just got some minor issues with rom, but anyhow I wont release this before I have the official Norwegian rom to base it on (I did a translation of the spanish one, I DO notice diffrence with the official rom)

The up/down and camera buttons are missing on photo page.
They need to remain in original blue (until someone finds a way to change their color without making them disappear).

I downloaded the norwegian .mui's and copied them over to \\windows together with manila2d.exe and now I only get "bank her for å starte touchflo" and when I tap it it says starting touchflo for 2 secs and then gets back. when i try to start manila2d.exe I get the message "Kan ikke åpne... Enten er den ikke signert med et klarert sertifikat, eller.....bla bla" so I suspect that file is the problem
I have a p3470 (pharos) whith stock wm6 norwegian rom.
What's wrong?

I assume you did a soft reset?
the norwegian files works great for me, but I have not tested the way you did it, I cooked them into my rom.

I have done a soft reset, but that doesn't help. I haven't done a cid unluck or hard spl (kinda newbie - doesn't quite understand what this is...) Could it be that my phone needs some kind of unlocking to be able to run unsigned programs or something?
Skinnet er veldig stilig da - glimrende arbeid. Skulle bare fått det til å virke på min fon...

any word on when the official wm6.1update rom in norwegian will be released? dont want to nag on you, but damn! cant wait to get this rom!!
and btw, does this rom have the same bugs at uDK's manilla 2d rom has?

(req) framework-res.apk's collection for status bar

hi guys,
i've been searching around about how to change status bar but for the life of me i couldn't figure out how to do it on my hd2. the steps seem "alien" to me. so, if anyone has a set of framework-res please share it here. or maybe if someone's got a guide for changing android hd2's status bar it'd be swell, too. i particularly want to have the status bar from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=699497.

Im using this MDJ FroYou DHD android ROM, and it should work with all DHD ROM's.

framework-res.apk
I have had good luck simply copying and pasting what I want in the framework-res.apk file, at least for MDJ FroyoHD 4.6
if you rename the file to framework-res.zip, you can open it with something like winrar. For the Desire HD framework-res.apk and the Gingerbread framework-res.apk (I assume all of them probably), there's a folder called res. (location: framework-res.apk/res) Inside that there's a folder called anim. framework-res.zip/res/anim. These are the animations for transitions, etc. I've been able to copy and paste them freely and haven't messed anything up yet. There's also a folder called drawable-hdpi. (location: framework-res.zip/res/drawable-hdpi) This is where all the icons/battery status, signal status graphics are stored. They're all .png files and I've used photoshop to alter them.
I wouldn't recommend extracting the file and then re-zipping it. It has to be signed and I guess it won't work otherwise.
UOT kitchen is an excellent and wonderful tool also. Lots of neat stuff you can do with that. It's not just for DHD builds. Reportedly works with Darkstone's SuperRAM.

I think you could take the framework-res.apk from whatever build you have, and copy and paste whatever it is you want in there. I've been compling stuff from about 3 or 4 of them into one to get it where I want it.

TouchWiz in landscape view

hey.. lastnight when i closed vignette,touchwiz went into landscape mode..!! but just for only 2-3 secs.. today in the morning i ws playin raging thunder 2 and when i exit.. TW turns in landscape mode agn for 2-3 secs..!!
is it pssbl to enable landscape view on TW..?? i thght this ws impssbl.. but nw i m thinkin may b its pssbl.. i m nt a android developer..!! that's y i m askin seniors..
NB: i5830 is coming wid TW which spprts landscape view..!!

I've had the same bug. Probably because it's a portage from i5510's launcher. You should try to modify it.. (i'm not using TouchWizLauncher so..)

You can use SGS Tools to install the modded one. It works (I tested it)

You can try TouchwizGTG. It works but that homescreen overview is too big. Supports landscape mode and there's 4 difference versions available. Here's link.

Ok I have two files now: touchwiz30launcher.apk and touchwiz30launcher.odex. In my system/app directory is nothing about the touchwiz launcher. If I copy and paste the two files to the directory, nothing happens. Also changing the permissions don't work. (i can change them but theres no sign of the launcher if I press the home button) I saw a difference in the properties between touchwiz30launcher.apk and for example the calculator: in the launcher the owner was 'system' and the group was 'sdcard_rw'. In the calculator were they both 'root'. How can I change the owner and the group, or is there another way to make this touchwiz work?

I use the stock firmware bojpc.
But with anyone else there was a apk and an odex file also. I copied those two files in my system/app folder. But i'll try to delete the odex file...
Edit: I deleted the odex file but no result... But, if you have, for example, an htc, and you want for any strange reason touchwiz. How would you do that?

Its very easy to do landscape MOD...jus decompile touchwiz !!

find "nosensor" and replace wid "user" !!!

First of all, this is NO Kernel! Its only a Script and is working with CF-Root or CM7. Not with Stock Kernel
I build a new Ram Script for a better performance and multitasking. It will be included in our new BlockBusterRom goeas Ace, too, this is a first taste of how fast it will be Working perfect for me
Installation:
- Script is for all Samsung Roms and CM7 Roms, too
- You must use a Custom Kernel or a kernel that supports init.d scripts (like CF-Root)
- Download the attached .zip called s95allinonescript_flashable.zip, put it to your sd-card and flash it in CMW
- If this don´t work and in CWM error 0 appears download s95allinone.zip, extract it and use RootExplorer to put it in /system/etc/init.d/
- You can delete all existing files in this folder, i included in this script every other and combined them to a "superscript"
- Reboot and it´s working

I used some parts of Juwe11´s RamScript, but I changed every value of this part. Including a Copyright Team BlockBuster Script for zipalign apps to work faster, it´s tested and modified for Galaxy Ace but should work on others, too. Multitasking is working perfect, opening apps sometimes a bit slow, but i´m going to change some values and update the Script if it´s faster

I should include some parts for a better Touchscreen support

Nice, works perfect on CyanogenMod from Grif. But the CWM package don't works, using the Root Explorer method.

Same for me, using RE method. Phone is booting, soon i'll take the SS's.
First boot, 159MB free. Let's see by the end of the day

Request : How to translate chinese roms from bbs.gfan into english?

Dear Devs,
Can someone please guide me through how i can deodex and translate the chinese roms from bbs gfan? I tried using softwares like FulmicsDeodexer , ASSAYYED'S kitchen etc to deodex the rom but without luck.
Also, i tried using apktool for decompiling the systemUi.apk and ROM control to translate into english but after recompiling the apk doesnt seem to install.
I would be grateful for your small help and guidance.

Rom control needs to be recompiled with new sign
Can not sign systemUI in oreo. Open both original & modified systemUIs with winrar or 7-zip. Drag & drop res, resources.arsc, class.dex, class2.dex folders from new one to old one
Change csc (omc). Add gapps

I have worked on samsung roms, rebuild chinese roms. Yep, Norma rom. Translate some xml files in res\values. Then recompile it with new sign
As for as systemUI, recompile with old sign then drag & drop as i said above. Hope all works as before :laugh: I stopped working on Norma rom

@Ouweshs28 I did try that but didnt work for me... Dragging and dropping from modified systemui into original didnot work at all. Am i missing something?

Can hide it in rom control. Or replace dateview.smali by the international one. Or modify lunars.smali (lunar.smali)

i want to add language to rom that not support this language
i found an article that says: in system folder of the rom decompile "framework-res.apk" and after that translate some xml files pack it back to zip and flash it the problem is i didn't find the stock rom so i downloaded twrp backup file and extract it to similar format like a rom i do it all. my question is if i will pack it back(after modified) and try to flash it it will work?
