Yes it does work on lg gt540 but probably not on jb or ics only on gb
people wrote that it works on pcf 2.3 so you can try it on tejas build 3
ask moderator to move this thread to lg gt540 apps forum
GTA 3 should work on all roms with kernel .32 and above, it won't work on .29 kernel based roms.

whenever i opened it i got a FC.

But for gaming ginger bread is always better

True also those ics devices are probably armv7 devices and gt540 is armv6

It should work on the 2.2.1 ROMs.
About flash player it was said many times it don't work due to hardware dependencies (processor)

it works on 2.2.1 , about week ago i`ve played final fantasy 7 on FPse
Flash player works on x8...flash lite.... Using sense ui rom...ive tested it and it works...the problem with sense ui rom of racth, it doesnt have signal...you can use its wifi

latest releases of FPse are supposed to work on android 2.1.
flash - as others said.
n64oid - won't work, you can install it on 2.3, but it doesn't load any roms, gets fc. there were some ppl reporting that they're managed to run it on armv6 devices like x10mini - but it's not confirmed by any video, so i personally don't belive it (pics or it didnt happen ). but if thats true, then afaik x10mini has like 1,5x more RAM, so that might be the case.
the best rom? minicm, if you want everything to work, floyo if you wan't better performance

flash player-not realy posible becoase arm6....(procesor)---->but you can buy/find for free or somehow get puffin browser i here a lot of good replyes it si i think 0.88$ on market

Flash player now works fully. (10.2) Check this thread:

Note that Opera _Mobile_ does not recognize that flash has been installed on phone, but with stock browser it's good (I haven't tested more browsers though)

Yes it works. tested with mirien and dolphin browser. be sure to uninstall flash lite first though.

Hi any one having trouble with launching apps on cm9 v2 for x8 i can't launch any at all not evan any stock cm9 apps. Ive got nAa kernal did full wipes and still won't work anyone else having the same trouble or have any solution. Im new here so can't post on the maine thread.

Well, for me it:
Freezes then reboots my phone, so, looks like we gonna have to make changes, OR the dev pulls his act together and realises that his ap isnt compatible with a very popular ROM

not all apps support ICS (for now)
even many of them not support official ICS..
app devs maybe on the progress go to that..
ex: 2weeks ago quick pic not support ICS.. a couple day ago,,quickpic rel a new version that support ICS..
maybe you have to be more patient
bout ur ics gapps not work,,try the newest gapps..
or maybe u have to increase ur proc OC.. ICS need more resources than gb..
that's happen to me first time i use cm9,,always not responding..
but now its all ok..
just gallery n maps that sometimes only show black (blank)..

*sigh* read one of the billions of threads asking exactly the same question.
Currently the best ROM for gaming is any of the ICS ROMs with HWA. I haven't used them but everyone reports that those can play GTA3 flawlessly.

I've been using xylo's aokp Hwa rom for a couple of days and i am really surprised how fast it is..because auf the hardware acceleration .

Flashed NexusHD2 last night and it is buttery smooth, no issues whatsoever here
I've tried tytung's Rom a few months ago...without the new hwa feature..and it was quite good. tytung gives a good support so I think that all the little bugs are quickly fixed.
Search the thread for bugs and if they don't bother you..just flash it.
I think no rom is without bugs
Any ICS rom with HWA its better then all GB roms for games.

no.
CM9 is the closest ICS-based rom for SGY,
it is unstable and unusable for daily use
use search function,
and look for current developments in the development section
CM9 by WhiteXp is still Unstable! Generally people theme their ROM to look like the Firmware they Like.....
Note - these are not ics 4.0 rom
u can use nemesis rom , hyperion 8 rom which is jellybean styled rom..bt nemesis rom fully jellybean themed rom but its lag lil becoz of its launcher u can remove its launcher...it will be smooth..:laugh:
No you can't, at least that's what I heard till now...
But you can try Custom ROMs and flash an ICS Theme to it. Like Repencis v3.5 ROM, and this is for the ICS Theme
Well, you can't upgrade the mobile to android 4.0. CM9 is very unstable, and that really the only rom which has the features of ics. Roms such as jellyblast don't work.

You can also try ICS_fusion by hell_lock.
It gives ICS like experience.
Generally THD games require JB+,but some might work on GB.
Just try using cf3D plugins.
Just edit your build.prop if u want to play ICS games.

And devs correct me if I am wrong.
But won't editing the arm v6 to arm v7 put your device in risk of overload? I mean, armv7 requires a floating point calculations, right?

definetly impossible,
armv7 is a CPU architecture which means it has to be configured to the diodes in the chip itself,
even with instruction coding it will not work
you can't make armv6 to armv7 via software code,
same thing as pasting 2 pentium 4 cores does not make it a dual core

The type of GPU you use is not software its hardware.

Better do not test this. I try this on another device not compatible with this and i remember that I had to then restore ROM because the phone doesn't turn on.
