why?
It is possible it works on jelly bean just fine. I use it now on my gnex. Helps with memory management and improves battery because the system isn't using so many resources.

if its reloading, you have an issue somewhere. the seven has enough ram for that not to happen. are you using the stock launcher or replacement? ive never seen my homecreens reload on the n7.

oh, i know what it does. and its nice with low end devices with very limited ram. my why was meant as why is it needed. if it is needed, its probably a symptom of something else(thats what im trying to figure out )

Yeah, it's a symptom of misplaced priorities.
Compare to money management.
You can make lots of money, but it will just take you longer to go broke if you spend too much.
Lots of ram can hide memory management problems when you don't have much stuff installed.
But spend too much, or install a bunch of apps, and it's the same old song and dance.

while in theory, i completely agree with you. except that i have a lot of apps and games installed, a lot. yet ive never seen the home screen reload on the seven. at any given point, i have between 550mb-650mb free ram. if the op is seeing his home screen reload, then there is a problem somewhere. where that is i dont know. it can be the ops sloppy memory management, a badly written app(s), his kernel/rom.. personally, i think that it would be better to find and solve the problem.
Well, I know for a fact that it isn't only the OP.
A Nexus 7 user who regularly posts in the SuperCharger thread reported that there is always a redraw/lag thread in whatever N7 forum he visits.
Be it Rootzwiki or wherever.
SGS III is no slouch either... and yet... users still report lag/redraw and of course, SuperCharge that beast.
Fact is, the more ram that a device has, the more it can afford to SuperCharge with a BulletProof launcher.
Lock it in and forget about it

i believe that apex has an option to set the launcher into memory.
one of my friends made me a screenshot of apexs' settings, heres the option..

Yeah the keep in memory option sets the launcher's adj to 2 but since all other priorities/adjs of the other app groupings (perceptible, visible, hidden, etc) remain unchanged, it's still less important than alot of those other apps.
SuperCharger would make it adj 0, 1, or 2 but because of the other changes adj changes, the launcher's importance is much higher (even if supercharged with adj 2/hard to kill ie. adj 2 when supercharged is stronger than adj 2 with stock adj priorites)
It's all about relative importance of one app type (home) to other app types and not solely about it's adj value.
Interestingly enough, if you're supercharged with die-hard launcher (home's adj=1) and you enable apex's keep home in memory option, it makes it weaker with adj 2 so you can actually make it more killable on the fly by enabling it.

Yeah exactly. I have Apex's option enabled. It works half the time but not all. So how do it get V6 supercharger working on the n7?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
If on ICS or JB, just follow post 2 of the supercharger thread and use the Jelly I Scream windows exe for patching services.jar - It does it all via adb - pull services.jar, patches it, installs the new one.
Its designed for GB as that had aggressive RAM management

That's like saying today's cars are made for dirt roads and paths - since there weren't paved roads when the horseless carriage (ie. car) was first invented.
Basics are still the same tho - 4 wheels and a motor vs. low priority launcher with lag & redraw.
Some things never change... and both enjoy SuperCharging lol

