I think I found the answer and I just want to share with the forum. Check the following link:

I though I had the answer to do a dual boot but it has been a real problem because nothing seems to work. I have search on several solutions. My laptop has the new efi boot, I try installing Ubuntu it created the entry on the loader but it doesn't boot. When I installed the grub it creates the entries but it does not boot

GPT/UEFI support is sparse among bootloaders. AFAIK, GRUB doesn't support it; you'll need to move to GRUB2. Below is a page that has some UEFI-capable bootloaders for Linux, although as the page demonstrates, some level of "geekness" is required.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/UEFI_Bootloaders
Barring these, you can try a commercial bootloader. Acronis OS Selector, part of its Disk Director package, supports GPT & UEFI.
http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/diskdirector/
The fallback solution is simply to revert to MBR format. If needed, downsize to a 2TB HDD for boot drive.
I don't have a GPT setup currently, so can't provide firsthand experience. Good luck.

I did install grub2 and both OS get listed but Ubuntu boots to a blank screen seems something with the resolution. Ubuntu website suggest to install in a text environment I have to try that but I would like the graphical env to work. I am doing all this after I try dual installation of win 7, win 8 with no success on the efi environment.

I end up converting from uefi to MBR using Ubuntu USB live with gdisk and recovering the partitions to MBR with testdisk . I try resize partitions with parted but failed. I guess I have to clear the data partition I had. Then I will try to recover master boot record for with does with win 7 disk. I follow the instructions in the link http://commandlinewani.blogspot.com/2012/09/how-to-install-ubuntu-1204-in-sony-vaio.html?m=1

I follow the instructions on the website but can not recover boot info it was booting until I used gparted to expand the boot partition

Finally today I was able to dual boot after converting efi to MBR. I have win 7 and ubuntu. Working on Ubuntu was the only way to work. I did recover windows boot with the help of gparted making the recovery partition bootable the I run the recovery which brought windows to factory state. Then I did a boot repair on Ubuntu live USB. Both systems are booting perfect from GRUB2.
I think its impossible to dual boot on efi mode on Asus laptops.
I plan now to finally install windows 8 since GRUB2 its multiloader.

Grub is gonna go down as soon as you install windows 8,since all windows have the habit of deleting and overwriting any bootloader present on the mbr of the computer.

Grub goes down but I recover with boot repair on Ubuntu live and now I have Ubuntu, windows 8 and windows 7 all booting perfectly.

Possible? To copy a vista x64 to another partition and upgrade to 8?

Is it Possible? To copy a vista x64 installation settings programs and all to another partition and upgrade to 8? To have as a dual boot? I had 8 on as a dual boot but did not want to have to install all I use again.
If so how could this be done?

yes, it is possible. you will have to use a partition program to create a new partition on your hd. then put an image of your vista to the new partition. then just install win8 to the new partition. i would make a backup to the c drive first though.
so if i use the robocopy command from the disk an use robocopy C:\ G:\/e/esfraw/copyall/dcopy:t/r:0
that copies my install on c to my new partition g, but not sure if this sets g to active or not as been a while.
so would i then after doing this use upgrade install or custom install to upgrade drive g vista to win8?
I believe you can repartition an existing HDD with disk management in vista and up. Use to use a program called partition magic.
also make sure you have enough space on hdd have fun
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/partition-and-format-a-disk-in-windows/
1. Right click on the space listed as unallocated.
2. At the menu that comes up, click on the New Partition option.
3. You will now be presented with a wizard as to how you would like the partition to be created. At the first screen press Next.
4. At the following screen, determine if you need a primary or extended partition. For more information about these partitions you can read our partition tutorial listed above. Most people will be fine selecting Primary Partition. Select Primary Partition and press Next.
5. At the next screen you will be prompted to type in how much of the unallocated space you would like used for the new partition. In my example, my unallocated space is 26.43 GB, so I can choose to make a partition of that entire amount of only use half and save the rest for another partition. Regardless, of what you decide, you need to enter a size in the Partition size in MB: field, or stick with the default size, and press the Next button.
6. At the next screen select the drive letter you would like assigned to it, or use the default one given. When done, press the Next button. The drive letter that you assign here will be how you access the partition later.
7. In this step you will determine how you would like the new partition to be formatted. For the most part you are advised to use the NTFS file system. If you need a file system that can be readable by older operating systems like DOS, Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows ME, then you should instead choose the FAT32 file system.
8. Type a name in the Volume Label field that will be associated with this partition or leave it blank.
9. Finally press the Next button and you will come to a summary screen. Review how the partition will be created, and if you are satisfied, press the Finish button to complete the creation and formatting of your new hard disk partition.
My method was shorter and cloned current install to new partition but after that is the clone active or not. Also do I then use custom or upgrade option for win8?

