I don't own an Eris, so please test, logcat, feedback, and hit thanks
This is a port from the CM10 nightlys which are being built by shelnutt2 for the hero cdma.
This rom uses Aroma installer in order to make it boot on the following devices; HTC Droid Eris, HTC hero GSM and HTC hero CDMA. It was originally created by whoshotjr2006 and then tweaked and maintained by me, all thanks goes to him!

Could you give me a logcat please
OK, so I redownloaded the ROM and tried again, same thing. I let it sit on the boot animation overnight and this morning it had actually moved past it and tried to boot. It only gets to a black screen with errors like unfortunately com.process.phone has stopped working and some others. I tried to pull a logcat but it isn't booted far enough along to have loaded the adb server. ie adb cant find a device. I tried rebooting into recovery and running logcat but it says there are none found. I don't do logcats very often so I'm not sure where else to try and get it. Suggestions?

Ye I can't logcat on the hero, will fix tonight
New version is uploading, should fix booting problems
V2 doesn't get past the boot screen (Androids on skateboards.) It's also about 20mb smaller, is it still uploading maybe?

Might have uploaded the wrong version, will correct it over the weekend.
For a well functioning CM10 rom, if I were you I'd wait till Monday, the person building the nightlys (shelnutt2) is fixing a lot of things on Sunday such as the camera, fingers crossed
Thanks for the heads up. I have no problem waiting. I just started learning how to theme so maybe I can stay focused instead of playing with my Eris.

I think ill ask kemoba for help, he managed to get it to boot before

Right so it still doesn't boot, same problems, will revert to the old boot.img tonight made by the hero cdma community, that's how it booted before. fingers crossed (again).

I'd probably stick with 1.9.16 because there were issues with 9.23. I upgraded via miui updater and was stuck at boot. I've heard a lot of people having the same issue.

1.9.23 had such boot-looping problems that is was pulled, to be re-released a few days later. I'm running 1.9.30 and see no problems with it at all.

There were issues with .23 and he wasn't sure if there were issues with .30 as well. Version .23 has problems with displaying widgets and rebooting as far as I know.

Certain theme I'm want that does work with anything past 9.16. Lol. That's the only reason.

How did you install 9.30? Manually or through updater? Some themes need to be updated to be compatible with the latest build. You should get prompted though, at least i did.
If you did it manually, what did you wipe?

I just wipe dev cache and cache. I didn't do data. Cause I didn't have to do it last time. But yesterday my theme manager was working fine but today its force closing everytime.

Same with me. However I was able to get into cwm and flash a Talon kernel and that let me boot. Makes me wonder if a kernel was included in this rom or not cause my cwm was the same Samurai kernel.

after flashing 9000 bootloaders, i was able to complete the install but it just bootloops at gt-i9000 screen
I have it up and running. I was boot looping but I managed to get to recovery and flash a new kernel. try that.

You should try replaacing the kernel with a novoo XCAL kernel that matches your framework. That will fix the bootlooping problem.

Were you able to port 5.2 as well. It's by far the smoothest rom I've ever used on the Captivate.

i have been trying to build a custom rom for my phone usually i am able to pass installation phase in recovery mainly on sense base rom(i think it pure luck) but always have problem when rom boots up and start up phase come.
But now i was trying to add my own flavor to miui rom but always end up with this massage :- EEROR 6
can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong and solution to remove this error???????

Error 6 is a tough one. Its probably your updater-script. One single out of place character or space and you will get an error 6. Did you edit the updater-script after ROM kitchen generated it?

I started again from scratch
I did not make much changes this time just added some apps, new themes, bootanimation and boot audio
I am still a noob and learning thanks for help
Error 6 problem was because I think I replace updater -script with update - script when creating the update.zip

Download 1.0.1 that is the main rom, then flash the second file in the 1st post then if satisfactory please say and then u can flash the 1.1.7 that's an OTA

Hi Globbyglob, i have been trying hard to download your ROM. But each time after 9.8KB the ROM doesn't get downloaded.
can you just upload your ROM to a better server, even to 4shared if you wish...

Downloading and backup up my current ROM. Will try.

Tried twice, after wipe (both times) first try I installed the the VISIONFLASHFIRST (did this change my version of ext4?), flashed ROM (RandomROMv101.zip) and OTA (OTARandomROMDesireHD1222.zip) rebooted and waited > 45min and stuck on htc One white screen. Second try I wiped and only flashed the ROM and same results.
My options was the sms on lock screen, and I selected (which I guess does not remove) all apps that didn't start with HTC.
Also adb devices shows no device so I was unable to get a logcat for you.
Going back to old rom.

You have to flash the RandomROM v1.0.1
Thats the main rom. Not the OTAs..

I did flash the 1.0.1 rom both times. One time I only did that zip and the other I flashed both the ROM and the OTA. both hung on boot.

I've had CM10 on all my devices. Love it.
Isn't there an app that will grab logcats? As far as dmesg's, I have no idea. I'm sure I can figure it out.

If you can use adb then you can grab logcats and dmesg, I can walk you through that.
Here's a test build I made earlier this week. Please only flash if you understand the risks and have a means to go back, so make a backup in twrp or cwm first.

not sure, I'm hoping radio is working but haven't found anyone to flash it yet. You could easily revert to a backup if it doesn't if you are willing to try

Same here, stuck on CM boot logo. I waited 15 minutes. Made dinner. Came back. Still stuck.
I did a clean wipe as well.

ok cm logo is better than samsung logo! Did you wipe data after flashing?
The CM logo will be stretched at first but will return to normal after, it does this on the n5100 and 5110.

Yes... pc does not see the device at all.. device hangs before pc can recognize it.

Still working on it, hard to diagnose since it doesn't boot far enough to give adb access.

Making some changes and building against cm11.0, I'll have a build up shortly.
