I agree. I was pleasantly surprised by both the performance of the game, and the fact that although it may be called "bloatware", in reality it adds minimal to internal storage (most of the data is stored on SD which I don't mind).
I picked it up a few months ago, its pretty bomb. Modern Combat: Sandstorm is absolutely AWESOME too.

Ok so Adam did you install 3.70? Are you rooted? If so did you get your old official copy of NOVA working? Mine won't it just glitches and hangs?
Any answers would be awesome as I can't play NOVA anymore without REBUYING it BOOOO

Yeah gamelofts process of selling is horrible. They need to join the android market. Especially with all the talk on the blogs about them ripping people off. I have been using a titanium restore so I've been ok playing NOVA. I think they right now only offer 90 days that you can redownload aka update. Which is retarded. The games are great but gameloft needs to rethink their android business model quick

You don't have to worry about what Sprint did to our EVOs when it comes to NOVA as you arent using even a loose version of the RUU... ahhh well...
As for rethinking their business model I hear you, it's way to hard to get support or help with these issues from them. Not to mention even finding the games is so backwards its almost in opposite land...

Yeah. I wanna say android central (maybe phandroid....cant remember) ran an article today on them charging people numerous times, etc. If they wanna be a serious player why arent they on the market? As easy as it should be, gameloft comes off as shady. And yeah, their stuff is a pain to buy, download, and install. You would think they would wanna cure that issue. Joining the market would do that and alleviate everyones fears of being scammed.

you can actually get modern combat sandstorm for free at getjar.com! it is a fun game and was made free there because of what adam said.

oh darn it, sorry for getting your hopes up. the article was misleading and so was the description. my bad
I don't think they charge you if you activate the demo copy after having already bought it. I got NOVA back in late july, and just activated the demo. It said purchase, but didn't go through the normal process, so I don't think I paid for it. I'll try to post back here in a month when I get my next bill to confirm, but I'm pretty sure that if its the device that you already activated on, it should be free to activate it. It definitely plays better now that its integrated.
I love all the Gameloft games except for Asphalt 5. Its not a really good racing game. Its ok, but not well optimized for Android. I just got Need for Speed Shift when it came out on the Market on the 16th. So far, its awesome! Really snappy great graphics, and really good racing experience.
Can you use wiimote with these games?
On cm 6 of course. I know it doesn't work on sense.

Well if you guys remember I had a thread saying I had a bunch of apps.
Well I have a problem.
I have on Titanium 309 user apps backed up
I hate how it takes like an hour to restore.
Okay here's my problem I use like 1/10 of them and that's it. All the others are apps that are games that I keep because I like showing off my phone and having a bunch of apps and such to my friends and don't want them to say I have a boring phone. The other reason is because I "think they will be necessary at one point" but that point hasn't come. For example I have shazam pro and haven't used it.
I have asphalt 5 and my friend is the only one that uses it.
Almost all my friends have android phones and while most of them have like 2 games compared to like the 150 I have they are happy and don't care. I do?
I would love to use the adwex vertical new drawer but my friends will say "its so gay it looks like an iphone" so I switched to launcherpro.
Its almost like I have all those things to please everyone else but im not pleased with that
So should I delete all my backups and just download apps I use and not care if I don't have cool games and things? Since I don't use them?

Yes exactly maybe its because I like the attention my phone gets and I love to show off the graphics chip but I don't even use any of them.

If you have room stay with them. I myself have delete the game(s) as soon as im finished with it. On the other hand when you get bored and want those games back so stay up them. try to block those negative thoughts your friends gives you. Their legit buyes so even with one game their happy unlike us.

I've deleted all my backed up apps and now have 80 user apps, and i still don't use about 20 of them, but those are games and i need them sooner or later at boredom. I will never go above 100 user apps. that is a promise to my self, and i don't wanna hurt my phone lol.

We should start an "appaholic" support group. I have had this problem for over 2 yrs now. The nice thing about my G1 towards the end was I couldn't install too many apps even with app2sd it would run out of space around 75 or so. Now I clean my phone every 6 weeks and I keep it that way for about a week. But then I fall off the wagon again. I just can't stop so I guess I'll just keep cleaning and reloading because new apps keep coming out and I just gotta have em.
Its comforting to know I am not alone......

OP, once you have that crap off your phone, ADW EX setup properly and a handful of really good apps... your phone will both look better and run so much better.
If you need some docks/icons there is a good thread in the android theme section (not the vibrant section). I use the Vertical New app drawer and random transitions. Beautiful.

Unfortunately Asphalt 6 HD can't be downloaded for 10cents on the transformer
I ended up buying heaps of those 10 for my phone and transformer. Would love to have bought Asphalt though.

Not sure what market you went to, but large announcement on home page announcing this.
The only app I would want on 10 cent promo is Diceplayer but doubt it will be on the list.
The funny thing is, I got most of these apps free from the Amazon "free app of the day" specials. LOL Minecraft was a great deal.

I'm in Canada. There are ways of getting Amazon to work anywhere, you just have to look. I'm glad Google is doing this. It helps to ignight more passion for the devices we use.

Not as easy as you might think! While it's a great device for lots of things, they are very poor at actual calls - you know, their primary reason for existence!
I had to get rid of mine, could not take calls at my desk (Could hear incoming, but outgoing voice was distorted/broken up). Got a Motorola, and can sit in the same place and have a normal conversation.
Try playing Asphalt 6 its free on Samsung App and ShadowGun its awesome too

When you start a thread like you are bored with your Galaxy S2 you cant really expect people to take you seriously mate especially on the SGSII forums, in the time since ive had my phone ive never been bored quite the opposite actually.
There are many HD games for the SGSII, lots of games in the market, as many apps as the Apple app store and much more for free too just search.
Enjoy your phone.

People say the Android market is not up to scratch but I find it adequate, with the recent 10 billion apps promotion and the free apps on Samsung Apps it's getting decent.
Loads of free apps compared to iOS.
It's actually getting better day by day compared to say this time last year!
As for the phone, best phone still available nothing beats it at the moment and wont until next year.
Enjoy it, grab some apps and start experimenting

EDIT: looks like that might be it for the apps. They do have a sale on movies and books and whatnot, too, but the prices aren't that low. It's stuff like "25 books for XXX dollars each" and "25 movies for XXX dollars each". I'm still getting a few of the apps, though.
EDIT 2: Already had Draw Something, but I just bought Asphalt 7, the office suite, and Angry Birds Space.
I am not very impressed by this app selection. Does anybody know why those books that they have are/were banned?

My last bump was because they changed the selection of apps on sale. They just changed them again, so anyone that looked before should check it out again. There are some pretty good ones - Mass Effect: Infiltrator, Amazing Alex, HD Widgets, PicSay Pro - all for a quarter each.
