Hello.
I'm german. I have a account on google music (on "https://play.google.com/music"). I have upload an album.
And when i used google music pre installed on my nexus 7: no synchro! Nothing appears!
I have read your topics about google music... but i don't understand.
So please can you explain me how i must do to have synchro ...?
Thanx.
Ps: i don't want to root my nexus 7
I had the same issue but fixed it by going in to settings / apps/ running and force stopping Play. Then powered down my nexus then back on and re-launched Play and hey-presto it worked.. good luck!

Google music works ok for me on ics 0.19.
Everything works fine, actually.
Maybe you could try to clean the cache of the app music (in settings > apps)?
re 0.0019
Actually, I already cleaned the cache, but I did the factory reset and wipe app, as I did with the 0009 0.0014 0.0019 I did the music is the only application that does not work the rest is almost perfect .
all right after the factory reset .... all perfect applications including music

For whatever reason, my Nexus 7 does not show up in the "owned devices" section of the Google Play Web store.
I see my Galaxy Nexus and my Galaxy Tab 10.1, but for the past 2 days, my Nexus 7 hasn't shown up. (see attached image)
I've done the following:
- rebooted nexus 7 several times
- removed my google account from my nexus 7 and put it back
- wiped data/cache for play market app on nexus 7
- signed out and back in to google on multiple computers
Things to know:
- I am using the same Gmail account
- I have installed apps I've previously purchased on the device through the Nexus 7 Play Store
- I've purchased apps & music through the Nexus 7, been charged and everything
- It's been activated since Tuesday 6/19/12, so it's not a "give it time" thing
Here's an interesting example:
I purchased Paperland Live Wallpaper through Nexus 7. It installed on my Nexus 7. I went to the Play Store on the Web and Paperland only showed as purchased, because it only shows my two devices (Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Tab 10.1), despite being purchased/installed through Nexus 7.
Help?
Are you sure you used the same Gmail account?
Also can you remotely install apps from the Play website to your Nexus 7?

Sorry should've mentioned that...

Try this: On your Nexus 7 do a Clear Data on the Play Store app.

Did that too. Several times. No luck.
I'm having the same issue on my galaxy nexus. Any fixes?
Have you tried the following.
Log I to your play account on line. Click"my orders & settings"at the bottom of the page. On the next page click the settings tab at the top. Make sure you device is ticked to show in menus.

This happened to me as well and i tried everything you tried but without luck.
I had to make a factory reset, after that it worked.
Hope that helps.
Same here
I got my Nexus 7 last evening and I still cannot see the device in the web play store almost 20h later.
Fix that worked for me
Hey I had the same problem. It happened after I force stopped and cleared the data from the Google Services Framework in an attempt to receive the 4.1.2 update. Worked on my Gnex for 4.1, but removed my Nexus 7 from owned devices on the Play Store. Tried a bunch of things, but what ended up working was force stopping the Google Play Services app, then clearing the data. After that I launched the Play store again on my Nexus 7, then loaded the website on my laptop and low and behold, the tablet was back.
Now before this, I had done the same thing to the Play Store app itself with no luck. If the Google Play Services reset doesn't work however, maybe try it in concert with a Play Store reset as well. Hope this helps!
I had the same problem.
On my Nexus 7 I went inot the Google Play Store app
I click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner for the drop down list
I clicked on Accounts
I clicked on the Gmail account that I wanted to use (It was already selected)
I clicked the OK button
I went to the Google Play Website
And it showed up now.
I hope this helps someone.

By doing I factory reset it solved my problem! Annoying but it worked for me.
I had the same problem with a Nexus 4. Device did not show up on play website. What I tried:
- Cleared framework services data, play store data and download manager data.
- removed google account from device and reconnected it.
I read somewhere that you should go to "my orders & settings" on the play website, click on settings and change the nicknames of the "unknown devices" to something different (e.g. different numbers). When I did that, suddenly my Nexus appeared in play store. Maybe worth a try.
So liking the nexus 7 so far got a couple of questions that I can't seem to find in the manual or online
Home screen - Music is still using the default album art placeholder - although in the music app itself shows the album art correctly.
I've been into settings and apps and cleared the music app data - but its not updated the home page
Any ideas?
Also the google IO keynote where it showcased two games - dead trigger and Horn? - ive found dead trigger but cannot find the other one...
Dont know if anyone else watched it but any ideas what its called? on vid its 12.30mins in.
(cant link youtube due to age of account)
Thanks in advance for any replies
Horn is not released as of yet

Any help?
Google are enforcing regional restrictions so content providing services are automatically disabled outside the United States for legal reasons. To make sure it stays that way, they built in a half-daily check into those apps, so once a day - or whenever you restart your device - it'll automatically hide the app from the system.
As usual - blame the lawyers.
On my Moto X it stays after a reboot.
On my Nexus 7 is does not.
I didn't wait a full day to see if it will disappear from my Moto X when not rebooting. I know it does on the Nexus 7.
Since Google Music is available in Canada, why Sound Search would be still blocked anyway? And why Soundhound and Shazam aren't restricted?
Seems like a total nonsense.

There's a workaround for that
I find google sound search better than any other sound recognizing app. But since it gets blocked every reboot, install xposed framework and MODACO toolkit extension. This is the only way out of Google's control freakyness over foreigners. Of course you'll demand root.

Another solution is to use an older version of the app, such as this.
Hello guys, I wanted help with this...the thing is that I forced the update on my Nexus 7 (2013 model) by clearing the data on the Google Services Framework, It worked on the second try and I was happy because the roll out of the update was taking so long....when I finally installed the update everything was normal, except that Google Now was nowhere to be found , and just a few minutes earlier (of course on Jelly Bean) it was working wonderfully, the toggle switch is nowhere to be found, no option gives me the ability to recover it and I wanted to know if anyone can help me with this issue.
Thanks for your help guys!

Thanks for the tip, but I've done that countless times....what else could be wrong with my Nexus?

Try clearing dalvik cache & cache in recovery before installing Google search. Sometimes that helps.

Clearing data for Google Search should do the trick for you. Did you reboot after clearing data for Google Search?
Google Now is integrated into Search, so there is no reason why it should be missing from your device

I added the Google now widget to the desktop then clicked on it and it prompted me to install it from the play store. Now it's working. I am using the GEL launcher and when I swipe all the way to the left most desktop the Google Now page comes up.
