Amazon free app of the day.

Not specifically xperia related, but I thought the community here might be interested.
Amazon's free app of the day (9/29/2011) is Symphony of Eternity. It's an RPG in the style of 16 bit greats like Final Fantasy VI. I played a few minutes of it, and it seemed pretty cool.

It is kinda Xperia related too, since you can use the Xperia PLAY controls for some of it's maneuvering.

You have to get it through the amazon app store, which you can get from Amazon.com.

I bought it. It's the finest RPG you're going to find in the Xperia Play, which is not saying much.

That's far, far from the truth IMO. Eternity isn't even the finest released by kemco since Eve of the Genesis was released. Then there's eternal legacy which has been extremely ambitious and rewarding, then an absolute deluge of quality action rpgs from gamevil. Gailardia brings some classic dragon quest style gaming in the mix, and there's likely even more I could grab from my list when I'm on the full version of this site.
Point is, Xperia PLAY has quite a nice arrangement of RPGs for being as new as it is.

Amazon App Store free app of the day is great.
I've got so many useful apps, paid games and Xplay optimised games for free from it.

Amazon aotd needs a separate voting system to oust the sh*tty apps speedily.

I wish they didn't limit the offer to only US. Anyone knows how to use it from Europe please?

Android 10 Billion App Promo ($0.10 apps ahead) Update 12/9

Google is selling 10 different apps each day for $0.10 each for the next 10 days. The banner should show up in your market at the top of the home page. Ive heard if you have troubles seeing the banner you can clear the market cache. You can also click the link below and it takes you to the android market where you can purchase and install apps onto your phone as well.

I bought it today and I think it sucks. I just cant leave swype. Its too good.
But I did buy Minecraft. If you have friends that will link up with you (works with iphone) over wifi then its an insanely fun game. Even alone its a good time waster and just a fun way to be creative. Glad that I waited to buy it though because the regular price is 7$. Deal win.
Edit: I can only pray for titanium backup to show on this list

I like swype also, but I like how swift key predicts words. There are a few things I need to get used to with it, but overall I think I go faster on it. Also I hate how swype picks up incorrect spellings and continues to throw those out as what you wanted to say.

Hopes for productivity apps like officesuite products or high end games. And I can't run asphalt 6 on my phone...

Android Market celebrates 10 Billion app downloads. To celebrate, Google will sell selected apps for 10 CENTS over the next 10 days. Selection of apps will change daily.

Unfortunately Asphalt 6 HD can't be downloaded for 10cents on the transformer
I ended up buying heaps of those 10 for my phone and transformer. Would love to have bought Asphalt though.

Not sure what market you went to, but large announcement on home page announcing this.

The only app I would want on 10 cent promo is Diceplayer but doubt it will be on the list.

The funny thing is, I got most of these apps free from the Amazon "free app of the day" specials. LOL Minecraft was a great deal.

Amazon deals were US-only.
This is global. I just bought a crap-load of apps and games for 10p (well 7), more shopping for 10p stuff tomorrow...
It's all very decent stuff too, no crap or old stuff here.

Sorry, about a billion of them were mine.

I'm in Canada. There are ways of getting Amazon to work anywhere, you just have to look. I'm glad Google is doing this. It helps to ignight more passion for the devices we use.

Same here! Figured, maybe one day... Maybe. Picked up nearly all of them, though I couldn't get asphalt 6. Will keep checking daily, as I do Amazon. Was just wondering earlier today if the market would ever do what Amazon is doing and, well. Close. It ain't free, but still!

Yes, I got those two plus the sketchpad thing, just because I have no idea how to play minecraft though, don't you have to have a server or something? I'll have to read up on it.

Im currently watching movies in it, the screen is gorgeous.
Im not rooted and have no plans at all since I dont want to void my warranty.

Not as easy as you might think! While it's a great device for lots of things, they are very poor at actual calls - you know, their primary reason for existence!
I had to get rid of mine, could not take calls at my desk (Could hear incoming, but outgoing voice was distorted/broken up). Got a Motorola, and can sit in the same place and have a normal conversation.

Try playing Asphalt 6 its free on Samsung App and ShadowGun its awesome too

When you start a thread like you are bored with your Galaxy S2 you cant really expect people to take you seriously mate especially on the SGSII forums, in the time since ive had my phone ive never been bored quite the opposite actually.
There are many HD games for the SGSII, lots of games in the market, as many apps as the Apple app store and much more for free too just search.
Enjoy your phone.

People say the Android market is not up to scratch but I find it adequate, with the recent 10 billion apps promotion and the free apps on Samsung Apps it's getting decent.
Loads of free apps compared to iOS.
It's actually getting better day by day compared to say this time last year!
As for the phone, best phone still available nothing beats it at the moment and wont until next year.
Enjoy it, grab some apps and start experimenting

- You can mod your phone in any conceiveable way
- Get many good and free games via Samsung App
- Play any audio and video format
- Surf the internet with flash (i.e. video streams, browser games...)
