Try all the ROMs. Then decide which you like best. My favorite is Paranoid Android.

Its the truth and helps better than Saying I use so and so ROM. He also asked what the best ROM is not what ROM you're using and nobody can say what the best ROM is. So shove it.

But this is a community... and if all people are so friendly and helpful like you, xda dev wouldn't exist any more.
And now get on the topic again and let other people help.

There is no "best" ROM, it's all about personal preference.

cm 10.1 is still a complete mess. almost like android 4.2.1.
use cm10 if you have to use aosp. otherwise i wouldnt bother with any nonstock rom on the note2.

Lol. I think he still has his Nexus S. He's just letting his wife use it as she gifted him with a One X+ for Christmas, but he'll still be able to work with it whenever his wife's home. Nothing wrong in offering him the phone though.
DerTeufel1980 could use it to work on his kernel that he is trying to create 440MB.

Please answer my pm (again). As I said, cdma doesn't matter, as I don't need it as a working phone.
If only the shipping costs are the issue, I am sure there is a way.

Pointless on a Nexus 4. The only "mods" I use are audio mods. This phone is fast as hell, and if it isn't, something is wrong with your phone

the only mods i would suggest performance wise is dalvic and bionic patches if you are on stock. http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/4-4-4-4-x-qualcomm-optimized-dalvik-t2546120
also a kernel for better battery life (undercklock undervolt) or overcklock if you really need it.
after that if you are on stock and want so other functions you could install exposed framework and gravity box or XblastTools. they have a tons of small modifications making your life way easier with nexus. i use this setup and it really change my phone to better...
All these mods advertising performance boost and such never did anything for me on any of my phones.

The m8 gpe and sense use different kernels... For example you can't use the gpe elemental kernel on a sense ROM. Also when faux was developing his kernel for the m8.. The sense kernel worked with WiFi and gpe had WiFi issues that to my knowledge have yet to be solved.
Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Franco develops kernels for the nexus range. I have used them in the past.
Being Nexus kernels they are for GPE Only. He won't develop outside of that.
BTW.. the 300 requests have been exceeded.
Yes! I ran Franco kernels on my galaxy nexus. Top notch stuff

M8 ordered. You win.
W00T! I used Franco's kernel on my VZW Gnex up until two weeks ago when I got my M8. That kernel absolutely made the thing fly for a two year old phone. Plus I have his paid app so I got auto updates and access to all the tweaks in one simple format.
Of course.. and I'm here on Verizon...

I'm really happy with ARHD 5.5 right now with Elemental kernel. If it's possible to use Franco with a sense ROM then I would give him a few weeks to iron out any bugs and then flash. But if not, I won't be too upset because I've got a pretty good thing going already.