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum, and yet i already see countless posts of people asking how could they make their phone faster, what is the best rom and such...
This thread is for those who would wanna speed up their phone by sticking to stock, those who want to change a bit of here and there yet still want stock, noobies who are afraid of flashing kernel or roms and alike.(I'm a noobies myself, so this should't be a problem to everyone else)
Remember that I take no credits in all of the tweaks, but feeling the need to compile it all together so that it could make it easy for others, please say thanks to developer who created all this in the very first place and donate to them if possible.
And always read the OP carefully...
By this point, I'm assuming your phone is rooted with xrecovery enable, and if not,go here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343
Now that you have stock,I know it is killing you because it is so laggy.
First thing I would suggest you to do is transfer whatever app you can to sd card(keep in mind that any apps with active widget most likely will not be working if this is done)......unless you have Link2sd installed or won't mind installing another app(big thanks to Gregbradley)
Secondly,Install Titanium Backup, you can get it from the market, and start deleting/uninstall apps that come with stock that you think useless, see thread below for what apps is safe to uninstall....and then start considering whether these apps worth being there or not....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193004
After done with all that, now apply FPS uncapped by zdzihu via xrecovery,
link below,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192867
By this point, you will already notice huge smoothness with the phone, almost as if you bought a new one
There is also another tweak by zdzihu that i recommend such as Bravia Engine.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193274&page=3
Now that your phone is so smooth, you will probably fancy all the status switch that comes with custom rom,and you don't have in stock, and you feel uneasy...don't worry because it is here, with stock look!
Head to link below...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1293738
Last but not least, stock battery on our notification window is not so useful(if not useless)...Circle battery bar looks good and yet useful, here is the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1194266
along the journey,I notice that after applying fps uncap,my phone works beautifully, but there is one flaw, which, during charging, when i flick between home screen(but not happening when the battery is fully charge),it will move funny(maybe this is just me),however, when I flash the Circle battery mod,it is gone,so instead of my battery sign looks good,it is also accidently fix the funny flick during charging.....
All the tweaks applied above work beautifully with each other,(I'm using it right now for quite a while and no issues at all!),somehow, I held no responsibility if you brick your phone(seriously,I doubt this can happen).
And now download your favorite launcher and start making it look the way you want it.Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, and do not hesitate to ask me if there is anything arise and I will help where I can...
Here is mine

Quadrant score,
Battery Perfomance(mine with very moderate usage)
Good Luck all and have nice a day...
If you use link2sd you can move all apps to the sd card and still use widgets on the homescreen. Its far better than just using the native move to sd.
Just flash this to get it working
http://www.mediafire.com/?7w9v9eptjcieh
Secondly, if you use the grey circle battery mod, dont forget that has been cooked using wolfs framework-res.apk. Very similar to stock but not 100% stock so there "may" be other UI differences and glitches. (I know you said you are using it fine, but its optimised for stock rom, far better to cook your own at http://uot.dakra.lt/)

read the link about it,
Basicaly stock x10 has the frames per second (fps) capped at 33.
This tweak gets rid of that cap. All custom roms use it (I think, I cant beleive anyone wouldnt put it in a custom rom)

GO Launcher is a rather "heavy" app and, take my word for it, not "well-written". BUT it mostly performs very well and it's the most good-looking and customisable option available. I use it on both my X10 and my Arc and I wouldn't change it for any other atm.

Depends very much on the amount of widgets you use.
I use only 3 widgets and GO takes up 9,4 MB of RAM. Battery Stats has it most of the time at around 5th place in CPU Process counter, which is acceptable for me.

I have 7 active widgets running 24/7,and I don't have battery stats to measure mine, but it's usage doesn't even get in the list of battery consumption(unless I'm looking at it wrongly)
And along with this,a proof of my phone will last for 2 days on moderate use with this tweaks(it is not yet 2 days, but not even 50% used for almost one full day)
@op wonderful and simple guide to improving stock without changing Rom. I would love to see experienced members expand on this so as we could also have some simple add-ons (eg, I always flash Doomlords battery charge icon zip on stock roms)
Also would be excellent to have a basic improved build.prop and a handful of basic initd scripts.

fair question Greg,
The point is perhaps that some users would like to stay with stock and just tinker with tweaks. If people wish to flash a custom ROM that is fine, but as the OP suggests this is to "clean-up" a stock ROM.
Also, copying tweaks from a ROM does not mean they will work, often tweaks are built between a number of files (install recovery.sh/build.prop/innitD) and newer users are not sure on how to create scripts that will work/execute properly. **
My suggestion is that experienced users suggest which scripts to use (supercharger/loopysmoothness/etc) and how to apply then so that they run correctly (lines needed to be added to build, permissions on script/file/whatever!)
** I certainly struggle with the amount of information out there!

I agree, but where do you draw the line. Someone will be happy with complete stock. SOmeone else will say that stock with fps uncap is perfect for them, others will want to implememt OC/UC/UV as well to make it perfect for them, others will want to use link2sd, so will need the tweak for that, others will want....always others will want....
as soon as you start to tweak you are personalising. The great thing about android is you can personalise...in order to personalise you need to read up in aforum (Like this one) to see what is avaialble...but ineviatabley, someone will put all those tweaks into a rom...its far easier for noobs to flash a custom rom than to try and implement twaeks themselves, especially when a lot of tweaks mess with framework and systemui, so themes get messed with....
My best advice is to use custom roms, find what you like, then if there is anything you dont like, learn how to get rid, or if there is something you want extra, kindly ask the dev, or learn how to do it yourself.
I am a great believer in people learning for themselves...otherwise you might as well have an iphone....

