And suddenly my rooted Tab 2 stopped working (running clockworkmod10). It won't start at all. Sometime, wile plugged in to the power grid, the galaxy tab 2 logo pops up, but it that's it. I am not able to acces recoverymod..
Now what??? Any tips?
Nothing as i know called cwm 10, it is either 5.5.0.4 or 6.0.1.0 or 6.0.1.1 or 6.0.1.2 or 6.0.1.3
So try to charge for evwn 10 hours and try all button combinations as volume up+power for more than 5 seconds (recovery mode) or volume down+ power (download mode)
Try multiple times
If managed to go to recovery, so flash a cm10 for example from www.teamhacksung.org , put in external sd and flash
If managed to go to download mode, so flash stock from www.samfirmware.com via pc odin 1.85 and install kies before that for drivers

Does Odin say pass! when you flash the recovery? If not, redownload the file and try different versions on yuor tablet.

If you have ics 4.0.4 not 4.0.3 so your problem might be that a script rewrites the stock recovery again so flash cwm via odin in download mode when pass then go to recovery manual after disconnection of computer via volume up+power then flash root in cwm

Please use the proper punctuation. For a couple weeks now I've been trying to understand what you post. Its hard for people to read it when sentence runs into sentence.
Periods and comma's man! They're needed!
Yes

I had the same problem, because I had already taken the 4.0.4 update. The problem I (and I suspect the others) were having is the reboot after Odin installs the CWM. It happens so fast, there's no time to unplug the tablet and do the button dance to boot into recovery. As a result, the normal boot goes through, and runs the install-recovery.sh that Ryan79 mentioned in system/etc, restoring stock recovery.
Here's how I solved it: On Odin, uncheck "Auto Reboot". Install CWM6. When it goes green, unplug the tablet (still in "download" screen). Reboot manually into recovery (hold power + Vol. left, release power, hold vol. left until CWM screen comes up). I did this straight from the "download" screen. The tablet powered off after a few seconds of holding the power button, then came up to the samsung screen, then I released the power button and continued to hold the volume button until CWM6 loaded. I installed the cwm-root-gtab2.zip file. I selected YES
when the "Stock Reboot Fix" question appeared. Rebooted from recovery, Successful root! Looks to me like the "fix" simply renames the install-recovery.sh, removing the ".sh" at the end. I have now rebooted a couple of times normally, and can still access CWM6 through the buttons.

Hi guys,
I have been reading the xda forums for quite some time, a year or two maybe, but this is the first time I have acutally signed up, and created a thread.
I just recently bought a Galaxy S4 VE (I9515), and rooted the device yesterday (CF 9505). That all worked very well. After that, I used the CWM App to install Clockworkmod 6.0.4.7 Non-Touch (again, for the I9505), and that worked too. I created a full backup in CWM, and then formated "/system" under "mount", to then proceed and install Cyanogenmod 12. Once that was installed, I noticed that the ROM was for 9505, and that the 9515 (my device) seems to have problems understanding my touch input, hence the touchscreen wasn't working.
So I flashed it using Odin. Here is where the problem starts:
1. Quality USB cable used.
2. Went into download mode, and plugged it in
3. Device conntected and detected by my Windows 8 PC
4. Used Sammobile to get Stock Firmware for the 9515.
5. Flashed it using Odin under AP/PDA.
6. Once done, the phone first boots and shows "Recovery booting" on the galaxy s4 screen. It then shows the green android symbol, and after RUSHING through that (there is a bar, and I'm sure mine is filling up way to quickly), it reboots, the "recovery booting" font is gone, it shows the samsung logo and is stuck on that.
Any suggestions for that? I just bought it recently as my I9305 had a dead eMMC...
Hello,
Boot in recovery mode (volume down+power keys), choose wipe data/factory reset and reboot

Hi all,
I have a GT i9505 with cyanogenmod 11 installed.
I rebooted into recovery mode using the power menu option instead of the volume up + power + home option, which brought me into a cyanogenmod simple recovery mode. Soon I found my phone is stuck in this mode, pressing reboot phone only sends me back to this simple recovery mode.
I plugged my phone into my computer (that has kies installed), but windows 7 would only provide me with a "dee dee" noise and not able to detect my device.
I am quite frustrated now and don't know what to do. Do you guys have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Nelson
Have you tried entering Odin Mode (Power + Volume Down) and reflashing a custom recovery again?
If not, download Odin 3.07 (you will find it on Google), put your phone into Odin Mode (as I told you earlier), and download a recovery in .tar or .tar.md5 format. Put the file into PDA (or AP if you use a newer version of Odin on your PC) and press Start. Check ONLY Auto-Reboot and Reset Time and not Repartition or anything!. Then, it will flash again the custom recovery and you should be able to enter it using Power + Volume Up.
It may be a bootloader problem. Since it won't boot in anything else but recovery. I had a similar problem with an Galaxy S Advance and flashing a bootloader did the trick.
OMG Thanks Villa_Man!!! You guys rock!
one more thing if you guys don't mind.
When I pressed power + home + volume up, it will still take me to cyanogenmod simple recovery instead of cwm which I have installed.
I am currently booting into cwm via the cwm app. Is there a way that I can change my default recovery to cwm so I can boot into it via the hardware button method?
Cheers guys
I am on Samsung galxy s4 I9500
crdroid rom 5.1.1
Today i installed CWM recovery(i was on twrp) using the dd method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2362838
when i switched off my phone and held down the buttons to go to recovery mode(vol up + power +home)
it went into a screen saying
" Downloading...
do not turn off target"
without the "odin mode" and other stats such as device model, device status etc
and now whenever i try to normally boot into my rom it gives the screen saying
" Downloading...
do not turn off target"
i tried removing the battery and then inserting it in again but no luck
but i can go into the odin mode
Please help
I think there is a problem with your "volume down" button. Because it's possible to boot to download mode without the home button. This has happened to me before. I think you may need to open your device, or take it to a repairer.
CWM is outdated. I recommend sticking with TWRP. Sounds like flashing CWM did something to the ROM.
Try re-flashing stock ROM via Odin if possible.
Flash TWRP recovery through Odin on download mode, then flash your ROM zip through TWRP.. Done..

And it worked
Hi Friends,
I tried rooting my new Galaxy Tab A SM-T595 and now it's in perpetual bootloop, I can't even get to download mode to flash stock rom.
Things I did:
1) flashed stock rom using stock odin
2) flashed TWRP 3.3.1.0
3) flashed Magisk using TWRP
after I installed magisk, it went on bootloop.
I've tried every key combination to get to download mode, but it keeps getting back to TWRP page and reboot again, any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Update
I fixed the issue on my own the hard way.
Problem Description: Galaxy Tab in perpetual TWRP reboot loop, no access to recovery or download mode
Solution:
1) Open Galaxy Tab housing, it's pretty simple, no hard work or muscle required, just refer to the video link for tab disassembly. "https://youtu.be/EefQ0a6MHWA"
2) Unplug battery from board to power down your device, refer to the image attached herewith. "https://imgur.com/KHRryWH"
3) Press Volume "UP" and "DOWN" buttons together and connect the USB cable to your PC.
4) On download mode confirmation page release the buttons and press "UP" key to confirm.
5) Flash stock Rom with ODIN.
That's it!
