You'll need to flash a SBF for that. Rooting depends on your build number. What is it.?

you are forgiven... but only this time
Anyway, here's a link for official gingerbread beta 1 with usb access in pink mode (that means no need to root it to install Clockwork mod, just remove sdcard, enter pink mode, and copy the recovery.img to the image folder).
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/r8dyrvojy4is1iu/f1elHmpIDH/Stock 2.3.5 BETA 1 - Unlocked Bootloader.zip
I recommend that over any other stock gingerbread (if you gonna install aurora or any other custom rom based in .35 kernel)

Did you copy the bootloader on your current ROM, without following the guide you posted yourself ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22682229#post22682229 )?

Hi all,
I am an idiot (so the intro vid says) and I agree.
Got a little over zealous with Titanium Backup and deleted some files I don't think I should have, cause not my contacts app is not working.
Dug round the net and found these articles which were very helpful but didn't fix it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=867970
http://modmymobile.com/forums/639-m...motorola-defy-system-boot-recovery-dumps.html
http://androidforums.com/bionic-all...oke-contacts-app-when-uninstalling-yahoo.html
http://androidforums.com/bionic-all-things-root/412081-contacts-storage-force-closes-fix.html
to name the most useful I found.
I deleted all the files that related to what I thought was social network stuff.
But oops I read that yahoo stuff relates to contacts.
Some nice fella posted those files and I copied them across and changed permissions but it hasn't restored the app.
I think they related to another phone with android not a Defy+
Can someone please let me know where I can find copy of all the files in the system/apps folder for a Defy+ to download so I can replace
or let me know if there is a stable ROM I can flash that is suitable for the following phone version.
System Version: 45.0.891.MB526.SLTelstra.en.au
Android Version: 2.3.4
Baseband Version: EPU93_U_00.60.00
Kernel Version:2.6.32.9-gbdd614e
Build Number: 4.5.1-134_DFP-891
Thanks
Just flash ur stock sbf and root it again....much lesser hassle for all of us....

Moving to Q&A
My apologies lufc, I did read the rules and watch the video.
Also couldn't find what I was after, after searching for two days.
Found defy information, but nothing specific to defy +. Also tried the defy information but it didn't fix my problem.
As this is my first post I fully expected to do something wrong.
Thank you for changing the location for me.
In regards to the first post, so sorry to trouble you, I had already thought of that but could not find a defy+ ROM specific to Telstra Australia, there are two for the defy, one is for Froyo (I can't go backwards I believe) and the other just says Jordan. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that just another name for the defy. Would the Jordan work do you think.
As I don't want to brick my phone I thought it prudent to ask the question first.
where can I find the sbf for build 4.5.1-134_DFP-891?

Hi Bharath- I have a similar issue with build number 4.5.1-134_DFP-891.
I can't seem to find the sbf for this build--- do you know where I could possibly find it?
Would I then just have to use RSD lite to flash it?
Many thanks in advance.

It's the first thing that shows up when you Google "TFunz Defy Baseband switcher"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1052745
download link at end of very first post.
Not that hard.

I had installed MIUI on my mob .one time i was rebooting and my mob. opened in recovery
Without pressing volume down and it doesnt want to open normally so i deleted recovery
and nw it doesnt open except boot menu when i press volume up
so what's the solution please cuz i really miss my phone :/
I think you messed up your phone, flash MB525 stock rom (read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216982), wipe data/cache in stock recovery and try again.

In How to Flash Section He said ''Get the SBF you want to flash
- Full SBF: No Nandroid backup needed, always keep CG versioning in mind.
- Fixed SBF: You might need a matching Nandroid Backup. '' and didnt give link of MB525. sbf
I cant really find it so if u found it please put the link here And thanks Much for ur cooperation
Read "Official SBFs" section, get defy's SBF suited to your country and don't even think about touching Defy+'s SBFs.
Why? Read again "CG versions" section.
See? That thread's totally all-in-one!! (Pressing thank button to his thread would be a good idea.)

For now I suggest you read the while thread, it have everything you should know before modding your defy.

It seems you have not searched at all, since the info you need is easily available in the general section.

OK obviously, you have some reading to do. Read Zephyrots guide in the general section.
BTW, 4.4 is KitKat and it's in development. I suggest installing CM10.2 or below.
