I have flash player installed, but after adobe updates flash player and websites start using newer versions, will the older versions on android stop working? I'm thinking when web developers update websites with newer version of flash we will probably not be able to view the flash content without updating to newer version. If I'm right about what i think than its a waste to install flash because they release updates fast. I don't know if I'm right or wrong so what do you all think?

shook187 was making a joke. No Apple devices support flash. If I remember right, it's because Apple and Adobe (or Steve Jobs and Adobe) had some disagreements a while back.

Yep no flash on Apple Devices, and never had. It is not really worth of it anyway

after doing what I would now consider (dumb as ****) OTA updates....what would you all recommend i do as far as unlock...root...and rom? or if i stay stock no updates.......what would you do?
4.2 is as fast as any of the 4.1.2 custom roms / kernels that i have run in the past and i have tried most of them, i am currently running stock rom rooted with lean kernel which is a nice combination until some custom roms come out
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using xda app-developers app
It all depends on what you plan to do with it. Personally, I require root because of otg+host mode charging, among many other reasons. Each person is different in what they want and or require. You could use the first to experiment with different things and leave the new one stock till you find a configuration you like. Good luck!

Would recommend just keeping stock until more 4.2 Roms become available, or flash the rooted 4.2 stock image that was released.

I would love to see multi user on the nexus 4..I think it wouldn't be hard since it's already in 4.2... think it would make sense for doing different setups like different launcher, icon packs, theme etc..I wonder if it's just a line or lines of code to turn it on and/ or is any body up for the challenge!!?

Multi-user support is only available on tablets. Nokia has a patent on multi-user support on phones.
I am sure a build.prop edit can fix it.

Well its only for tablets, I think the reason for that being tablets are more family and sharing, whereas phones are a personal device. Why would you want to share your phone?

This is the only reason I would need it, but it is a good one. If my 5 year old wants to watch a movie or play a game I wouldn't have to worry about her screwing up my home screen or deleting apps like she has been known to do.

I'd still take that with a good dose of skepticism. Editing the build.prop to show a different version isn't especially challenging and the release alphanumeric that's made the round online is not consistent with what Google actually uses. Likewise, if you browse that site, they don't exactly have the best track record vetting rumors for accuracy.

It's Android, it runs on everything. Some things maybe slower than others, but it runs, hence the Nexus One (512MB ram, can run 4.2)
I'm just trying to say that it might be sluggish.

I doubt it. They would discontinue the updates for the N7 before they would purposely release a new update that makes the device seem slow.

The last that I saw on it was that it was not exactly playing well with 4.2.2. It has a nasty habit of breaking other apps, causing users to give them poor reviews in the play store. As such, the Android team has justifiably threatened to ban roms that use Cornerstone from the play store.
