Hey XDA !
I just installed CM9 on dual boot with my FroYo on my Defy MB525.
But when I launched it, I can't have WiFi ! I first activate WiFi, then click on my network (WPA-PSK with WPS (but I don't use it), and configured on "54g auto").
Before I click, the signal is good. But then, when "Connection" is wrote, the signal become very poor (only 1 little bar is lighten). I can't connect on the network. After that, the signal becomes again good.
When I try to look at my Mac Adress, I see "00:00:00:00:00:00" !! By the way, my Bluetooth adress is "not available" !
What should I do ??
EDIT : I already tried to reinstall the ROM, and I also wiped the cache/system/dalvik before AND after installation ! I tried to use another nightly of the ROM, and using CM10 (which, I don't know why, just don't want to boot and continue restarting if I choose to boot on it) !! And if I boot on the other system, the FroYo base, everything works perfectly ! And all my others devices (PC, PS3...) connect normally to the router !

The mac address means either the query cannot retrieve the address, or more likely the device/card cannot connect to the OS.

Problem solved using "Full Wifi"
|{.
what the mean of "Full WIFI" ??
Also works if you just connect 8 or 9 times to the network, after some tries you get the "obtaining IP adress" message and it connects.
Well, the problem was also automatically solved when flashed the WildPuzzle7...anyway: Full Wifi is a wi-fi advanced configuration software.
so that i need is flashing ROM to WildPuzzleRom?
that's a risk. since i new user of wildfire android ?
need to read all thread and later i will try rooting and flash my phone..
thx..

Hey All!
Having problems connecting to the university's wifi
there are a few networks, some secure (802.1x and enterprise wpa(?)), one is open
At times, even when in areas of strong signal, the phone wouldn't connect
to any of the networks, or it would start to connect and then fall out
and start looking for other networks, even when there are other, it would usually not connect to any of them and continue wasting my time
if I have a 3G data plan, i wouldn't even bother, but unfortunately, I don't...
how do I fix this?
your having problems connecting to the secured ones ?
ive had the same problems , heres the thing :
my guess is ur uni has numerous routers with same ID , ur phone pairs some info to that ID , and if u wanna connect to another router with the same ID , it wont work.
heres what to try :
next time ur having the same problem with "good signal - no connect" , just detete(forget) ur unis wifi profile , re-scan re-enter ur id/pw , and it should work .... till u try yet another router , its a pain ...
Tried it, numerous times...
didn't change a thing...
Kernel?
What ROM are you using with what kernel? Highly probable this is a kernel problem. Tytung r6 for instance does not have this problem. This kernel is delivered in for instance the TyphooN Rom on TyphooN CyanogenMod 7.
v2.4.1: Updated to tytung r6 kernel. This fixes IEEE 802.1x/EAP authentication support as well as native tethering.

I'm using
2.6.32.15-g0e4b5ff-dirty
That's the problem. Either flash to another ROM or find out how to flash another kernel.
forgot to mention,
My device isn't flashed,
I'm surring CM7 from the SD Card
A solution
I find A solution (not THE solution) : reinstall the ROM and it's work find until the next time...
the reinstall doesn't RAZ anything, so it's 2 mn time
The last comment is not clear!
Wifi peap aslo does not work for my university. I tried many ROMs
Only darkstone from SD card worked long time ago, now I am running android from nand
Same problem here ^^,
Will try to install some kernel
I built latest ICS from AOSP. I also used the proprietary binaries. I immediately wanted to test wifi and mobile data and it didn't work...
So I flashed back to Pixel ROM. There my wifi worked again but mobile data connection not
Then I flashed latest KI radio. Still no mobile data...
My provider is Proximus
The APN settings seem correct at first glance.
#151# is showing me I have 179MB left
What can I do to fix? I tried numerous ROMs and radio's? Is it possible something is broke on my Nexus S?
IMEI 357194041841347
IMEI is still correct.
My device is showing no wifi mac adres or not bt adress. Also no ip adress. Maybe it is because wifi and bt are turned off...
Maybe I am paranoid, maybe not. Maybe I flashed a wrong partition ? I was hoping someone could help me.