Giving it a bash now taking hours to copy all 85 gigabyte across. It turned out active partition btw

you can use linux install tools.
you burn linux on a cd after you create a partition with linux tool, you install ubuntu.
after you boot on windows 8 USB/CD you delete and format the partition where's ubuntu and you install it
i do it work fine

NILFS Partition

Hi All,
As we all know now almost.every from is available in Native SD format to install android in SD card just like NAND using ext4 type partition.
NILFS is another choice is going to be implemented to increase the reliability and performance.
For windows user it is very difficult. Do we have any tool like MiniTool partition that allows us to make NILFS partition? If not then it should be available in recovery it self.
Does any one have any idea OR can implement it in recovery?
Thanks
I believe nativsd forum roughly pgs 67-70 have info on this to transfer partition from one card to another and also using gparted on virtual machine..

If gparted can create nilfs2 (did you mean to write that?) use ubuntu live from a usb stick. 4 gb is enough

Internal storages Swap. HOW ?

Hi,
i have two identical NC devices [ from the outside], but
here are the difference in the inside:
#first:
- internal storage for the apps that can't be unmounted have 0.9GB
- internal storage for the user data that can be unmounter/remounted have 5GB
#second:
- internal storage for the apps that can't be unmounted have 4.9GB
- internal storage for the user data that can be unmounter/remounted have 1GB
and i want to change #second NC internal storage to look/work as onthe #first
i read and tried this:
- changing from this
/devices/platform/omap/omap_hsmmc.0/mmc_host/mmc1 auto auto defaults voldmanaged=sdcard1:auto,noemulatedsd
/devices/platform/omap/omap_hsmmc.1/mmc_host/mmc0 auto vfat defaults voldmanaged=sdcard0:8,nonremovable
to this:
/devices/platform/omap/omap_hsmmc.0/mmc_host/mmc1 auto auto defaults voldmanaged=sdcard0:auto
/devices/platform/omap/omap_hsmmc.1/mmc_host/mmc0 auto auto defaults voldmanaged=sdcard1:8
Also fstab.encore are identical on both devices.
but does not helped.
Can anyone help with this or point to the right dirrection ?
Thanks
The issue is that BN changed the internal partitioning sizes for the newer Nook Colors. Dean Gibson developed a set of tools to repartition the newer nooks back to the original sizes if desired. See this thread:

You are using too new of a CWM it must be older than v6045. You can find one on my Nook Color Tips thread.

Managed to manually resize partitions.
Will try with older CWM, but is it possible to make .zip for newer CWM ?

No, it takes a little effort to change files and make sure they work. Not worth to me the extra effort when it can be flashed with the older CWM.

Each device uses different partition structures so there is not an easy answer for this. And on top of that most newer devices do not use the DOS partition structure like the PC and the Nook Color does. Therefore fdisk will not work on them. They use a newer structure called GPT that is more robust than the DOS structure. And you must use the tool gdisk.

Is it possible to erase all partitions and install windows on an android/win mini pc?

Is it possible to just delete all the partitions on a dual boot android/windows mini pc including recovery and system partitions to maximize space and install windows as I please? Or is there a partition I have to keep on to avoid bricking it?
In other words can I treat it like a normal pc, boot with a windows installation usb, erase all partitions on the hard drive, and install windows?
Also what are the chances of a successful windows 7 install on one of these windows 8.1/10 mini pcs? Willl it error out because win7 is generally just not compatible with for instance a z3735f chipset or its just a matter of drivers and I would be fine with the driverpacks iso?
Thanks.
No need to format all.Just keep the windows parition and the efi boot parition, after formating the android, edit the bcd file in efi parition by easybcd to change the boot order, then it s ok.
As for win7,I have never tried before, but it should be no problem.
