Uhh... you do realize that the Nexus S is still a Galaxy S phone don't you. Many of the devs that are making these terrific roms for the vibrant have already started working on Nexus S roms as well.
I am sure that they will still see you around the forums brother!
See you there, about to go trade mines with my friend in an hour
First the developers left and now users too ;(
Good luck with nexus S

I been trying to sell my phone for months. I sold it on eBay and the person did not paid me so I ended keeping it. I was going to go with the mytouch 4g or nexus s.

I am holding out for the S2
Hi all
I just got my nexus s today. I picked it up from the marketplace from someone selling it. It is an awesome phone so far. It is super fast as compared to my old G1 from HTC.
Definitely going to have a bunch of questions about my phone.
Thanks all

I am pretty new to the Nexus S. Basically going on 2 weeks with it now.
Welcome to the nexus S Its a good phone. I lucked out someone wanted the Samsung Focus and was willing to trade for the Nexus S. The part I wasn't expecting is that I met the guy at the Fido store and he handed me the phone BNIB still sealed.
Welcome!

For those coming from eclair or lower. Becareful with the market auto restore. I never used it on my Epic but decided to give it a try on this phone a few times. The feature itself works mostly fine but the problem is if you have a ton of apps it could be a solid 15-20 minutes or longer (not on wifi) of straight downloading and apps installing one after another. That means your CPU will be mostly pegged at 1ghz the entire duration, which generates a lot of heat. If your phone is on charge during this it just adds to the heat build up. Yesterday on 4g it took roughly 15 minutes for this process to complete and by the time it was done my battery was at scorching 47c. Not cool.
Suggest to turn it off in settings /privacy, grab titanium backup and learn to use it.

Would like to say a Thank you to all the Devs and members of this HD2 section for there support and many many Roms.
Had fun playing with them all
But Alas after 2.5 years i have gone the upgrade route and now have a S3 so will wonder over to there.
HD2 still works but going to be shoved on Ebay to offset some of the cost of the S3
So as they said "So long and thanks for all the Roms (Fish)"
i'm sure you are gonna miss this legendary device

Recently went to a yard sale and found a Nexus S for sale $5 Guy said his kid messed it up that it didn't turn on. I thought to my self what the heck and bought it when I got home I went on XDA. It was a simple thing all I had to do was access boot screen and do a reset. Working great..
But now i have a question to any who read this. Now so far all I know is that is Sprint Nexus S but I see there is also a 4g I know its a dumb question but where would I find it. Now my new mission for the week is finding out before I start flashing Roms. So far I have a Galaxy 2, a Nexus S, hopefully soon Galaxy 4 and the phone that started my addition Galaxy S Captivate.
Any one have any good ROM,apps, and kernal recommendations would appreciate.

Why don't you go into system settings, about phone will tell you the phone model. I doubt flashing wrong one will jack it up though, just wont boot. The ns4g is CDMA network and ns is gsm, other than that very similar.

Well guys I just wanted to get in my quick goodbye and thank you. After having a shattered screen on my N7000 for a couple months I decided it was finally time to let go. Today I got myself an at&t Galaxy S 4 and while it wasnt my first choice the luxury of a carrier unbranded device isnt an option for me at the moment. I just wanted to bid farewell personally to each and every one of you guys for the two years I spent in these forums. The community here is fantastic and if the I337 section is half as awesome, I shall be a very happy man. I know I havent been around a lot recently but I hope my time here was appreciated even the smallest amount. I also hope you guys appreciate me staying on this s****y touchjizz rom long enough to write this anyways best of luck to you all, I won't mention any names but there are several of you who I have immense respect for and who made my stay in the N7000 section and more specifically, The Asylum, as pleasurable as it was. Thank you again guys and girls. Huge love to all of you!
Mods, feel free to close the thread if you see fit, I just wished to express my grattitude

Enjoy your new phone have phun
Thanks guys. I still have a spare piece of glass lying around for my n7000 so I'm thinking about trying to replace just that. Last time I tried it didn't work out so well and had to buy a new LCD and digitizer but I learned a lot from it. I'll see what I can do and I'll take pictures along the way so if it works I'll let you know how I went about it
