I can't remember which thread, but if you search around, I know there is someone who posted a nandroid backup of the Rogers ROM in a wiped state.
EDIT: I think the first link here is it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=534464

oh dear think you need more reading on flashing roms if your asking what is nandroid
Nandroid is a program that is used via recovery mode to back up your entire NAND Flash (i.e., ROM).
"nandroid" --> NAND + Android = nandroid
Maybe this will help? Read the comments following instructions:

You need to flash the HTC file mentioned in cyan's wiki from the HTC website.
Okay, for months now, ive gone through 2 phones and done more bricking then flashing I have done lots and lots of reserach and am getting to the point where i just want to stay stock. Im rooted, and every time i try to flash clockwork through odin i either get a fail, or if i keep trying sometimes it goes through and says pass but it gets stuck on a force start loop and i cant do anything in recovery menu...so i end up fash stock files for telus to return the phone to its new state. I really want to get clockwork on here and try some roms. If anyone could help it would be awesome.
Thanks, Mike.
Really? .... no one out there with telus fascnate that has clockwork.. plz help guys I really wanna run some custom roms

What version of clockwork recovery are you trying to flash with odin?
From what I can tell you should be using the one from the vibrant?
good day.
Okay thank you. I'm at work right now and I will try tonight
Sent from my SGH-T959D using Tapatalk
On 2.1 I flashed the Vibrant version (using ROM Manager)
From I have read, with the 2.2 update installed you can't flash it (yet).

the last recovery 3.0.2.4 works with any backup i have tested myself and if you have any problem try restore in parts in advance restore. If you **** up with the recovery means you have flash it wrong but honestly there is not way to **** that up but if you want t be carefull then run
fastboot erase recovery
... and then
fastboot flash recovery recovery_xxxxxxxx
if something goes wrong wich i doubt it just reflash recovery partition .
Cheers!
Thank you very much both of you two<3
could anyone give me the link they used so i'm sure i do it right xD?
i put the images in c:/android right? and then i run fastboot and use the commands as i'm used too right? =3

Use my guide but with an appropriate firmware from samfirmware.
Not a hell lot you can do about the download speed. I suspect it might have something to do with hotfile - I get incredibly ****ty speed from hotfile, but not from any other file sharing service.
There should be a few threads lying around in the general section about stock roms. Try downloading from there instead of ****ty hotfile.

Before you flash anything you gotta make sure you have 2 backup plans. One is, of course, the nandroid backup. The other is having a stock firmware file you can flash with Odin in case everything goes to hell.
In my case, I have a JPU stock firmware stored on my home computer and on my work laptop. Every time I screw up so badly everything is FUBAR I go back to JPU and works like a charm.
Ah also, along with the JPU I have a CF-Root flashable file for JPU (just needs to be Froyo specific, not firmware release specific) so I can have root.
That's the only advice that hasn't been given to you already.
In reality, the Galaxy S is pretty hard to really brick. The bootloader may get corrupted but there's almost always a way out.
ok thanks guys +1
i will flash my phone with 2.3 and when I'am bored with it i'll flash it with some custom rom
