Xperia play for parts - Xperia Play General

I have an Xperia Play, up for grabs for parts as the slide flex cable isnt working.
Everything else works perfectly.
If anyone's interested to buy the whole device and then strip it down, or for individual parts, Please reply.

And you think thats ok? Because xda isn't a marketplace.
You should better put it on ebay.

Thread Closed, please don't try to sell any device on XDA unless you go through the marketplace. Check marketplace rules here.

T-Mobile Pulse, will it get XDA ROM threatment?

I am sorry as I searched the forum for this and actually found 1 hit, but it seems that thread is removed.
So I am thinking about getting the cheap T-Mobile Pulse as second device to try some Android and experiment. As it is Android it should be easy to tweak and give it ROM threatment.
But I don't know how it works here. I know my blackstone gets good attention, but all HTC phones get that over here.
So I was wondering because of the different manufacturer Huawei, will the Pulse get a seperate forum as well and would we see ROM development there, or is this device just to small?
I guess otherwise it would be smarter to wait for a bigger device, which is accessable for a wider audience.
No it wont XDA Developers is purely for HTC Devices.
Please in future post in correct sub forum.

Handset ideas for from our Vibrant Users

I created a thread in the general general area that I would like you guys to go and read. The idea came to me as we are getting tired of phones not being ours. If I buy a phone for full price, I want the phone to be mine. So if you have any ideas or comments to add to the other thread please do so. I'm curious what the interest would be. If we can get enough voices heard, we may be able to get a few engineers, programmers, developers, etc together to create an "XDA standard" for hand sets. Would it not be neat if we could buy the parts separate and install the pieces we want ourselves? Please leave your comments on the linked thread.

I've thought about this before, kinda like building your own computer right?
Maybe the company that brought us the Red one camera will come out with a Red phone as well

free accessories for the bootloader crackers

so this question is mainly directed at bin4ry, zdzihu, jerplea maxifron, guroh etc but i was wondering whether they would like some x10 screen protectors, mini usb cables, a back cover protector or a battery charger with 2 batteries? I had to return my x10 as it had the mini usb problem and i decided to get a HD2 so i could test out some wp7 stuff. Apologises for making this a thread but i know there pm boxes are full and i wanted the message to get to them and i didnt want to miss out any of the bootloader devs.
I think a donation IS enough.
just thought this would be better than selling them and im not able to give any more donations due to lack of money
I think it is a pretty cool idea. Kudos for you man.
Why posting here?. Thread moved to general.

17 May 2011 - HD2 for Sale (Spares or Repair)

Hey forum folks, I'm selling my HD2
]
Sadly, I dropped my HD2 and the screen went *smash!* although, it all still worked. Anyway, this blighted me so I tried to replace the screen with a brand new digitizer/screen replacement combo but I have failed. Despite very carefully taking it all apart and putting it all back together (as per the HTC guides on youtube) I've failed to do a good enough job and the screen now believes I am pressing it when I am not. Anyway, I believe this can be fixed but I don't have the know how or the funds to do it as I am going travelling in a fortnight.
I have therefore taken the v.diff decision to flog my phone so that someone can fix it or use it for spares. As far as I can tell everything is working except for the volume buttons. I think the problem with the volume buttons is that the orange sticker thing might have fallen off and I don't know where to get these replaced?
Anyway, the screen is BRAND NEW; as is the digitizer. The GPS module, battery and camera all work fine so it's an ace little phone that could be easily stripped for spares. I'm giving you guys the chance to get in on the bidding and if you've got any questions I'll answer them right here! So get bidding - oh and the auction opens at 0.99p!!!
I should also add that I don't think this contravenes the forum rules but if it does I beg and plead and grovel in a very humble manner - I only mention it because I know how important these rules are and I know how upset the moderators get with idiots and I am scared I may have stumbled into that category with this posting.
I think you're ok, just post this in the Marketplace next time, maybe a mod can move it for you.
Hi Guys and Gals,
Sorry to bother you all, but just wanted to say that I have been forced to relist my old HD2 after the last auction was won by a massive timewaster who didn't pay up and who wouldn't respond to questions as to the delay.
Anyway, I've relisted the device on e-bay, and you can find it at e-bay.co.uk and the item is ******. I hope that this time someone who actually wants it might win!
Cheers
We have a Marketplace for selling things. And we don't alllow ebay links, as per the forum RULES.

Brand New Xperia Z

Hello everyone,
First of, i did somewhat read the forum rules.. but i couldn't find a specific part that explained if what i'm about to do is the correct way.
I myself have the Xperia Z since februari this year and i'm quite satisfied with the phone.
Yesterday i sort of 'won' the exact same phone, we had a sony incentive wich allowed you to win a certain sony phone/accessory. Since i'm already an owner of the phone i'm willing to sell this one quite cheap.
Like the title of the thread shows, the phone is brand new and unused.
I know XDA has a lot of international users, but i live in the Netherlands.
Mod Edit: XDA is not the place for selling
For the administrators, if this was placed at the wrong place please notify me and i will (if you can't/won't) move it to the right place.
Grtz. Jitse
hope you find a buyer soon.

You probably missed it, but as per rule number 7, offering devices for sale is not allowed on XDA any more. Try eBay or your local equivalent of Craigslist etc.
