if you are struck at installing stock rom while unpacking it,
here is the tip i want to share with you .copy the dload in internal sd card (not on external sd)and then unpacking works fine and stock will be installed
after rebooting just do data wipe/factory reset that's it,you will get stock rom after rebooting.i recommend to backup data for this

Have you made a nanroid back up?
Make sure you unzip the rom from the right place on your SD card.also try and wipe the cache and reinstall the cm7 rom.
If that doesn't work! I can try and send you one of my old backed up roms.

i did and nothing happen. is there a way i can get to my files via usb?
you won't be able to access files unless you select disc drive, and you can't do that. are you trying to install through hboot?
if you take the battery out of the phone and go to the bootloader screen and boot into the recovery screen and select the nandroid screen you will be able to mount the usb storage from there at least i can from my wildfire, hope this helps you

I had been running Wanam's ROM, and using Perseus kernel.
But now when I try to install another ROM, kernel or change the CWM zip I'm using it will always come back with a status 7 error. Flashing some ROM's just reboot, and go back into CWM.
I'm now stuck in CWM and can't boot up any ROM or can't restore a backup as its also saying status 7...
Have done a day of researching but any solution didnt work. Changing the updater-script to allow the i9500 didnt work as it already allowed any device to flash it.
Any ideas guys?
cheers.

If you returned everything to stock, you may be able to start again.

So just use ODIN and go back to stock, then re-root and try again from stock...
Thanks, I didn't even think of starting again from scratch...

Is there anyway to move folder from external SD card to internal SD card within CWM?
It seems to be a problem with my external SD card.
"error mounting external SD card"
I'm assuming that this is a exFAT problem as prior to this issue i was FAT32

Hi,
That would need some kind of file explorer.
I do not know if there is such a thing in CWM.

hey guys.
im wondering what will get lost if i factory reset?
every rom i put in is giving me trouble, some has gaaps crashing, some have android.acore crashing and battery is being annoying
so i was wondering if i should just factory reset
will i need to anything like re-unlock bootloader or install the recovery again? or is it just going to be without rom?
and when it is without rom, can i still plug in USB and put a zip inside the internal storage?
ty
Yes it will just reset the rom, but the recovery won't be deleted and the bootloader will stay unlocked
You should still be able to transfer the files, but as far as I know you can load the rom on the internal sdcard and it shouldn't be deleted when you perform a factory reset

I would transfer the rom on the internal sdcard, do all necessary wipes and install the rom
And in the recovery you should be able to mount the usb to your pc or use adb to push or sideload the rom

You're supposed to wipe fully before you install a ROM, if its the same ROM but an updated version you just wipe partition

hey guys.. I rooted my GT-I9500 and am running on wanamlite ROM 4.0.. and the stock kernel.. recently I started getting crash reports every minute saying "unfortunately youube has closed". I tried finding a solution online, but nothing really helped.. in the end I wiped cache and tried doing a factory reset from recovery (philz recovery). suddenly I realized that it was erasing data on my memory card too, and in panic, I pulled it out manually.. after this when I switched the phone back on, the memory card seemed fine, but the crash message issue hadn't gone away.. so I flashed the official ROM via ODIN and re rooted my phone and flashed wanamlite 4.0 using CWM recovery.. now the SD card refuses to show up.. after hours of trial and error one method I found was going into recovery and mounting the SD card from the option "mounts and storage". but this works only for sometime and soon its back to the SD card not responding.. once it stops responding, gallery and camera doesn't open up (freezes) and the music player has no songs in it.. so I've to go into recovery every time this happens and mount via recovery.. can anyone please help?

Hey guys, I was using TWRP to install a custom rom, but I accidentally wiped EVERYTHING off the internal storage (Format Data) Now it's completely blank, nothing at all on it. My computer doesn't even detect the amount of space on the device, and I can't send any files to it. Did I just permanently destroy this phone? Can it be fixed?
Will TWRP be gone if I reboot the phone? Help please
AT&T VERSION
I did that once on my ls980. I just downloaded a stock tot image and used lgflashtools to go back to stock. Worked like a charm.

Do not reboot your phone, 'cause as you say, you wipe everything, so there is no more Android on it. Plug to your PC and try use ADB command instead of Graphic Explorer. If "adb devices" return your device, then your good to go and push a ROM on your phone. Else, the only way is to go in Download Mode and restore your phone with .kdz or .tot file.
Thanks for the help guys, I found a solution.

I added a rom.zip to the phone storage then just flashed it using the recovery.
