Just noticed this on the tab. Pretty cool stuff
Can't find wifi printer on network
Apparently it only works with certain Samsung printers, but there's very little information about this.
Regards,
Dave
Yes. From page 49 of the user's manual:
Print. Your device is compatible only with Samsung printers.

I have a Lexmark S405 and a SGsII but lexmark are only supporting apple with the Lexprint app
does anyone know how to remote print from the GSII i have looked at various other print share apps but none can actually print despite the app reporting connecting and sending
Hello try out printer share avilable on the market

I have used Google Cloud Print. Once I got it set up, it has worked fine.

There is an app for HP printers too. If someone needs it, I can post it. Stupid HP updated the app to support their web printers and deprecated the wifi ones.

Printer Share from the Market works great for me. The first 20 pages are free, so there's nothing to lose.
Cloud print can be used with any printer that's airprint/eprint ready and can be set up with practically any printer as long as the printers connected to a computer with chrome installed
Sent from my rooted Nexus1
PrintBot from the market also seems to work OK for me (HP Wireless F4500)
Sends direct to the printer via WiFi, no need for computer to be on. (Need to be on the same WiFi network of course)
Limited number of prints/month on free version.
Havn't fully tried it yet but it found printer and sent a test page OK

Apps that work:
Angry Birds
ADWLauncher EX
Audio Manager Pro
Battery Monitor Widget
Beautiful Widgets
Documents to Go
Dropbox
Dolphin Browser HD
System Info Pro
Tapatalk Pro
Rockplayer
Root Explorer
Apps that don't work:
Flash
Swype
Alot of games are not working. The resolution is all jacked up.
+1, I approve this thread. Let's hear some more apps that do/don't work.
Only thing that hasnt worked for me is USA Today.
Some look ridiculous in 10" of glory, but they do work...lol
Had some force closes with Dolphin HD but overall it works. Also had some force closes with pandora but again it works. Can't find Tango in the market either and since apparently only people with a Xoom can video chat on gtalk, I have nobody that I can actually video chat with yet until Skype comes out lol.
sling player works, but it is super slow and the resolution is not that great. i will try over wifi in a little while, but i think it needs to be updated by sling for 3.0.
my dinc in the same spot is great with sling running.
Full Exchange sync works:
E-mail
Contacts
Calendar
Barcode Scanner
Google Earth
ES File Explorer
Gensoid Lite (tested with Sonic the Hedgehog 2)
Google Sky Map
Homerun Battle 3D
RockPlayer Lite
SNesoid Lite (tested with Super Mario World)
Tank Hero
Tricorder
X Construction
That's all I've installed so far. I noticed that on the Android Market (which immediately updated as soon as I opened it) has a section devoted to Tablet Apps. Kinda sad to see there aren't very many yet, but I'm sure that will change soon.
nba league pass and game time works
Zenonia works, and actually scales very well in my opinion.
Also,
Astro
Shazam
Gun Bros
Documents to Go
And I wish I could find google body.
I'm having a problem now with the market. Everything downloads but then it doesn't install successfully. I restarted my xoom but still no go.

Are you trying to use your work's exchange server? If so, on my Nexus One I have to conform to the administrator's security requirements to sync to the server. Basically, it means I have to use a PIN lock screen.

It's probably some setting you're not considering that needs to be changed on the Xoom. With this being the first Honeycomb device, who knows what's different. I would ask your Exchange server administrator what security settings they require.
Can you attach a wiimote via bluetooth for nes games and such?
Anyone able to update dungeon defenders or are we suppose to pay for it now ... even though it came with the device

I just did using wii controller IME from the market. Takes a little playing with the settings in nesoid but it runs great and really fills the screen well.
Thanks for letting me know, I think that's the best way to entice mid 20's to early 30 year old people. "Look, I know your iSomething is awesome, but I just downloaded two apps and I'm playing nes and snes games with a wiimote, fo free."
Touchdown
Touchdown for Exchange, the new tablet version, is an incredibly awesome exchange mail solution. Works as well as desktop outlook, with mail, calendar, contacts, tasks and notes all available in a great windowed format.
spare parts is working, it allows unoptimize apps to run full screen on the xoom/galaxy tab.
* 1. Download “Spare Parts” application from Android Market and install it. If you visit us from the Galaxy Tab, follow this link : Spare Parts
* 2. Launch “Spare Parts” and scroll down to “Compability Mode”. Un-tick the box and tick it back.
* 3. Reboot the Galaxy Tab.
* 4. Launch “Spare Parts” again, scroll down to “Compatibility Mode” and un-tick the box.
* 5. Reboot the Galaxy Tab.
* 6. Congratulations. Your apps are displayed in full screen!

The Note will work directly with some of the Samsung printers. Other printers seem to need paid for apps.
Samsung 2160N (Wireless) does not work as it does not recognize command from Note.
Is there an app out there to print from within apps? cant understand why google havent built in this feature by now??
I use google cloud printing.
http://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/
If you don't mind paying a good app is Printhand.

Tweaked does cloud printing require the computer to be on that the printer is connected to or can i connect to a WiFI printer directly?
jnehama thanks i'll have a look at that app
thanks for the replies

Maybe because it's been doable for a long time? It's built in in the sense that any app set to receive the appropriate intents could communicate with a printer. Google Cloud Print does exactly this with Google's services, and other printing apps have been around for quite a while.
There isn't really a huge benefit towards making it a "system" function, especially on mobile. More services to run with little overall benefit.
In stock android there is an option to print to a printer wireless if it connected to a pc. In samsung kitkat I can only find printing for hp and Samsung printers no Google cloud print. Did samsung remove it?

I know i could just download one from market but none ive found is as good as the stock app in kitkat samsung are twats for removing it to try and get you to buy one of their printers. They seems to be turning into Apple limit everything you can do.
