am openning a poll for your experience which custom rom you find best ever .. please also mention version .. so other also try as per your experience :-
sorry if i miss some rom , if some one want to add his rom in poll i`ll request respected MODS to readd that option and respected MODS are free to add any option which they think their self its miss

+1 .. From my side ROMeOS4 is the best I have used and have tried a lot of ROMs.

i am sorry but the ftp guy upload it on HD2 roms folder
i get most roms from there

You're right, indroid is a Fantastic, Fast and Super Stable ROM i loved it from the first time I flashed it
But this thread should be closed because there are already a lot of threads like this and its starting to annoy me a little because I've to answer always indroid
And every person have a different opinion every rom is in some place better/worse than the other just flash en see for yourself and maybe you'll find the perfect rom

erm i really thought this was needed for many new i9001 owners to decide thie custom rom ! where should dis post go as i dont see any dedicated i9001 forum !

yeah. I do agree with you. Just add it to i9000 general section with topic starting with[9001]...as we are not having our own section .

i think 1ce a poll q thread is created only a mod can edit poll options/delete poll/or move it to the right forum ! so any guidance on how to go about would be appreciated

I'm also new but never needed an extra thread. It's a matter of taste which rom fits best to you and there isn't much difference between those custom roms cause every custom rom apart from cm9 is build on stock rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=657 should be the correct place.
Of course I would appreciate an own section for the I9001 but I think this won't happen.

Stupid thread.... Everybody knows how to read the features of any ROM and make decision themselves. All the ROMs that stay on front page for months are obviously the most popular ones.

Broodrom rc5 is best till now
But soon cyanogenmod 9 will overtake it.....

Bro there are many people who are new to custom roms and may be want to try out a for the first time ! So it may be a good place for people to see the poll and then chek out the resp rom thread !

Just visit android development section. You got to search, read, understand, download, flash and try it yourself. Don't get offended. That question is not allowed here.

It will be great. But i searched for porting guides and couldn't find anything. Later im gonna pm few slim devs for guides hope they will answer

You could try to ask psykunno, he said he would build either AOSPA, Slim or other rom.
