pinch to zoom videos - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
On iOS you can "pinch-to-zoom" embedded videos to full-screen (only the video-player goes full-screen - not the website itself)
Is it possible to do this with android too?

Animated GIF, zoom option?

I've been saving alot of animated GIFs and the built in photo album thing plays them just fine, but there's absolutely no way to zoom in and see what's going on. Is there an alternative to the built in photo viewer that will do stuff like zoom?
Bump.
Anyone have any ideas, like another program that will work?
Have you tried to open them in a mobile browser like Opera, Skyfire or PIE and use the built in zoom function?
that is one option, but there'd be no way to do slideshows or another quick transition between them.

Is there a way to zoom/pinch to zoom on videos?

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if there are ways to pinch to zoom on videos in players such as Vplayer or Rockplayer? I'm not talking about the default zoom functions in the player itself.. but something more customizeable?
not that i know of
but the built in zoomfunction of rockplayer is good enough i'd say (its the most left icon case u wonder where to look)

[Q] Photo and Video App Suggestions

Hello xda. I'm looking for a photo application that is similar to the photo board app that can be found for ipad. Its a multi touch table format photo viewer with resizing and cool effects. Also I'm looking for a video player that supports .avi format videos. I know there are lots, but not all work very good. Arc media doesn't with very well and vplayer is buggy. Thanks!
P.s. any other graphically cool apps that use multitouch to take advantage of the large screen? (Multi pane web browsing?)

[Q] Method to make browser mimic iphone and how it handles videos?

Is there any way to make the browser or phone change how it handles videos.Like in its own standalone player. For example an embedded video on a website will play natively on the website on the note 3 but in iphone it will open an app to play it.
Is there any way to make the browser on android open an app when playing embedded video instead of having to struggle with the tiny little buttons from the video player. Its just a hassle having to re-size or hit the full screen button every time and having the video restart playing all over again.
What I'm thinking in my head is when opening a video link or embedded video have android open a video player app every time instead of playing natively in the browser. Youtube uses the app sometimes but many times it just plays in the mobile website of youtube which sucks too.

Google Movies/Films "Stretch to Screen" / Fullscreen Video Player?

Right of the bat, I'm using an S8+ and so far I didn't had any issues with (true) fullscreen video Playback with for example YouTube (Youtube Advanced enabled Stretching to Fullscreen) or FireFox etc...
True fullscreen = No Blackbars. What's the point of watching a Video on a bigger screen like the S8+ when literally the space you paid more money for is unused/filled with black bars..... Yea good job.
Now here's the issue, Google Play Movies/Films doesn't have that simple & vital option. Leaving me with disgusting black bars that make the experience unacceptable.
Is there ANY way to make the video stretch to the screen just as YouTube Advanced stretches the video to the screen size?
