Hello, I've been following this forum for awhile and am in need of help.
I recently have purchased the game Modern Combat 3. After the GameLoft logo on startup, the app force closes. I am using an Ideapad K1 with Khanning's ICS ASOP rom.
If anyone could help me run MC3, that would be amazing!
Thank you,
Jeeab
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game?

Yeah, plenty of times. I also cleared app data several times too.
My "user agent" (idk what you call it for the whole device) is listed as a Xoom with the rom. Im not sure if that info helps
It probably won't work. Most Gameloft games don't support lenovo k1. I don't understand why. It doesn't have many differences from XOOM or Iconia or even Galaxy tab.. I also hate that Lenovo themselves stopped supporting their product, not offering firmware updates.

I would like to figure this out as well. I can't activate it, change my profile name or anything. It won't work though Fruit Ninja or Age of Zombies for me.
I have the same issue
Openfeint finally loads, I'm running 3.2 stock rom and launchpad kernel. Rooted

Still not workin for me. Team tiamat rom and kernel 2.1 android 3.2
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
It would be great if this could be fixed. Does it work for most people running stock and it's just something that was broken during development, or is this just an OpenFeint/Honeycomb compatibility issue?
Most likely its because roms use the ua mod so you Xoom shows up as a desktop pc. You need to flash a stock framework file.

There is someone with this problem? My rom is "krakd 1.5.2".

+1 here. Very annoying indeed. I even thought a reset would fix it. It didn't. Using Revolver 3.11.1

I wish I would have checked here first. I mean first before, thinking I am knowing what I am doing.
I deleted my youtubetablet.apk from my system/data folder (thought I could just reinstall it from a system dump)
I found out I cannot. can anyone help me to get this app back or point me to the right direction? I am guessing I have to use cwm somehow but I am not sure how to reinstall system apps and dont want to mess up anymore than I have.
thanks for anyhelp,
Bone stock TF101 here I just bought today, and I'm having youtube fc issues too. Damn, that's aggravating. No problems on my ICS NS4G though.
Also getting the same on my TF101 with Prime 2.1.1
Noticed if I switch off the wifi just before I select a video, select the video and let it get a "network error", then switch back on the wifi and click to retry it works fine.
very odd ... wish I knew more about this stuff
You tube not working on tf. But is fine on galaxy s with ics. ?
Transformer TF101 revolver rom isc theme
Stock tf101 was crashing last night. However its not the app, but each video I picked that caused a crash.
But could view youtube videos in dolphin fine.
Yup I tried it and fC on me when I picked a video on my TF101.

Jellybean play store
Has anyone tried it on their tf 101?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium HD app
I installed it on my Razr MAXX. Other than the addition of "Magazines and TV", I didn't see any difference. I uninstalled it because I have no interest in these additions. ..But it did work fine. You can try it on the TF. It's easy to uninstall the update if there's any issues.
I have it installed on my stock ICS TF101. I downloaded it from another XDA thread, I believe for the Amaze 4G. It is running fine with no problems. I've already canceled a magazine subscription from the nook store and started getting it though play magazines. It was almost 40% cheaper through the play store. Loving it so far.
I just noticed that sometime in the last 48 hours, the new Play Store was pushed to my TF. It is now running 3.7.13.
hey guys.
do you know if this update is available in play store or i need to track it here at xda? i do not have the transformer with me and i was currious.
thanks

Your Play Store should have updated itself my now. It's been pushed to all my devices. If not, you can find it on sites such has "Droid-Life".
Yea, I'm using it. I like the new magazine section. You should have no problem with it. Just find it and upgrade.

I just realized that the new store has added some pretty subtle improvements like auto-complete to the search box (it'll pop up with actual apps as you type, as opposed to just keywords - allowing you to bypass the search results screen) and full screen pictures of icons when you click on them.