Hi,
You might've noticed that your s3 using nearly 90% of your phones RAM(600-700 MB of 779MB)
The Thing is there are many unwanted processes and tasks running without your knowledge.
So heres a way to make your phone free up to 200 MB of RAM
Go to SETTINGS->Developer options
->Force GPU rendering- Default is off..Just tick it.
Window animation scale and transition animation scale (default is 0.5x) Turn it off
Here comes the most impt. one
Limit background processes to no background processes
Restart your phone and look at the RAM tab on your task manager..It will be significantly less than before..Mine was up to 390 MB when freed.
Enjoy,

Hi,
LOL with the no background processes... cool you have more free ram and... what about the multitasking???
In the maintime tick "don't keep activities" and you will have the exact opposite of the point of Android is made:multitasking!
All the apps and processus are killed when you quit an app and when you re-open it, it takes the same time as if it was the first time you open it... aaaahhh... but yes you have 400 mo of free ram...COUNTERPRODUCTIVE!
Useless tip in my opinion. What is the point to have 400 mo of free ram???
I have always about 200 mo of free ram and my phone is just as fast as I have 480 mo of free ram after a reboot...
Just my apps that I use oppens faster when I have "only" (for you) 200 mo of free ram...
My SIII never slowdown or have lags or anything like that with less ram. Keep Android manage his own ram!!! And if you notice some lags after 3 or 4 days of use, just a reboot or long press home/task manager/ram/clear memory (or something like that, French language) and you're good.
But if you are happy with this... I think you don't know how to use your phone with efficiency.

Gpu rendering uses more ram because of opengl requires more overhead.
It will free up cpu power, but can cause side effects on some apps (mostly older).
Newer apps use to have gpu rendering on by default.

It's like using a task manager. Useless on Android.
Android has its own RAM management. If there isn't enough RAM, it just kill the cached or not used processes.
My S3 is extremly fast without doing anything. Even with Stock it was extremly fast and smooth.
Send with tapatalk 2 on my SGS3.
RAM is made to be used, not to be kept free. Low free RAM just means that apps are loaded and waiting to be used again, if more RAM is needed, Android OS just removes one of these idle apps and makes room for the new app. So actually, no free RAM is needed on an Android device.
Throw it into the sky
I think no comment is the best policy here!

OK, and in which case it would still be BS.
No apps in ram means slower opening times as having apps in the cache means they open (ever so slightly) faster.
No apps in ram = SLOWER phone and worse battery life.
So ya, its all bollocks.

+ with this kind of settings as the OP said, some people applying this will complain about launcher redraws or some weird things happens...
I've tested, for example I open XDA app and the browser for Google traduction and switching between both then I write a SMS and when I want to return in the browser to copy/paste my traduction for XDA app... WOW what happens!?!... XDA app was killed or it's the browser! Not very convenient use for a smartphone!
This thread can be well intentioned but in fact, it's really a bad thing...
After that if some people want a slower phone, a total lack of multitasking but much more free ram for nothing..., well follow the OP.
LEAVE ANDROID MANAGE HER MEMORY, at worst it can help with mods as V6 Supercharger (and yet there are pros and cons) but not with killing (by the developper options) all the processes automatically.
Re managing some priority, LMK, etc... yes why not but it's useless to kill all apps wich have been opened.
Warm_ice, yes but here it's a fact totally useless, noob ok, we have all been but come and make a post here like the ultime solution or the revolution about memory management (read the title then the OP ) sorry but it's ridiculous...
I've tested before this thread and I can confirm my phone is slower with the limit background processes to no background processes than the stock settings... and I think I'm not the only one.
And I speak only for this, not about GPU rendering and animation speed. After if this thread was only about GPU rendering ant animation speed I agree even if it's seen and reviewed since a long time...

