just about every rom on here then saw this one and decided to share the info. It runs pretty dang good for beta release. As far as I can tell everything works great. You can find the rom on the Mik Mik devs website.
Have fun
It's also in the dev section here on xda...

Yes the aamikam "the wizard" knows how to cook a Rom. When I switched to android I tired quite a few. Found his to be the fastest, most stable, and finished roms around. His latest MikShifted G - Sense2.1 Beta is also great. Have to keep reminding myself it's a BETA.

Does this work on AceSmod007 v41?
no b'cos it is a hybrid rom made sense 2.1 and 3.0.I'd would to use acesmod007 but i don't know how it feels, the battery, apps, space, any lags and ur thoughts on the rom
Because i really want to use the mod of yours. I really appreciate your mod and the acesmod007 rom works very good. And the only thing i really want to try is the beats mod. Maybe ill try some roms and install your mod
ok,nice for the reply, you can download a sense 3.0 rom on the dev's forum, follow all the steps and flash.I recommend coolexe sense 3.0 rom or tamirda's revolution rom, sense 3.0 acesmod rom from ur rom provider. Then report to me after some usage.u still haven't answered my question how does the acesmod007 rom feels on ur phone.
Dont forget to hit the thanks button
Thank you for your suggestions, acesmod007 werks very good. It was my first rom on my desire and i fell in love with it right away. Battery life is great, and its just ideal for daily use.
This may be a retarded question, but why cant this work on Hybrid Sense 2.1 + 3 or even Sense 2.1? Is it dependent on Sense? I would think cuz its an audio feature the visuals wouldnt be a factor.

I believe they are searching for C#/C++ coders more than smali testers. But if that app really has the ability to completely reverse engineer apks to java classes and back, we can expect radical improvements in ability to code.

[INFO] Preferred Setup for Vibrant

I have recently came into the Vibrant community, coming from the MyTouch 4G community, and all I can say is that this phone is so much better, except the 4G portion.
For the past 3 days, I have been flashing over and over, different ROMs, kernels, etc. I just wanted to post the best setup that I believe is the fastest and most stable for this phone:
ROM - CyanogenMod 7.1.0.1
KERNEL - 2.6.35.14 EB-Streamline
GPS FIX - Yet Another GPS Fix (YAGF) Version 2
RECOVERY - ClockworkMod 5.0.2.7
BOOTLOADER - Gingerbread Bootloader
If you have a better setup that you have been using, that you believe is faster and more stable, please let me know. Thanks.

The only thing I haven't tried yet is the last nightly that the Cyanogen Team put out before retiring the Vibrant, nightly 182. Have any opinions on it before I flash it?
ROM- ICS PASSION
Kernel - Streamline - eugene373's
Bootloader: GB
Thats the best i've had.
Not only does it give the best GPS and battery life, its also the newest firmware, which I love the new UI.
I get around a day of battery life on light - medium-wise moderate usage, and GPS works all day long for me, there are infact some issues, it is BETA Like Mute/unmute issue, which I think is the ONLY major issue left.

Is this an actual ICS 4.0.3 ROM, or is it just a modified Gingerbread ROM to look like it? Because I've looked at many other threads for ICS development, and there are very few that operate at a level this one claims. I understand that in the settings it says 4.0.3, but that's easy to spoof. Has anyone actually verified this as an actual 4.0.3 ROM? If so, amazing, I will flash it soon. Thanks

Having ran this and onecosmics i9000 port myself I can say that yes it is indeed ICS.
Just to let you know passion has the mute/unmute bug. Some people can live with it....I find it too annoying tbh. Everything else is really smooth and fast though.

Awesome. I'm downloading Passion now. Do you know if this ROM uses the default ICS launcher, or is it the Trebuchet launcher that CM9 will be using when released?

Actually, I just installed Passion 10.6, and it uses Trebuchet 0.1 launcher, not the stock launcher.....but, this ROM is amazing, my new daily driver. My new setup:

KERNEL: 3.0.15-ICUP ICS-Streamline

Mine's a little different:
ROM: ICS Passion v10.6
KERNEL: 3.0.8_ICS_Passion-Vibrant-g0143457-dirty
RECOVERY: ClockworkMod 5.5.0.2
BOOTLOADER: Gingerbread Bootloader
Just flashed to v10.6, but my last v10 flash lasted me over 2 days on battery! This ROM is amazing!

