Try going to wi-fi settings, in menu, click "Advanced" and set wifi timeout instead of "When screen turns off" to "Never".
See if that works.

Hello,
I've been running WIUI on Defy for a number of months now, but I've not notched up the required number of posts on here to post to the development WIUI thread. It seems that people in this situation need to discuss any issues outside of the Dev area. I've had a search through the site and not found a new member WIUI thread. This seemed to be the most relevant place, so I'm starting a thread here. Please let me know if there's a better place. If this is OK, please draw this thread to the attention of Wajk and the other guys on the Dev thread.
Anyway here's my issue:
I've just upgraded from 1.9.9 to 2.2.3. The behaviour of the LED seems to have changed. It now shows green when it it charging. I read there was a "battery light" patch to do this. I assume it has now become part of the main image. I'd like to return to the old behaviour where the LED flashed when an SMS is received. I keep my phone on silent during the day and this is the way I notice I have received a message. Is there a way to do this? I've searched the settings for "LED", etc, and not found any option to change.
Thanks,
Rhys
I found this.
Thanks for the tip to check that build.prop file.
I found this in there:
# LED charging indicator mode
# off = keep LED off during charging
# white = white LED for 'charging', green LED for 'charged'
# rgb = mixed yellowish LED for 'charging', green LED for 'charged'
persist.sys.charge_led=rgb
Setting it to off disabled the charging LED . I tried adding ro.battery_light=false, but that didn't work for me.
I'm still not getting a flashing LED on SMS messages. Do I need to download a suitable app to get that working again?
Quick question:
I'm on CM7.2 Quarx (i've been playing around with different nightlies since flashing cm7.1 stable) and want to try wiui.
Can i just flash the zip over my current cm7 the same way in recovery? or do i need a fresh install (clear system data, etc.)
thanks,
I'm on wiui 3.1.27, and I have some issues, like rparrygbr
I tried to post a private message to Wajk on a hungarian forum, but I haven't got any replay for it.
So:
1. Play store will start "stop unexpectedly" when the "Applications" page (note the message that something is updated when pressing on, it flies in the play).
Anno (probably the 2.9.x version) FR is made to recover because the cache (Dalvik too) urinates, Play wipe data did not help.
2. Wifi Tether randomly throws himself at intervals, when I turn on 'error' on down there - this time a cache (Dalvik too) excretion solve the problem, at least for the next connection.
3. WiFi random intervals, you can not connect, turn it on, and then it immediately switches - this place used to be a reboot
4. repeatedly used to something being that wifi - 3G switching, if you lose the wifi signal and not turn it off, you can not form a connection to the mobile web, usually have to restart the phone (if you look at the mobile network settings, such as not saving the selected value, for example. "3G preferred") - there is no indication in one of the spots, even though I set.
Many thanks for help me
I've installed the 3.1.27 (GB Stable) last night and the first issue I've encountered was related to WiFi.
Every time I connect to WiFi with me cellphone, it instanty drops the connection with my router, making any other devices (notebooks, tablets etc) don't have access to internet too. So I have to reboot my router (TL-WR441ND) to have access again, but once I connect my phone... it's all the same thing over and over again.
Had the same problem with MS2Ginger 5.0a, so I switched to MIUI 3.1.27 hoping that won't happen.
There is any solution for it?

setting > Connections > Wifi > Advance > Keep wifi on during sleep > set it to "Always"
turn off power saving (if u enabled it)
and also unckeck avoid weak signal
if problem remains it might be a software problem and u should flash another stock rom
:good:
The another problem .. when the network switch from 3g to 4 g the download stopped :/ .. so i should make it WCDMA only to countinue the download !! :/

Before buying Lg g2 i had this problem on my nexus 4,whenever my g2 is connected to my home wifi network and my screen is off , i recieve push notifications with a delay ,sometimes 2 minutes ..somtimes 10 minutes ..so it varies , as soon as i press the power button to switch the screen on , all my whatsapp notifications which were stacked up, arrive in one go , i have this problem only on wifi , on 3g it works flawlessly ,there is no such delay
I have this problem on problem on my stock 4.2.2 rom

In your Advanced Wi-Fi Settings, is "Keep W-Fi on during sleep" set to Always? (You get there from the Wi-Fi screen, click the Menu Button and select Advanced Wi-Fi).
Not sure if this will help because of your other symptoms but it's somewhere to start.
Edit: DD's solution sounds more to the point, but requires root.

