What gapps did you use? The gapps-jellybean-20120810? Or the gapps-jellybean-20120726? Because the first one is more recent and allows you to access your picasa photos in the gallery.

Atrix 2.3.4 and Gallery

Hi guys
After i updated from 2.2.2 to 2.3.4, the gallery on the version is all messed up, ie, no folders etc.
Everything is sorted via date......
Can anyone recommend a gallery viewer, or a fix, to be able to view the gallery via folders? (It does not provide that option when i go to sorting)
It makes it difficult searching for images located in different folders....
Thanks!

The first thing I do when installing a new rom is to let it build system files and then I open market once, accept the agreement, then reboot. Second thing? Freeze stock galleries and install quickpic.

You need to defrost them with Titanium Backup - you will have to do this after every reboot too. For Wallet, you will have to jump through a few hoops, as per my guide.
Ok thanks heaps, I will do the now.
But is the anyway I can make them visible permently?
If I flash a USA stock firmware, would they all be visible?
Thanks again
Cheers

I don't know to be honest. I would like them permanently visible too Maybe a custom ROM will resolve it. I haven't tried one yet but I plan to over the next few days.

Download the Camera launcher app for Nexus 7 and see if it works from there.

It says cannot connect to the camera

In skype you have to go into settings then at the bottom somewhere there is a tick box that says enable video calling, it is not in ticked by default because of something about it not being perfect yet, works well for me tho.. Not sure about tango.
Edit: if you wanna use the front cam to just take pics normally and for some reason you can't access the stock app the best way is to just download a third party camera app, bought vignette on sale today and that works perfectly too.

Sounds like you have a faulty camera. Probably you want to get a new Nexus 7.

Depends, ask your store or google. But it is alright if it is with google, you will get your new device before sending the old one
But anyway, try to factory reset or flash the stock rom before.

I got "Cannot connect to camera" message in all camera apps on Nexus 7 when running Skype in the background. The other apps started working again when I killed Skype. Its not your tablet thats broken -- its Skype.
Camera is not working in some custom ROMs afaik
Sent from my Nexus 7
You only have one camera. Skype will reserve it, and no other app can get to it if Skype is running in the background. Be aware of what you actually have running.

Have you tried going to settings apps photos and clearing the defaults?

I don't think you can choose the app it links to I just use Google plus so it changed

From my understanding, gallery is supposed to be phased out. However, have you tried uninstalling g+?

photosphere viewer

I thought I posted this topic yesterday but can't see it under my threads
Anyways so the problem is I am not able to view photospheres. I use quickpic clicking on compass in the center of photosphere doesn't do anything. I tried google camera inbuilt gallery as well same thing happens there clicking on photosphere icon doesn't do anything. Am I missing something?
I'm on Benzo ROM without gapps.
[Edit] I think I found a cause:
03-26 07:17:13.313 D/CAM_PhotoSphereHelper(13114): PanoramaClient not available.
However I don't know which app provides a panorama client I thought it was camera app.
Thanks
It Google Photos

Maybe it not compatible with the ROM you are using?
