[THEME] Gingerbread UI for Milestone 2.1 (2.36.0)

Android 2.3's UI ported to my Milestone.
I only found versions for 2.2.1 und CM6. I run stock 2.1.
So:
Usable on the Milestone with Android 2.1 (2.36.0).

I tried to keep as much as possible identical to the SDK.

It should be clear how to install this...
Use Nandroid before editing system files!
Please give a note if you see any mistakes or have problems.

ovitz is right: The theme has no effect on the language.

Exactly. But first move both from sd card to another folder (e.g. /system/) and switch the permissions to rw-r--r--.
Then copy first services.jar and then framework-res.apk to /system/framework/
The device should restart itself. Otherwise do it on your own.

Hi , i know this was explained in the post above, but i am still rather confused. Could someone post as to how this theme should be applied stating all the steps ? would be greatly thankful ( i did notice the original post said that it was running stock 2.1...)

Followed these instructions to install (re: moving the files from SD to system\framework, after using Root Explorer to mount as R/W), but I'm having a real issue:
Services.jar replaces fine, but when trying to replace framework-res, the phone immediately reboots and freezes at the Motorola logo.
Thank goodness for nandroid!
Any help here guys? I'd really appreciate it. : )

It is supposed to immideately reboot after changing the framework-res.apk.
Did you change the permissions for the files, like i described?
Do you run the right version of the firmware (2.36.0)?

I really can't say for sure.
I guess it's not compatible. But I'm only guessing.

where? the other gingerbread theme in here doesnt even have a black bar, it has the sense bar

Gerade nach deiner Methode vorgegangen und nun geht praktisch nichts mehr. Direkt nach dem Verschieben der framework-res in den Systemordner ging das Display aus bzw. zeigte nichts mehr an und bleibt beim Reboot beim M hängen. :-(

Its not place holder ! The DEV of this ROM (TW5.5) and the earlier ROM (TW5) are the same ! ......You cannot REPORT FOR NO REASON !

you can't trade mark obvious names of roms :/
if this was so then u NEED! to sue over 1000 roms on different phone and roms sections
also as u use other peoples work u cant trademark something on your behalf

Hi everybody, I'm new here in s7 edge discussion, but I tried to find something to become the caller picture bigger. I don't know why samsung didn't get this feature for free. Anyway to change the incall.ui? All that white screen..pretty annoying

Your callui size of picture was smaller
after installing callui from ufo71 size is full.
In my opinion is two different mods.

[Q]* Where is my soundenhanchement in system/app ?
[A]* Extract the soundenanchement folder and set permission on the folder with:

and on the soundenanchement.apk

All works good here and no sound is not low and also not to high and did you installed any other soundmod or player ? Sound effects works on my xz2 and remember this is just a 1st release.

I flashed it, and i lost my audio settings. It just disappeared from the menu.
I tried then to delete the oat file , but sadly no joy.
Any idea?

Tavil is from pie and not tasha anymore, i checked it

Oke and yes you need to push the entire folder with the apk if you dont have soundenhancement and no not to flash it again, see attachment for example
