Just use any ROOT file explorer, go to /system/lib/egl, open egl.cfg as text, delete everything except 0 1 adreno 200, save, rename libglesandroid to anything you want, reboot.

I tried your tweak and rebooted and got 2400 reverted and got 3110...so the cpu render tweak didn't work for me, but I'm not sad I'm still beating the stock nexus s

[Q] Archos 32

Hello people
I'm considering getting the Archos 32 but I was thinking of overclocking it and speeding it up.
Please answer these questions
Can i install custom roms on the Archos 32 ?
How would I install a custom kernel ?
( would I have to install a custom recovery ? )
How far can I overclock the Archos 32 ?
Can you install a different launcher ? like Launcher pro
I do have background knowledge of these things because I've done it all on my LG p500
but the archos 32 is different then a phone so I'm just checking to see if I can just do the same thing as on my phone.
There are no "really" costum roms, but urukdroid is a got alternative to stock os
overclocking..hmm.. does the 32 has the same processor as the 43 70 101?
yes: you can try the oc kernel by artadat | no: maybe some dev could build a oc kernel for 32
All i know is that it has a 800mhz processor and the 43,70,101 have 1ghz
but according to http://www.arctablet.com you can overclock the 70 to 1200mhz
so I was thinking would it go up to 1ghz
AT least 1000mhz

I'm pretty sure it has the exact same CPU as the rest it's just underclocked to 800mhz. It SHOULD be overclockable to 1.2Ghz but then again my 70 never would boot with the OC'd kernel, but you should be able to run at 1Ghz with Urukdroid.
ok good thanks
Just one thing which I have updated on my original post.

Of course! a archos in a normal amdroid device
Thats good
Dose anyone know where I could download a custom kernel to put on the 32 to let me overclock it to say 1ghz + ?
This shouldn't be here, since it is not dev.

Quadrant Results

READ RULES BEFORE POSTING.....
Ok so i noticed there is no official tread in the Gt540 section and im a quadrant addict.
I will update the post with the higest scores so we can see what mods, themes etc can be used to speed up our phone.
So here are the Rules...
1...State What Rom. (Swiftdroid,etc)
2...State What Mods and if its overclocked. (V6 supercharger,etc) ( 825mhz etc)
3...State What Quadrant App. (Advanced,standard,etc)
4...All Scores mentioned MUST have a Screenshot.
5...Keep it clean and classy.
6...Try keep it English, use Google translator and we will figure out your post.
Copy and paste this for easy use

Sorry for the spam, but maybe you should've mentioned something about processor frequency for the tests. Yours were done at 806Mhz, no?

Good idea, yeah 825mhz
Here are mine :
Clk: 825MHz
Rom: Swiftdroid RC3
Mod: Swap On
App: Quadrant Standard, Neocore, Linpack, AnTuTu
Pic(s):
Here's mine. I know it's kinda poor, but nibras mentioned that odex'ing might lower Quadrant scores slightly.
Rom: CyanogenMod-6.1.1/Utopia RC0
Mod: ODEXed, V6 Supercharged(Balanced 3), Loopy Smoothness Tweak
App: Quadrant Standard.
Pic(s):
806Mhz:
825Mhz:
Swiftdroid PreRC4 @787 with 256mb swap
rom: swiftdroid rc4
mods: swap and this is a new rom just installed and running this test
cpu: OC 864 MHz
apps:quadrant
and the one in my sig, i lost the pic but its for you to believe me or not it was on rc3 T_T
ROM: Swiftdroid v2.0 preRC4
Mod: OC 844 MHz; 256 MB swap partition, 512 MB ext4 partition; V6 Supercharger (Balanced 3 + Bulletproof launcher)

Mods: Swap and Ext2 partition
CPU: OC 340-844 MHz
Apps: Quadrant (only 542)

It doesn't reflect on user performance. In fast, 2.1 roms are smoother in user interface and graphics

Mine is stable on 806MHz but if I switch it up to 825 I get restarts when I use certain apps, such as Market.
It's strange, I can do Stress Test for an hour with SetCPU at 825, but when I use Market it restarts my phone.

Can you make tjat rom for custom kernel? I bet that with custom kernel score would be 2200+
Sent from my E15i using xda premium
I cant unlock my bootloader yet so a build for custom kernel would be pointless for me. But when i do release the rom i will be more then happy to give someone permissions to make it work with custom kernel as long as im asked before hand and thats the only thing changed. I got a couple more small things to do to complete the build. Then it will be time for the first release.