So, this tablet is a great purchase don't get me wrong but the more I play with it the more I see force closing, freezing, and lag. Just not as snappy as my phone. My question is, is it the tablet or is it jellybean? I know jellybean is brand spankin new, so could this be the reason why these apps are force closing? Facebook and ALL browsers I've tried are the worst. And also for some reason it freezes a lot just when I go to my settings. Very annoying waiting for the simple stuff. Let me know if I'm the only one please. Thanks

Im the opposite way. all my apps run smoothly. I may get a bit of lag once in a blue moon but it doesnt bother me. Chrome is also very quick too.
Well if you ask Rovio, it's jelly beans fault. I asked them about Amazing Alex not being available and got:
"Unfortunately Nexus 7 can not be added to the compatible devices due to its non standard way of reading the game's manifest file. This is something we can not change, it's up to the device manufacturer and Operation System manufacturer."
Amazing Alex is running beautifully on my N7. Available from Amazon App Store, so that pretty much makes that last post a complete fabrication of fact.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
I also thought that Amazing Alex being incompatible seemed weird given that it works on Tegra phones...
A load of applications just don't seem to be ready for high resolutions, and don't look right. Given that this device has truly taken off I imagine everyone will start to include 1280 layouts.
I'm grabbing stuff through the Play Store onto my Tab 2 7.0 and the using ROM Toolbox to make a backup, then sideloading the backup .apks on the N7. So far everything has worked just peachy. Probably my number one annoyance at this point with the device. (Previous number one annoyances were "Why is this thing so hard to root after the last OTA or is it my Tab 2 drivers getting in the way?", and after that it was "How in the world do I get Flash to work, why is Dolphin HD not working with Flash?")

You guys should email Rovio.
Amazon Appstore doesn't have strict device policies for apps, so that's why you were able to install it and find out it works fine.
The Play Store, developers have tons of settings for device policies on apps, so they can exclude some devices, or can automatically exclude some devices (and they don't even know that it did).

Funny, it wasn't available for download from the Play store as of last night. I guess Rovio must have updated the software?

Rovio is the developer that created Angry Birds. Amazing Alex is from the developer Rovio.
Why is there yet another thread about app compatibility? Are these people all fresh and new to Android or something? Relax, the OS just launched, give it a few weeks - this is ridiculous now!
Even though YouTube app runs, it is indeed incompatible. Go to Play Store, you won't see it under your "Installed" list. You can't search it in Play store either (because it's incompatible with JB).
Is spotify supposed to be working? I ask as I cannot get the search feature to work at all and so am limited to playing my playlists only.
Amazing Alex HD plays fine here. The only game I found to run like crap is the Not-So-Amazing-Spider-Man.
-Its probably Tegra drivers and not Jelly Bean's fault.

Is anybody else getting a "Device Not Compatible" error with their Nexus 10? I kept getting a download error, then it began reporting that it wasn't compatible.
If so... Or if not... Does anybody know of a way to sideload it? I have purchased it legally and am looking for a legal way to do so- if there isn't, then don't worry about it.

It's laggy as hell on the nexus 10 so maybe that's why they made it incompatible. Anyways its so laggy you wouldn't even be able to Play it so I wouldn't bother trying to put it in it unless you get one of the older versions before the lag started

EDIT: I've contacted their customer support. Don't expect a response, didn't get one last time.
Its no longer reporting incompatible, gives this error when updating: "Update for "Asphalt 7: Heat" could not be downloaded due to an error. (Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0])". Googling now, but I've tried these solutions already
EDIT: It simply... Started installing. Finally. Here's hoping the performance is fixed- no reason my old Acer a500 should outperform my N10. I half wish I hadn't sold that thing.

Except for random losses of framerate, which seem to be moments in which A7H is loading on the fly, I have never seen this game run smoother. I am glad. My CPU is at 1.3GHz and GPU at 720MHz

Very easy trick! Hope this works for all....
1) Keep your Wi-Fi on in your Phone
2) From (Pc/Mac) desktop browser go to https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA7HM&hl=en (The main Asphalt 7 Google Play page, and make sure you Login on Pc with the Id you purchased it with)
3) Click Installed (Yes Installed, not Install as the game is already there and needs to be updated right?! )
4) Select the Device
5) Click Install and you will see the additional files being downloaded automatically on your Phone!!!
Enjoy and Press Thanks!! Cheers!!
Okay. But that wouldn't have fixed the issue I was having at the time.
