Screen alignment or touch screen replacement ?

Hi..
I bought a Vodafone V1605 ( HTC Tytn ) from ebay... the auction description indicated some alignment problems that could be resolved by screen re-alignment...
But when i got the package i found that the problem is worse than that... as you can see in the picture ( http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/4319/tytnscreenul8.jpg ) the top-right of the screen seems to be with problems.... I tries to draw several horizontal lines... and in the top-right part of the screen i got some waves...
I'm thinking about returning the phone... but can this be resolved by purchasing a new touch-screen ? I've seen that buying a replacing touch-screen is not very expensive....
Best regards,
A new touch screen might help. What also is a known issue is the screws at the back of the screen. Try to tighten these it helped for some guys allready.
I replaced my touch screen after i cracked it and now i can't get it to align at all.
I click anywhere on the screen and it thinks it's a click in the top left of the screen as the start menu opens up.
Haven't been able to find anyone to answer my posts for help either.
If there is dirt on the edges of the screen (between screen and cover) it can cause alignment problems as well. I had to recalibrate mine several times a day at some point as dirt would move and press different locations, biasing the digitizer. I got tired of it, dismantled the phone, took the LCD out, cleaned it as well as the inside of the case, and put it back together. No more issues so far.

Had exactly the same problem (and solution) for the screen alignment problem of my Xperia X1. I removed a tiny plastic piece (most likely a leftover from production process) which stuck between the metal frame and the touch screen. After that I could easily align the touch screen and have no alignment problems anymore.
Be careful to not break the screen - I used a thin sewing needle and tweezers to remove the plastic piece.

[Q] Tiny white object under the glass screen?

Bought a Galaxy S4 on ebay a few weeks back. Didn't notice it at first, but when I sat down to apply a screen protector and wiped the screen clean, I noticed there is some sort of a micro object, like a white dot just under the glass. It is not a dead pixel, because it is there when screen is completely off, and when I tilt the phone and hold it at an angle I can see that LCD under this tiny dot is clean.
What the heck can it be? I doubt the seller changed the glass screen and wasn't careful when cleaning the LCD, but I suppose it is remotely possible since the phone has a nasty scratch with tiny chunks of plastic chipped off, on the bottom right corner of the silver bezel.
Anyone had a problem like this with their screen? Any way to fix this short of removing the screen?
Could be dust under the screen. If I was you I'd get it replaced if it bothers you. I dont think there is no way to remove it other than removing glass to clean it and reapply which I advice against.

Front glass damage - gap between glass and substrate, seems like delamination

I have dropped my S4 a few times, luckily most of the times it was with the ultra thin plastic case. Case did the trick of stopping the glass shattering, but I've noticed an irregular shape appearing beneath the glass in the upper right edge (where the phone has fallen once). The irregularly shaped blob has different colour than the rest of the blue bezel around the screen, it seems that the screen has delaminated from the blue background layer on that part. Phone works without any problems.
Has anyone else been having the same problem (I've seen it also on my colleagues S4, same reason), and is there any easy way to fix it (applying heat/pressure to the delaminated part or something similar)?
The glass digitizer screen is stuck on to the LED screen behind it with an Optical Glue.
I wouldn't think that a small part would come away like that, more likely you have damaged the LED screen.

Broken display. What to replace?

Hi all,
Minutes ago I dropped my MXP and fell hitting the lower right corner on asphalt. The plastic-metalic corner deformed and the screen shattered. 1/4 of the screen is shattered, inferior part. Touch seems to be working fine.
Has anyone successfully replaced his screen? Did you replace the plastic metallic framework as well?
Thanks in advance.

Do the two buttons next to the home button react to electricity or pressure

Hey guys!
I have a Samsungs s7 edge and I'd like to glue a film on the front part where its no touchscreen. But now I ask myself if the two buttons on the left and right of the home buttons will still work if there is a film on it. So my question: do those buttons react to pressure or to electricity??
Thank you all
It cant be pressure because full covered glass screen protectors cover that area up. Its got to be some sort of electrical sensor
I assume they work exactly the same as the screen itself.