Stuff you may not have noticed in the new update:
Overview:
Sammobile have leaked Samsung's 4.1.2 update for the Galaxy SII today, it's a long awaited updated that, in my opinion, has completely changed the phone. I was disappointed when Ice Cream Sandwich was released as it appeared Samsung had put minimal effort into the update, the UI felt outdated and I personally preferred running CM9. For the first time since Gingerbread I am absolutely in love with the Samsung's stock ROM!
Whether it was Samsung's choice or one of Apple's stupid patents the entire UI for the SII, Note and some other devices have got the new Nature UX found first on the SIII. Most noticeably the TW Launcher, notification bar and title bar layout has been changed, but overall the entire OS looks much fresher and cleaner. I have personally not encountered any lag in this leak and it appears Project Butter is working fine, there are a few blips here and there such as lock screen lag/unresponsiveness. Without a doubt this is the smoothest my SII has been since I first bought it and it feels brand new again!
** Of course this is test firmware and is not recommended for daily use **
Some features you may not know about:
Vibration Patterns:
Under settings > sound > device vibration you'll find this menu, here you can change the vibration pattern of the phone.
If the presets aren't right for you, you can create your own custom ones by clicking on create under the above menu.
Changing the lock screen shortcuts
To change these go to settings > lock screen > lock screen options > shortcuts.
Hold your finger down on the preset icons and drag the old ones to the trash, click on the + sign to add your own.
Adding Facebook to the lock screen:
First you must have Facebook installed and you must be logged in.
To activate it navigate to settings > lock screen > lock screen options > information ticker > contents type > Facebook
You may need to refresh on the lock screen its self.
Personalising the Messaging App:
Open up the Messaging app, press menu and select settings - here you'll find a few settings.
Bubble style:
Background style:
Dropbox:
Samsung have kindly teamed up with Dropbox to give us 50GB of free storage. This would cost you a fair bit to buy so take it up even if you aren't a user, it's a really useful cloud app. I'm sure you're greeted with it during first boot, if not it can be added as an account under the settings menu.
Quick access to the camera:
This is activated under settings > lock screen > lock screen options > camera quick access
I can't post a screenshot as I don't have enough hands... At the lock screen, place one finger on the screen and rotate the camera 90 degrees to launch the camera.
Did Samsung forget the ripple lock feature?!
No, they did not. I'm sure it will be included by default several releases down the line but remember this is test firmware. I can't stand 240dpi, so the first thing I did was change to a lower one - 180. Once rebooted the ripple lock worked! If I have some free time this week I shall make a multi dpi TW Launcher and dialer as everything else appears to work without modification.
Would I recommend it?
To put it bluntly, yes! I've been using it for a few hours with no problems what so ever, of course if you want to protect your warranty do not. You do risk bricking your phone and starting World War III, so do so with caution. I'm sure all of you Gingerbread lovers will enjoy this too!
Hopefully some of you found this helpful, thanks!
I just want to thank you for having a *CLEAN* thread (formatting, screenies, English quality).
There's a gazillion of threads here that hurt my eyes to look at.
I'll thank you once again, once you do get those multi-dpi phone and twlauncher. Also, the messaging apk is also a bit strange under 160dpi.
I havent tried 160 yet, will have a look into it

NIce thread! What about Smart Stay?
Smart stay is there, and so is popup play!
How do you change dpi?
Also did you see how when you plug in headphones you get quick launch icons for your media apps in the notification panel.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Er sammobile dint get it first == a xda member did...
so how do you change teh DPI and why would you change it?
whats the difference?
also you forgott about Allshare Play
thats the biggest thing that have ever happend to the S2
For me stock browser crashes if i try 180 dpi, 160 and 240 works fine.
Also The clock crashes for me eveytime i try to turn og an alarm both at 240 and 160 dpi.
Am I the only one having this problems? If not do you know if it can be fixed like the dailer?
Just wanted to point out that other than that it works awesome for me.