which AOSP rom did you use ?
You might want to remove that IMEI number. The guy that quoted you also.
Hey.
I used Aurora 4.0_20 more for more then 4 months and it was all ok but had to install wpa_supplicant.zip for it to be able to connect to my router.
A installed AuroraSP (V4R? i don't exaclty) a while back, and i go it working, i don't remmenber if i had to install wpa_supplicant.zip or not. But TODAY i updated to AuroraSP and in both Ultimate and 6.2 the wireless is not connecting, it ask for the password, and automaticly says saved insted of trying to actualy connect. If i install the wpa_supplicant.zip it can't it loses all signal while authenticating and gives error while authenticating.
Just to give an update, i just installed aurora not even stock aurora is working atm, not even without wpa_suplicant, it starts connecting, gets IP, but when authenticating it loses signal of the network and disconnects. Anyone had this problem?

You need to change the wpa_supplicant for the wpa_supplicant_alt in the rar file and then reflash it :good:
Yeah, i did it, but it only works now with unprotected networks, if i have password it does not connect.

Try use the aurora_5.0_update21, First change it in the rar and then reflash it.
I get in all networks. Please be very careful when typing password!
:good:
Install Aurora 5.0 then updated it with 21? Then put AuroraSP on top of it?
Hello!
My Oneplus 5 does not connect to any wifi networks. It is able to see all wifi networks in the range, and is also able to save the network if the password entered is correct, however, it won't actually connect to any network that is saved. I have tried using advanced options while connecting to a network to change from DHCP to Static settings, but it still won't connect to any network. I have also tried changing the wifi band frequencies (2.4 and 5 Ghz individually) to connect to a network but that too does not help. Mobile Data and carrier signal on the other hand work flawlessly, and so does bluetooth connectivity, NFC and personal hotspot (which is why I am very confused). I should also mention that when it fails to connect to a saved wifi network, it occassionally displays "Disabled" under the network SSID (replacing "Saved").
I have changed 3 different ROMs (LOS, stock OOS and No Limits ROM, even replaced the stock kernel with blu_spark r69 when I tried using No Limits and stock OOS to try and see if that fixed the problem), but the phone just won't connect to any detected/saved network using any of those ROMs. I have reverted it fully back to stock now (OOS 4.5.14 and stock kernel and stock recovery) and am still having the same problem.
Sorry if this issue has been solved before and if I am reposting something, but I really need this fixed ASAP and am not able to find a working solution after searching the forums and googling the whole day. Please help me! Thanks!
Edit: finally fixed the problem thanks to Ivints and PeterGuru. Check out the post that Ivints linked below (especially the comments in page 2 of the same)

Thank you so much Ivints! I'm trying to fix it right now with the solutions I got from the post.
I'm having exactly the same problem that the guy who started that post had. I'll let you know when I fix it and everything goes well again! Thanks again, bud!
if you want to stay on Nougat look for the O2N revert flash file it's in the Oxygen 5 beta threads that will let you get back to a nougat based rom.
The Oreo update touched other partitions outside of /system so those wifi drivers don't work with Nougat anymore

I see... I'll look for that thread and get the flash file! thanks! I'm currently using xXx's No Limits 9.2 OB03 ROM with bluspark 3.2.1 recovery and bluspark r77 (Oneplus 5). The only reason that I feel like reverting back to Nougat is that I want to be able to use Xposed again. So i guess I have that option in hand not too! Thanks, bud!
Hello there my friends, i have a problem with my op5
its about wifi: it doesn t see my wifi anymore. idk why
it s been connected to this wifi 2 years ,even after switching roms kernels, firmwares
and now , it doesnt see the wifi no more, actually it sees it, in `Saved` section, but when i press on it to connect
it says ` not in the area` but my other op6 its connected no problem
and i even tried through qr code, it says ` check ur connection and try again`
Just one add-on cause I was just a few minutes away from formatting my data. My OP5 unlocked rooted, rest stock, wasnt connecting to my home wifis (2,4ghz and 5ghz). I flashed a full ota zip. I deleted wifi bluetooth via backups settings.
But I found out that connecting to an iphone hotspot worked. So I entered manually the network SSID + password although the same network name was already in my wifi list (with marking: "saved"). I then clicked on the second "new" same wifi and it directly connected to my home wifi. Same happened to the 5ghz network. I then deleted the old 2 ones.
I have no idea why this happened, I only tried to get VoLTE/Wifi Call running with the magisk module. This might changed sth but I dont get the connection here since there should be no interference...