What version and ROM would you currently put on your Desire Z?

Hello
Ive come from Mimicry (4.0) which is pretty good but I want to enjoy those new JB features. For stable reasons, which would you go with: 4.0, 4.1, or 4.2? And what ROM?
Thank you

I'm currently running andromadus aosp 4.2.2. Pretty stable and smoothest performance I've found so far.

You make it sound like there is a final version out. They are just putting out builds right?

Yes just builds at the moment. But over the past 2 months a lot of the JB builds have gotten to the point where they can be used for daily roms now. Not many 4.0+ stable final builds, mimicry 4.0 is the only one that comes to mind.
BTW, Im having trouble finding the official GAPPS for 4.2.2
Where are they?

Just red this in the thread of flinnys CM 10.1 ROM: there is a link on his website, just poke around a little and you'll find it...sry can't link you there cus atm I'm at my grandma's with ****ty mobile internet :/
And not to get off topic: I use my vision now as a facebook phone with not google account and nothing else but fb-app, dropbox and the spoofing ROM from ghul (CM 10.1)
But before I changed the daily phone device I had dabsa prime v12 and it was the best sense ROMiever had on the vision

Nothing on his site.
There is literally a thread like this popping up EVERY WEEK. Read my post here, and give some ROMs a go.
And it's blatantly obvious that 4.0 is going to be more stable than 4.1 because there are STABLE releases, and 4.1 is going to be more stable than 4.2 because there have been well over 100 test builds of 4.1 whereas 4.2 is up to about 10 - 15 depending on which one you go for.
To reiterate:
For stability = 4.0
For uptodatedness = 4.2
I wouldn't go with 4.1, it's pretty much in limbo at the moment if you apply my above logic.

I think I used these: donandroid.com/gapps (sorry no linking till 10 posts)
Jb-20121212 are the ones to use
i like sense4.1,don't like JB UI
I THINK
4.2 AOSP Build 9. Look no further for stability, snappiness as that of near stock Gingerbread CM9.
I'm also using the AOSP 4.2.2 from Fyodor but Build 10. Just about to change to the Jelly Baby v1.1.0 just to give it a try but the Build 10 is THE fastest and snappiest rom I've ever used so far. Battery life is roughly 2 days and multitasking is just flying even without Supercharger.
Just give it a try!
Cheers
I've switched to Gen.Y VisionX R3 running ICS 4.0.3 and found it painfully slow after CM7.2 latest nightly. But the looks and feel much better than CM7 of couse. Which I had a ROM as fast as CM7 and at least half as good looking as Sense roms
AW: What version and ROM would you currently put on your Desire Z?
I flashed ASOP 4.2.2 from Fyodor, and it's very fast and there are no issues I found. Will keep it for daily use.

If you happen to come across Warm-Z-TwoPointTwo-Vision, that would be wonderful. I know it's insanely old, but I was drawn to it. xD

Sorry, I don't have this ROM
For those interested as well, I have a copy of the Glite Trackpad Wake mod that works for pretty much all AOSP/Stock Gingerbread ROMs I've used. I can post a mirror if that would be wanted by anyone.

Okay here are the 2 links - the first one is the ROM, second does t-mobile wifi calling. I plan on leaving the files up on my drive for a bit (until I need the space for something else).

I guess, I mean I will keep it there until I need the space (which may or maynot happen). I think what we need is a site like what niksie had, which had all our ROMS in one place.

I'll try to make a dropbox folder, and I'll add 25 gb to it by using a sense 4.0 rom. I'll do it either today or tomorrow, I'll do it when I have time.
Not sure if anyone has this uploaded somewhere else but I'll drop this link here. This is a trackpad wake mod for Gingerbread based Sense roms http://cl.ly/15043f401Q3W
I made a folder for ROMs. I can share this folder with you guys, but I need your email addresses to invite you. After the invite, you can upload ROMs to this folder.
After scouring the net just to flash this rom to see what it was like (took a good 15 minutes at least), I figured I'd upload it for anyone else wanting to download it in the future. It's the WP7.0.2 rom based off MIUI, enjoy: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tew7onyqohq9iuo/vision_wp7.0.2.zip
*Edit*
Well I totally did not see this was already uploaded... xD I guess it'll be a backup mirror link, my apologies
