I have setup Google Music with a proxy and uploaded music which is showing fine in my online account.
Nothing is showing in the Google Music app in Nexus 7 (unrooted) there is also no setting in sync settings showing Play music. There is also nothing in settings in the app to link my account, choose offline etc.
I have a Motorola Xoom and a Nexus S (both rooted with custom ROMs) and both devices are working perfectly with Play Music
Any ideas?
Thanks

Worked it out. Into settings/apps/Google play music/ cleared cache & cleared data.

Recently I tried to buy a couple apps on the Google play store, but received an error message. It is vague and only says an error occurred, but gives me no clue as to what it is.
I am on cm7.2 stable, and haven't encountered too many errors before this Google play issue.
Thanks

Try clearing data within play from settings and then try.

Also check your data network status. An interrupted network often generates error.
Thanks. I cleared both data and cache from settings (manage applications) and rebooted, but no luck.
Network settings are fine. I'm on Wi-Fi with strong signal.
Where would I get an app appropriate .apk file of Google play if I want to remove it from my phone and reinstall?

â´shared go there on mobile browser do a search. Hope this helps.
defy cm7
After spending a bit of time on the phone with Google and clearing more data from Google services and signing in and out of Google talk, still no luck.
I then cleared data and cache and dalvik in recovery. Still no luck.
Solution was to go to play store (as recommended in previous post). Hopefully I can use the play app eventually, but this works for now.
Thanks for the help.

Hello,
I traveled to Jordan and used their local SIM card (zain).
After one or 2 days started my phone acting strangely. I can't open my gmail and Google play. I didn't tried other apps if they got same issues. However when I restart my phone I got couple of messages telling net that gmail stopped working. Also some processes too, like com.Google.xxxxx. I also tried to reset the gmail and Google play cashes hoping solving the problem but it doesn't.
Can someone help?

You might have used your backup app to restore some core services/system data.
This is only happen to me when I restore all system data with titaniumbackup.
Google has some problems recently, might be linked to that?
I had the same issue yesterday. Some update application did this. I had to erase and reinstall everything again in order to fix the crash.

Try signing out of Google then back in.

You have to remove them from your Google account directly not from the phone. Then clear data on your picasa and reboot

I ran into the same problem few days ago, and here is what you can do!
EASIEST WAY "CHEATING"
Go to your gallery! THEN "Settings" THEN "Content to display" then uncheck picasa, and magically it should disappear from the phone!
NOW TO DELETE THESE PICTURES FROM YOUR GOOGLE ACCOUNT:
If you have access to the computer, go to your google plus account, and then you'll find the pictures set as a backup!
If you're using a cellphone!
Download Google Plus or Picasa App, it will use your gmail to log-in! Go to settings, and disable the image backup! Also you'll have the option to remove them for good from your account!
you can go to
Settings
Accounts
Google
uncheck pictures
then clear data for
Gallery
Media Services
this way it stays on your picasa but not ur phone

This. It's how I deal with the problem after a full wipe.

Hello,
My play store gave me an error to retrive from the server, so I uninstalled updates and cleared cache and it didn't worked afterwards.
What do I do?
Edit: when it tries to sync with my Google account, it shows "Request Permission" in the notifications, and when I click it, the Google account manager crashes, so I cleared data, force stopped and cleared cache and no luck. What do I do?!?! I'm stuck with an outdated, not working play store!!

1. Make sure you haven't only deleted the cache but also the data of Play
2. Clear the data of Google Services Framework
3. Remove and re-add your Google account
4. Reflash your system partition and/or do a factory reset

Having the same issue and obviously reflashing is out of the question. What are the consequences of removing my account and readding? Do I lose my apps? Do I have to add my account back in gmail, etc...?

You won't lose any apps. After adding, using the settings menu, I think you just need to sync things again, so it won't be a problem.
I simply removed and added back in my Google account.
Don't forget to reconfigure what gets synced with your Google account afterwards.

Watch the app that I paid for go all bipolar on me... Happens on all uninstalled purchased apps. I tried wiping data and cache from Google Play Store. Still the same result. Server side?

A couple of things I would try if it were mine:
- Clear cache and data for Google play services
- Uninstall updates for Play Store
- Remove the Google account associated with your play store and add it back
