I think all of these are made in China , the only way you can get an original is to buy a broken phone and salvage from it or order direct from Samsung Service centers

thanks xsenman. Would Samsung send me a replace for the screen if I call or write them? These chinese LCD are good for replacement?

as long as you are willing to pay their price, samsung should/would supply spare parts in their service centers ..need to quote their part number or visit them personally ...china parts will be china parts..but will never be the original as samsung would never supply parts in this manner .
on the other-hand china parts should work too

Note 3 LCD replacement question

Does a Sprint Note 3 screen work on an AT&T/T-Mobile Note 3 ? I have a friend that can replace Sprint Note 3 LCD/Digitizers on broken Sprint Note 3's and was wondering if I could replace a broken/damaged LCD from an AT&T or T-Mobile Note 3 too? TIA
I got my answer via Samsung chat:
info: Please wait for a Samsung Agent to respond.
info: You are now chatting with 'Daisy'. There will be a brief survey at the end of our chat to share feedback on my performance today.
info: Your Issue ID for this chat is LTK1125601008151X
Daisy: Hi, thank you for contacting Samsung Technical Support. How may I help you today?
david: i have a galaxy note 3 with a broken glass.
david: can you tell me if the replacement LCD for a Sprint Note 3 and a T-Mobile Note 3 are the same?
david: or are they different part numbers?
Daisy: I am sorry to know that the device glass is broken.
Daisy: I would like to inform that the LCD for the Sprint Note 3 and a T-Mobile Note 3 are the same.
Daisy: Samsung do repair the device screen and fix it.
Daisy: Samsung provides one year standard warranty for the device from the date of purchase. Unfortunately, physical or liquid damage are not covered under warranty service cost includes accordingly.
david: so then the screens for a CDMA Note 3 and a GSM Note 3 are the same?
david: if so, can you provide me with the part #?
Daisy: I will explain you David.
Daisy: Samsung does not sell any spare part and we do not recommend to replace or repair the device LCD screen.
Daisy: It may void the device functionality.
david: yes
david: i understand.
david: the work would be performed at a local repair facility
david: however I was told that the LCD for a Sprint Note 3 was different than a T-Mobile Note 3 and was provided different repair costs.
david: this is why I'm trying to see if it's in fact the same part for every different carrier variant of the Note 3.
Daisy: I would like to inform that the Note 3 model is same for all Carrier.

This helped me a lot i was looking for a replacement for my N900W8 and was confused as what to buy, now i understand if you order the LCD only it can be istalled to any note 3, however if you happen to buy it with the frame then im afraid you'll only be able to install it to that specific carrier/model you bought it for unless you also buy the usb flex AND the corresponding back cover for that frame. Thank you for this post OP

This makes alot of sense. I was wondering why there were n900A and n900T assemblies on ebay that said they weren't compatible with each other. So I guess to get the best price, it's wise to buy the frame and the lcd/digitizer seperately and just use the self adhesive on it for a quick install. I'm glad to hear the connections for the lcd will work perfectly with the main board.

Sorry if this bumps this but I found this tread via a google search so I want to set the record straight that if it part includes the frame around the glass and LCD the parts are not compatible and could have a price difference.

[Q] Need a serious help, SPH-l720

Hello XDA developers
For all who got experience and information about digitizera and screen especially for Galaxy S4
I got a SPRINT Galaxy S4 which unfortunately i cracked its screen and got confused about what is compatible and what is not in terms of cable length or any other compatible parts , fitting correctly etc..
So my question is
Does this phone requires only Sprint Galaxy s4 screen and digitizer or any common galaxy s4 screen can be replaced ?
Any further information can really help.
Please help, googled it but have not got a crystal clear answer, so i refered to XDA forums
( what i mean by screen is: digitizer + outer screen)
Special thanks for all repliers

For me, it would work if you got any US variant version of the part, I have replaced my tmobile variant screen with a at&t part, but if you cant find the US version of the part, try finding the i9505 parts, that model mirrors the US variant of the phone

I have no heard if anyone has tried with different variant parts on a sprint s4, i would recommend asking some local phone shops or doing some research on google for the answer.

Samsung Galaxy S4 - Screen looks burned, but still functional [Image Attached]

Hi there, a friend gave me this phone whose screen appears to be burnt, but still functional. I just wanted to verify if the proper fix for this is to buy an LCD replacement.
Also, I noticed that online websites that sell LCD replacements mention the carrier of the phone. That brings me to the question, do I need to purchase a replacement with the same carrier or just the same model (SGH-I337M in this case)?
Thank you.

The att version of the s4 is compatible with the i337m.
You may be better off finding a used screen because a real Samsung replacement screen is not cheap.

I read here last week or two saying all versions of note 3 have the same screen. Hence it should be able to be fixed any where. Or am I missing you point?.

thanks for the response. i thought so too, but the Samsung repair guys in Slovakia claimed they ordered a spare part LCD screen from Samsung and then told me that despite best efforts they were unable to install it as it is not the same part as for the single-SIM version.
i think the thread you are referring to is this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2780299 but it just says that a LCD between 'normal' (single SIM) versions of a Note 3 for T-Mobile and Sprint is the same.
on the other hand, i found for example this: http://www.cellphonerepairshop.com/n9000lcddigitizerblackr/ - the part description it says it fits both a N9000 (which is what I understand to be the 'standard' version) and the N9002. so, i am confused - would have expected the official Samsung guys to be the authority on what fits and what doesn't....
purely from a common sense perspective, I would have expected the part to be the same, but maybe there's the issue of a second antenna or something somehow being included in the assembly, no clue.

Right. That's the 1. If that's the case, really fussy.

Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 Motherboard Replacement

Hi All,
My Samsung S4 died recently and it does not turn on anymore. I took it to a Samsung workshop and they told me the motherboard got fried and it needs to be replaced. However, they would charge me about $300 for the repair, which of course I find it to be a total robbery. I have decided to take a step forward and repair it myself, which I found to be quite easy (I have already removed the motherboard myself). I have searched for replacement motherboards on eBay and found some in China for about $50. My questions are:
1. Is the motherboard replacement a simple "plug & play" matter or does it need to be programmed?
2. Where is the most recommended place to buy a motherboard for that model?
3. Any other watchouts/recommendations you have for me before I go ahead and buy the replacement?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Yes, the motherboard is a "plug and play" replacement. The only thing you may need to do is update it to the latest ROM.
Make sure you do not get an s4 made for mainland china, verizon, AT&T, South Korea, and Sprint.
