TNT/TBS apps - Galaxy Tab 2 General

I have the TNT and TBS apps loaded on my 3 devices, they work great on my bionic running ICS leak but on my galaxy tab 2 or my XYBoard with ICS leak they will not play videos! I have flash on all devices, am I missing something?

HD

Knowing that the milestone 2 can record in hd and the d2 is practiacally the same phone, would that mean its only a software issue preventing the D2 from hd video?

Im willing to bet its a software limitation. I really don't think they changed much from the d2 to the milestone 2 other than the colors in blur. Now if we can get a system dump from the milestone may be able to enable it. I know I would love to have 720p as an option

camera app

Could someone post the camera app from the milestone 2?
I want to see if using it on original milestone will enable 720p video to be taken.
720p record/playback is done because of Milestone 2 Hardware (CPU/GPU), not software.

Streaming media from phone to tab

Hi guys, i have HTC EVO 3D on 2.3.4 Gingerbread not rooted unlocked and a GALAXY Tab 10.1 P7500 Unlocked but rooted on 3.2 Honeycomb, i have a question is there a way to get media from my HTC EVO 3D to my GALAXY Tab like listen to music or watch videos that are on my EVO 3D to my GALAXY Tab.
Thank you!

BubbleUPnP can do the trick. Install it on your phone and then use AllShare on your tab

Tab 2 or note 10.1

If i use the tablet to surf and email..just basic things and watch movies. Would the tab 2 10.1 be sufficient enough because i don't wanna spend $500 for the note 10.1 if the tab will be fine. And how have the official updates been for the tab2... Thx in advance

I would say for basic stuff, you should be fine with the Tab2. The big reason to get the Note 10.1 over the Galaxy Tab 2 IMO would be if you used it for note taking, or artistic work, because you would have the S-Pen. Updates for the wifi only models have been coming about one per month from what I can tell, not sure about the 3G model. There hasn't been anything recently though, but I'm guessing that Samsung is spending time getting a Jelly Bean update ready rather than continuing to work with ICS. I'd guess that we'd get an official Jelly Bean OTA shortly after the SGS3 does, given the recent "leaks" popping up on SamMobile.
The tab 2 will keep you happy.
I wish my 7 was a 10 sometimes.
Install cm10 in this tab and you will make all basic and advanced tasks

Is movie playback decent? And what about lag

tab1:
1-tegra2 better in some games that need tegra chip but not better in videos as no neon libraries so less extesions work for videos
2-android honeycomb 3 not ics or jelly bean officially
3-front camera 2 mpixels back camera has flash
4-no sd card slot
tab2:
1-omap processor which is open architecture so more development friendly and operate more video extensions
2- ics official out of the box and leaked jelly bean (i think official in the near future)
3-front camera vga back camera has no flash
4-sd card slot up to 32 gb and some managed to operate 64 gb
5-thicker by about 1mm
6-front speakers so better audio directed to you
I recommend tab2 and install cm10 in it work good in this tab

I think tab 2 is a good option..only cons are no AMOLED display, No adobe flash player support and mediocre camera without flash.. if you don't mind these then tab 2 is an excellent choice

If you aren't installing random apps from the Market and aren't sideloading pirated apps (shouldn't do that anyway), my opinion is that you should be safe without an AV app. From what I've seen on various android news sites, most issues come from China, and only happen to get to the US and other western countries when they get popular on the Play Store before getting pulled by Google. The other source is pirated apps.

xbmc on droid x and cm9

cm9-dx-08192012.zip and xbmc nightly build xbmcapp-armeabi-v7a-debug-2012-10-02-no-neon-526d51b415582c71e3526022434fdf73c02acc0.apk
I was able to get bye the blank screen of death. connected to a dnla server and streamed media over wifi. The audio was choppy but it did bring a smile to see their making great progress. hope they keep up the great work!
I'll include the links.

A full-neon version may work better since the Droid X supports neon. Try it out and see if it gives any better performance.

performance was the same with neon. also, could not get even 1 high profile add-on to install properly. CM9 has been running solid. very impressed with it.
