I'm using defy (525), BL7, CM10-20120904-NIGHTLY-mb526.zip
(I'm sorry to upgrade to BL7, thus I need use mb526 rom)
After I upgrade from CM9 to CM10, I cannot connect wifi, always stay at "getting IP address"
Now I can use "fix premissions" in recovery menu to fix this problems.
But I need do this everytime once I reboot my phone, otherwise, no wifi connection can make.
Is there any way to fix this forever?
Many thanks.

I don't know if this is a big problem because ICS 4.03 works well on my device, but does anyone have a solution for fixing my mac address problem. It tells me that my mac address is 00:00:00:00:00:00 & I am unable to connect to wifi because of this.
I have tried "set MAC address" from the android market but it tells me it's not compatible with my device.
I have tried all of the Gingerbread upgrades from the betas to the latest upgrade & still get the same problem.
Whilst I have no problems with the wifi using only the official roms, as soon as I install the ICS 4.03 it wipes out my mac address.
Help Please!!!
Hey XDA !
I just installed CM9 on dual boot with my FroYo on my Defy MB525.
But when I launched it, I can't have WiFi ! I first activate WiFi, then click on my network (WPA-PSK with WPS (but I don't use it), and configured on "54g auto").
Before I click, the signal is good. But then, when "Connection" is wrote, the signal become very poor (only 1 little bar is lighten). I can't connect on the network. After that, the signal becomes again good.
When I try to look at my Mac Adress, I see "00:00:00:00:00:00" !! By the way, my Bluetooth adress is "not available" !
What should I do ??
EDIT : I already tried to reinstall the ROM, and I also wiped the cache/system/dalvik before AND after installation ! I tried to use another nightly of the ROM, and using CM10 (which, I don't know why, just don't want to boot and continue restarting if I choose to boot on it) !! And if I boot on the other system, the FroYo base, everything works perfectly ! And all my others devices (PC, PS3...) connect normally to the router !

The mac address means either the query cannot retrieve the address, or more likely the device/card cannot connect to the OS.

Okay... But what can I do ?
Can someone help me.
I have a Bug at my phone, that after connect with more than 2 or 3 Wifi networks my wlan doesn't work anymore.
I can start it and can try to connect with a network but then it tries to get an ip address and it lose connection and reconnect.
Everytime i get this i have to re flash my phone to get it work again.
Does someone know how to fix it?
I'm currently at CM9 FXP 215 with Lupus Kernel V8-720P
But it doesn't matter what Kernel or Custom Rom i have flashed
Ok now i have a way to fix it temporary.
I set a static ip for all Networks(same IP at all networks, because they are all from me)
Wireless 802.1 EAP stuck at "obtaining IP address" on KitKat stock (can't connect)
Hello everybody,
i know that it seems to be a common bug but i've found a lot of complaining about it but no solutions, so i hope i'm gonna be more lucky opening a more recent post.
I was using Paranoid Android 3.99 (based on Jelly Bean 4.3) and then yesterday i decided to come back to Android AOSP stock in order to upgrade to KitKat 4.4.2.
I followed this procedure that is the official Google procedure, by the way.
I've wiped everything, including SD Card, and flashed every piece of the stock KitKat 4.4.2 for Nexus 4 (Android 4.4.2 KOT49H): boot, bootloader, flash, radio, system, userdata and recovery.
Now, i'm not able to connect to the wireless of my office that is protected with 802.1 EAP (PEAP + MSCHAPV2). The authentication is passed but then i get stuck at "obtaining IP address" and after a few attempts i receive the message "network disabled poor connection".
Once every 1000 attempts, i am able to connect successfully.
The signal is excellent, i'm really close to the access point.
I'm the only having this problem; we have a lot of Android phones and iPhones and they all work great.
I can't use a static IP address and i can't change the router/access point settings.
I have no problem with domestic wireless, protected with WPA or WPA2 PSK. I've tested 2 different wifi.
I had no problem with Jelly Bean AOSP stock or Paranoid.
Any suggestions?
Maybe a different radio?
I really don't want to wipe and flash everything back the second time in a couple of days. It's frustrating.
Thank you in advance.

Wi-Fi is using similar memory controller as SD card. I had an issue where my SD got corrupted and Wi-Fi did not turn on because of it aswell. So try removing/replugging the SD card (and restart afterwards).
Ty for your answer blefish, i try what u do and try with another SD card, and i put my SD to another device. and i can´t turn on wifi, but my friend phone´s works well.
UPDATE: i made a downgrade to 2.2.2 froyo and WiFi Works Well.. any hint to upgrade my phone? whitout lose WiFi?¡
]when you're on ICS do you have an IMEI number? If not your phone is screwed on any ROM higher than GingerBread. Mine is the same. It just cycles through the connecting cycle on and off. I've even tried forcing an IMEI number through a program but it didn't change anything.
EDIT: nevermind finally after hours and hours of trying to revive this phone I got my IMEI back and wifi working. Damn it took ages to figure out.
Flashed to Official Gingerbread, then done the steps of retoring my IMEI number which is listed behind my battery. I used DFS tools for this and a post that tells you how to access the project setting menu to enable the settings. Then I wrote my IMEI number back on my phone, then rooted it and installed a custom recovery. Then from there installed Aurora ICS and used another post here to write my Mac address found behind my battery using Terminal Emulator. And bam! my wifi isnt stuck in a loop trying to connect anymore.
I got an IMEI number but the wifi dosent work, do I need to simply use TWRP to get official? then go back?
