central-europe.sbf while the battery crashed.
At this point i´m suceed to load my battery on an other device.
Now i want to flash my Flipout with RSD-Lite again but it just wont
get any connection to my pc in hboot-mode.
Ofc Drivers and everything is installed right.
My bootloader says:
"Bootloader
91.10
Code Corrupt
Battery OK
OK to Program
Transfer Mode: USB"
Hope someone can help me, Tim35p07
Bootloader say there is something wrong with firmware (code), but phone is prepare to flash, so You should connect phone to PC and continue flashing process. If phone is invisible for PC- probably Motorola only can help You, there is no device on the market which support Motorola phones (JTAG).

[Q] [help needed] White light only, correct .sbf needed

Hello all,
my Motorola Defy does not boot, only white light appears at top when connected to PC through USB cable. This happened after I flashed the device with UK version of .sfb file (mediafire link from http://www.simply-android.com/discussion/593/how-to-unbrick-or-flash-a-defy-firmware.sbf/p1).
Since then, I tried many .sfb files to flash my device but none of them made the phone boot. After second flash, PC wouldn't recognize the device without using MCGyver's battery fix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10600303#post10600303).
I think my problem is described in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=938708), although the link to T-mo Froyo ROM is broken.
I appreciate all the help and attention to this problem.
I think you have flashed an eclair-sbf on a froyo-defy.
After flashing your device boots in a black screen?
Choose the right froyo-sbf,
charge your battery before flashing external.
make if possible a factoryreset.
flash this froyo-sbf, its the retail british.

Thanks RATTAR, you saved my phone It now boots with red Motorola logo into Android 2.2

Few days back i successfully rooted my phone and after that flashed custom rom without having back up of factory Rom but during this process my mobile stuck .
RSD was unable to detect my phone neither i was able to completely charge my battery.
Last day i came across the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=892026
and set up everything as it is shown there.
Successfully flashed ROM UK Retail 2.2.2 Service sbf (Build number: JRDNEM_U3_3.4.2_177-003)
http://and-developers.com/sbf:defy
Phone was up but with warning message battery is invalid ,can't charged the battery.
I reflashed the ROm in hope that it will solve my problem but all was in vain .
When battery is fully drained ,i connect my mobile via usb .It boots up successfully but fails to recognize my battery showing a question mark on battery meter.
I can charge my battery via external USB .

Sorry for being late .
I have flashed every patch but still have the same problem.
Right now i have CM9 kernel 2.6.32.9 .One of the interesting thing i noted is that custom boot loader shows the right battery status but android battery says "unknown 100%" .At first i thought i had green lense but later via defylense app i came to know that i have red lens(it may be erroneous because i have already patched red lens batt fix files) .Few days back i tried dual boot Cm9 and Cm7 but none of them recognized my battery.
Please help me ......

I think that you has flashed a sbf with a not optimal BL (eg. you flashed a BL7 or so). For this kind of problem already exist a good topic.
link ?

Motorola Defy MB525 battery unknown
Same problem here. My Defy was working fine until I installed 0404 Quarx build. Then after a few hours installing and setting up my apps back I did a reboot and the got stuck in the Motorola logo until my battery drained off. USB won't recognize the device but I managed to use an universal charger to get the battery running again but again stuck at Motorola logo so I flashed a new rom using RSD. That got my device booting up again but the "Unknown battery" message started showing up whenever I tried to charge. I spent the whole weekend trying new sbf and battery fixes but none fixes the problem. I even got back the previous Quarx build I was using and still nothing. Is there something else I might have missed?
So I kept trying with different SBFs but none of them work and yesterday I changed back to Epsylon's last rom, which was the first I ever installed in my phone and now Android recognizes when the phone is connected or not, and it shows the "charging" icon but the battery full. In battery status still shows 100% and Unknown. Strangely enough when I go to the bootmenu it starts charging, but only if I keep touching the screen and moving around the menus.

Bricked Defy. Please help!

Hello,
Moderators: Am reposting since I did not get any reply. If you feel otherwise please delete.
Phone: Motorola Defy mb525 US TMobile(Currently being used in India)
Build number: 3.4.2-107 idn-9
I was trying to look for some applications that could take backup of my existing ROM when I forgot to turn off debugging during reboot after installing 2ndInit. Now I am unable to boot it up and it reboots after M logo. I tried fastboot but get only Android System Recovery. I have tried the following without any success.
1. RSD Lite: I dont see my phone in the device properties when I connect it to Windows after fast boot. Clicking Start and Show Device button does nothing.
2. Had battery drain problem but managed to get it charged using macgyver battery charge method.
Can some one really tell me how do I fix this?
Would appreciate your response.
I really need my phone back.
Srinivas
You will need to correctly install the necessary drivers, and use latest version of rsd lite. Also try with another computer. Another option would be to try to wipe data from stock recovery

[Q] Motorola defy black screen with white led

hi all i bought defy about a year ago as a second phone from ebay with cm7 installed.last week i purchase another phone and give my 7 years old daughter. however i reset everything and phone turn old version blur mod then stuck on m logo i download rom and sort the problem.
real problem starts now i try to install cm 9 download all required files wiped the phone and install the rom however it didn't restart stuck on black screen and only white led when connected with usb also didn't connect or recognized by rds lite.I found tread battery wake up from i think was ''mggrager'' or something else finally rds recognized the phone and install another sbf but still stays same as black screen and white.i read so many threats on this side or others and each i installed custom roms without clearing cache
battery replaced with replacement battery also original
all drivers installed
it doesn't respond any buttons or usb connection
rds only with battery jump
please help what to do
I'm having the same problem as you are, i believe... I had cm11 (or 10, not sure) installed for about a month now (back in december) .... Went on a trip, and when coming back my phone battery ran out at the airport... I take my phone home, not really giving it much importance, and i noticed it would never charge and/or turn on, and that when I connect it to the pc, nothing happened other than the white led coming on.. RSD won't recognized it...
So i found out i had to charge the battery manually, and used a Universal Charger... Still, no recognition by RSD Lite...
Finally, i found a way:
1. Open RSDLite
2. Connect phone (no battery on it)
3. While holding Power + Vol Up, put the battery in
4. RSD will recognize your phone!
Problem is, it recognizes my MB525 as "S Flash OMAP0360"
And when i try to flash a .sbf i used previously to recover my phone (had bricked it by trying to change ROMs in a sloppy manner), it seems to flash smoothly, but when it's going to reboot the phone, the progress goes up to 100% and then asks me to reboot it manually.. I read somewhere that to fix that i should take the battery out, disconnect the phone, put it back in, and make RSD recognize it like i mentioned before...... and after RSDLite says flashing is PASSED, the phone still won't turn on... I have tried at least three times and gotten the same result... Help?
I don't know if i should make a thread of my own.. i think we have the same problem, and i REALLY need my phone back.. so i guess we could just help each other fixing it somehow....
The SBF i am using (because it helped me save my phone before) is:
JORLA_U3_3.4.2_107-9_SIGNED_USAJORDMR1B25TIGCOLA01E.0R_JORLAFROTIGCOLA_P009_A002_M010_HWp3_WIG146037_Service1FF.sbf
EDIT: Also, i read somewhere that when all you get is the white led (when connecting to PC) it means that your battery is not charged enough for flashing.. ?
i already tried several times this method however no luck i am really not sure what to do any more i think only option try to find latest rom or first rom then try again if any luck will update and give the links