I have the same problem.
I receive notifications from 2 minutes up to 30 minutes later.
When Im charging my phone, notifications are not delayed at all, not even for one second
I use nexus 4 kitkat, not rooted, stock
I have turned off Wifi Optimization and now notifications arrive usually with 30 seconds delay which is OK for me, but the battery now drains faster

Push is blazing fast on my G2. I do have wi-fi optimizer enabled as well as wi-fi enabled in sleep mode.
Is turn wifi off during sleep enabled? I thought it kicked over to 4G if so.
I am on stock G2, unrooted. I experience this using 4G. On WiFi, I haven't noticed it yet.
Hi,
I am using a SM-N910C (XSG). Since late I have been facing an issue. The phone is connected on WiFi and left on sleep/idle for around 10 mins, I stop receiving push notifications from my apps including Gmail, Whatsapp, Viber etc.. I wake the phone up and suddenly receive all the notifications at once. This doesnt happen while on mobile data. I dont know whether the problem is with my phone or with the WiFi router. Tried with my friends Nexus 5 and another HTC One E8. But they seem to be working fine. Has anyone faced this issue? Any solution?
i have been having the same issue!! is your phone rooted?

What devices do you guys use and what version of Android does it run????? Could it be a software or device issue???
It sounds like the new google play services acting up. Try removing the update in the application setting.

I had formatted my phone thinking that could help...but no luck....How could play services effect this???
Have exactly the same problem. Not sure why though......
Most of the application push notification rely on Google Cloud Messaging which lies within the Google Play Services
Anyone found a solution? I have un-installed update, downloaded previous version of Google Play Services but still no luck.
OK. The solution is to go to WIFI settings ---> Advanced ---> "Keep Wifi During Sleep" set to "Always"

Has this fixed your issue? But isnt it set to ALWAYS by default? at least mine has been but still no luck.... just can figure out what is causing the problem
Did you try the push notification fix from Google play store? Some network does not maintain a good constant connection with the phone. The apps try to fix by shortening the time between heart beat that the phone send to the server.

Yep tried that as well....But no luck.....I tried something else today.... I connected another WiFi router to the main one and connected to its WiFi.....not facing an issue at that time..... I dont know what to point at, my phone or the router.....
hello from egypt i have just discovered the solution of the problem because i had it too so sure you should keep the auto aync is on and the mobile data is not restricted and the previous two settings not the real problem the problem is in the power saving mode the is an option at the end of power saving settings that will reduce the power by never showing the notifications untill you open the apps so turn it off......
Is IPv6 enabled on your network? Samsung has an IPv6 issue, partly resolved in 6.0.1, causing issues for some apps using push. Pre 6, Samsung used to ignore ICMPv6 during sleep, causing the default router to time out after 200 seconds with the screen off.

I recently upgraded 24.107-52-5 firmware (October '16 security patch) and flashed XD rom based on it and have this problem since then - whenever I use a media player (be it mp3 player, OGyoutube or anything else) and lock the screen there is no prompt to enter PIN/Password when I turn the screen back on. It just works as "swipe to unlock" like no protection was in use and I'm wondering if this is a new feature that came with the latest update or a bug or there's something wrong with my rom. Can someone please check on their phone with stock 6.0.1 firmware (24.107-52-5 version) if they experience the same? Thanks
So, at first I thought the problem was with media players, but it seems it's wi-fi related. Whenever I'm connected to my home's wifi the phone will stay unlocked after I turn the screen off. The lockscreen will display unlocked padlock icon at the bottom and I have to tap and hold it to manually lock the phone. This is normal behaviour when you have Smart Lock enabled but I haven't - it's not even available in XD rom I'm currently using, so it seems like it's a bug and I'm wondering if it's XD rom specific or 24.107-52-5 firmware specific (I didn't have this problem in previous version). The steps to reproduce it are as follows:
1. Set up PIN/password/pattern lockscreen protection (don't use Smart Lock)
2. connect to wifi at home (it doesn't work with public networks)
3. Turn the screen off
4. See if the padlock icon on your lockscreen is unlocked
Can someone with European XT1562 24.107.52-5 firmware check this out? Thanks

I am using same version as you, but from Gtr Craft. I haven't experienced any bug include yours. Try version from HERE.
I'm using your XD ROM version, minimale_ldz, and I don't have this problem. Locking and Unlocking just works in the normal way.
Regarding Smart Lock ... It's interesting, because I remember being asked whether I wanted to enable that feature or not (I think after a successfull Bluetooth Pairing). But I rejected it.
