[Q] I this safe or is the kernel won't work?

I installed Merruks Kernel pre Final 2.0 via CWM (mai77) but after that all my downloaded apps from playstore got fc's. So i decided to install ultimate sonic rom v5 with repencis kernel (as what i saw on their thread) but it just stuck on the splash screen. So i restored back to creeds rom 3.2 then i looked at the kernel version in settings i saw [email protected] #36 not merruks kernel.
Ill hit your thanks if you helped me and please explain ) thanks

Lol merruk kernel are have an issue installing a rom better go back to stock rom first before flashing my rom
Edit:my rom contain repencis kernel soo u have it when u restore back ur nandroid backup
Hope u used my rom

Hi, thanks for the feedback, so I can't install your rom if I won't go back first to stock rom? Or I can now install your rom because Merruks Kernel is gone and repencis' kernel is now installed?

Heh, will try it. I'll let you know if it turns out good. oh, btw. Do you know how to move the clock in the status bar to the right? Just like a real ics status bar. Because my clock is on the center which is annoying and gets overlapped by notifications and icons of wifi, bluetooth, etc when activated.

If you are good with compiling/decompiling apks and editing xmls ,you can do it yourself.

I did make one a few weeks ago but i think its not compatible cause the it was fir evo-x not ussrv5, they both have different framework

Will i be able to play gta 3 after flashing this kernel and after flashing merruk kernel will my mobile be formatted??

First of all your mobile won't be formatted
Which version of the kernel ?
I think you can play GTA 3 on y using only chainfire 3D

No data will be formatted.
And your gta3's gaming experience may be enhanced as merruk kernel has some features when it comes to games (2.0 version).

Yup it will give you boost performance but I think it isn't so battery friendly

Merruk 2.0 is stable version. It don't have some big bugs. & I didn't faced any problem with it..

lol.. the kernels never get mixed up its just that you are on merruk's kernels and repencis v3.5 ROM and its completely fine Rom and kernels are two different things.

They never mix, but still if you think so reflash your stock and then install the preferred one.

[HELP] Official ICS or JB for Galaxy Y

Hi,
I wanna ask that can our phone (Samsung Galaxy Y) support ICS or JB. If yes, then i'll make a petition for an official OS upgrade to Samsung.

I want it too, but Samsung won't do that because the update will be too large for SGY (the /system partition is only around 300mb).
However @percy_g2 is working on CM10 (JB 4.1.2) for SGY.

there's no official jellybean for galaxy y. as luqman said, the /system partition is too less to install. however you can try another jellybean ROMs such as evo-x4 or creed's rom

JB is not supported on our galaxy y but you can use different kinds of roms if you're rooted i am using Nemesis 2.7 hybris it is a update from jellyblast rom.... it gives me the whole android 4.2.2 feature..... if you are getting low internal storage space because of new system apps partition your sd card...

the android version can be changed to anything. see this thread
also not only jellyblast but you can have jb like look and features in other roms as well, such as evo-x3/x4 and creeds v4 etc.

I just find this rom great for my sgy...

Thank you all.........i've tried custom ROMS.....Nemesis Phoenix and Nemesis Titanium........but my phone became slow and laggy......it even rebooted unnecassarily......(please ignore my spelling and english )

you may wait until the developers develop cm9, which looks unpractical though

Since your rooted you can set min clock frequency 832mhz to speed up your phone use no frills cpu control app also use cfq as i/o scheduler ...
