Flash back to stock ?! - Galaxy S I9000 General

Hi guys i've been running Cyanogen mod 9 for ages and loved it but i need to sell the phone now and want to flash the phone back to stock.
i've loked about but cant see how to do it ?
any guides out there ?!
cheers dom

If you have a windows PC ... Use Odin ... files can be downloaded www.sammobile.com

Yeah. Use Odin flash back gingerbread with re partitioning checked. I think cm10 has a different partition system. Do check and read before you flash back.

YES if you follow the instructions to root with CWM in the dev section Chainfires post and follow instructions for custom rom .

one is with XWKDD_insecure.tar
the other one with CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEU_KE7-v4.0-CWM4

Galaxy note DDLA5 observations n way to Root it

I ve installed ddla5 yesterday with mobile odin pro yesterday with permenent root.No probs at all. The major differance i observed is the loudness of sound has increased a bit while playing movies or music or voice calls i felt the difference.rest is the same.
For those who want to root their phones for the first time i suggest try the cason hongkong stock Rom through odin.coz it wont give u yellow triangle.it has no built in cwm but it has superuser. Then install mobile odin pro from the Market.[mod edit - removal of warez suggestion] Then install cf root kk n u can install what ever rom.
I tried all the stock n custom roms.i liked rocket rom 22 xxla6 then added ics theme 1.61 to it,which is looking n working like magic.i m juz lovin it.
You can also try kingdroid which is equally good.
I m giving a try for ddla5. If not for the minor increase inthe sound quality i would prefer rocket 22 rom.
Now that dr.ketan has provided the indian modem i ll go back to my fav rom n flash the indian modem. Big thanks to dr.ketan for the modem

DDLA5 is nonwipe version, so you wont lose data. but it is always good to have backup of your data, in case of anything happen worse.
If you update using Mobile Odin - select 'everroot' (including all four sub field) enable
If you using CWM - select to 'Keep CF Root' when ask
To keep your Root Intact.
I got DLA5 via OTA from Samsung, official update, now i dont know how to simply root it? Not talking about installing CWM yet, but i just want to Root DLA5. Using your DooMLord version dint help, ketan.. could you please help me.
DDLA5 is not directly rootable
Just downgrade it first to get Root.
Download my guide from last link on my signature n follow it with selectimg I have non rootable ROM

Soft bricked and clueless please someone!

Hey i've soft bricked my n7000..
basically i just need to know what exactly to do now, kernels etc
ideally id like to be running Midnote 3.3
anyone kind enough to reply with help would be seriously appreciated!
Maybe if you gave some more information on what how when and why ?
Nobody can help you on a 'hey i lost my car can someone tell me where on this planet i parked this morning?'
Agree on above poster. We need to know what rom uou were flashing from, by what method, and the issue now.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Fair enough was thinking there was a straight forward fix, as in just flash this and do this etc..
i was running Midnote 2.1, i was on LP1 and tried to flash Midnote 3.3 using CWM.. it wasn't flashing as i couldn't see the .zip rom at all..
i then done a few factory wipes and basically just wiped the davlik and cache and tried any options in CWM
The issue now is that when i boot im stuck at the samsung splash screen..
I can boot into recovery and into cwm..
And what exactly happends now ?
dead black screen ?
Samsung logo blocked ?
PC odin doesn't connect ?
Can you enter CWM recovery ?
Can you enter boot recovery ?
I think you better try and flash a safe GB kernel and rom first
Then do a full wipe, then flash whatever you like.
You can best flash through PC odin for the stock GB

Stuck at Samsung logo
Can enter CWM and recovery, odin works as far as i can tell
I would suggest trying to flash a stock gb rom via pc odin. If you get stuck at the factory.fs stage you may well be superbricked because of the cwm recoveries and wipes on lpy.
There are a few threads on sorting out a problematic emmc section. But we'll get to that afyer youve tried this.

Thank you, I don't mean to be an effort but you hardly know where I can get a safe GB kernel and rom? i just want to be sure as im getting kind of worried now
Check out dr ketans thread in the stickies of d3velopment section. Theres loaf of info there. Its pretty straight forward if you flash initially to an older rom for your region. Take a look itll make sense promise.

Lads i seriously appreciate this.. if i get my note back up n running i'll be delighted!
so if when i flash this stock gb rom using Odin i don't need a kernel at all right?
again these must be frustrating questions but your really helping me out here

No, you just place the .tar file in Odin in the PDA section.

nope you dont need a kernel when flashing stock GB rom
but 1st keep ur fingers crossed and pray that you get through the ODIN installation method
copy the GB rom file in ODIN folder and open ODIN and click on PDA and select the downloaded GB ROM file and press START
You legends! the stock gb rom worked perfect...
now comes the slightly trickier part.. loading the Midnote 3.3 rom
anyone using this rom? 2.1 was great!
whats the safest way to flash this, kernel wise etc?
thanks again lads
also, now that im back on the stock gb rom.. do i need to root again????
i tried getting into cwm and it brought me into android recovery mode ( still had install zip from sd option)

Yes, you will need to root it if you didn't flash a GB pre-rooted ROM.
And I think the CWM.zip file is on drketan's thread.
Guys im running midnote rom fine BUT it keeps vibrating every 5-8 seconds........................
EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING.. any ideas!???

HELP!, Is it possible to install jellyblast from ODIN?

HI ALL. in need of some help here i have installed the latest jellyblast and older jellyblast ROMS and installed perfectly it looks grate it feels grate and I love it BUT! i was not able to make calls send text messages or even brows the net and i have been wondering if its possible to Flash this ROM from ODIN ? to see if that would make a difference i have searched everywhere and cant seem to find such a ROM that exists to use with ODIN apart from original stock ROMS. please help !! NO....
Its not possible to flash custom roms via ODIN. Only stock roms are flashed through ODIN. The rest are done through either stock or CWM Recovery .
We can flash custom roms using odin too. Like the repencis!!

Yeah u can convert it to odin pack using splitfus2 tool by docky73

if the prob is call and txt..
try to flash the jellyblastv3.. then if its ok.. flash the csc latest firmware of your country via odin.. note: 'csc' only,. if its ok reboot.. and try to make call or txt..

Your problem is not going to be solved if you flash custom rom from Odin . So stop doing that..
Flash latest firmware for your region from doky73 thread... search for it in dev section...
then install it in Odin.. then install custom rooms.. your problem should be solved..

I have two phones one of them is still on the original firmware the other is on a custom rom. I would like to get the custom rom phone back onto stock but I can't find it in dorky's thread for New Zealand so I was wondering if I can do a backup of the rom that's on stock
Make a nandroid backup in sgy with stock rom and restore that nandroid backup in your sgy with custom rom… thats what I think

Download CWM and perform a backup from your stock rom running phone using CWM..
after backup, remove sd card and put it in custom rom running phone..
Then go to CWM and restore this backup...
hit thanks.. if it worked

Thanks everyone but dorky supplied me with the correct rom which I flashed via Odin