Can someone explain in settings "Cloud"?
I have not signed into Samsung yet, so I'm curious what this cloud does, what we can use it for compared to Dropbox, and how much storage is there.
Thanks...
OP, change the credits to izap and not sammobile! This time they did not leak the firmware! Due Credits

Yes I got that too, but there is another 'cloud" setting in settings, I was just wondering if you use this to back up Samsung settings or whatever.
using this awesome rom
i liked stock more than aokp and cm because of camera quality, and now they hav added new features..its cool
but i hav a concern..i ma using perfmon and what i observed is that cpu remains on 800mhz most of the time while using the phone(not when screen is off)..as i hav flashed stock kernel after a long time interval, its weird for me..but i dont know, may be stock kernel are designed this way only..
scrolling is also very good..but msging app has very poor scrolling...the audio quality of speakers is definitely better..video player is awesome..just loving this rom..waiting for a kernel from dorimanx or Gm..but they need source of kernel
SO PLEASE INFORM THEM IF U HAPPEN TO KNOW ABOUT IT...thnx
Notice: The OP has been updated on 2/05/2014. It is updated to reflect the 4.3 platform and has been streamlined with more XPosed modules. The older 4.1.2 post has now been deleted. The OP serves as a representation of our current ongoing discussion of kernels, mods/tweaks and tips on the i9300. It is merely a summary for newcomers to integrate to our discussion.
Most of the forum regulars are very advanced users who know the ins and outs of our phone and how to maximize its performance. I just wanted to share with you some of the most useful mods I've encountered during my brief time on this forum. In my opinion, these mods are not given enough credit for what they can do. Perhaps, some users are not aware of them. Hence, my decision to open a thread to discuss these mods. Feel free to add some of your hidden gems (not the obvious ones).
Kernel
Boeffla Kernel for 4.3
Our go to kernel since 4.1.2. It's not the most feature rich, but it is the most stable and is updated regularly. It includes multiple governors, Boeffla Sound, ZRam and Low Memory Settings. Check it out and gain substantial battery savings over the stock kernel.
Boeffla Kernel
XPosed
II. Xposed Framework
Custom roms for Android have come a long way and Xposed is the next step in customization. It allows users to install modules to customize just about every aspect of your phone. It really minimizes the need for custom roms since it can do everything you need.
Xposed Installer
XPosed Modules
I. App Settings - My favorite app to control the DPI of each individual app. I like setting my phone to around 260-280 so I only set my launcher to that setting while retaining the 320 dpi of the phone itself. Then I customize each app DPI separately.
App Settings
II. AppOpsExposed - Access the secret Android menu to control user information accessed by apps.
AppOpsXposed
III. BootManager - Control which apps are allowed to start up. Some apps simply don't need to start unnecessarily. (ie. Maps, Starbucks, Yelp)
BootManager
IV.Greenify - Sort of like freezing using Titanium Backup, this app finds useless apps that are running in the background and forces hibernation. This will help enable our phones to properly enter deep sleep for better battery life.
Greenify
V. NotifyClean - Control which notifications are allowed to post notifications on the status bar.
NotifyClean
VI. WanamXposed - This is a must for Xposed users. It allows for so much customization. If you own a 4.3 Samsung phone, you absolutely need this.
WanamXposed
VII. XButtonActions - This module will allows users to program their physical keys for certain actions. Remember the long press menu to kill mod? This can do that for you.
XButtonActions
VIII. Disable Clear Defaults Dialog - After setting a default app on TouchWiz this annoying dialog pops up. Disable it with this module.
Disable Clear Defaults Dialog
IX. Free Music Subscription - A certain music subscription app who's name starts with an S (It also rhymes with "modify") has released a free version for tablet users. This module fakes the app into thinking you're using a tablet. I tried it and it works perfectly. Saved $10 a month with this mod. Please don't mention the music app by name here.
Enable Free Music Subscription
Apps
I. Lux
This app essentially controls the backlight automatically for you according to the lighting conditions around you. Handy for saving battery and saving your eyes when you're in bed with the lights off.
Lux
II. Cerberus
Locate your phone when you lose it. Also lets you take a picture, record sound, get call logs, read SMS and so much more. Every Android user needs this.
Cerberus
III. Google Maps 6.14.4
Ever since the new Google Maps was updated, it lost many of it's core features such as offline maps. This is the old APK and resigned so it will never be updated by the PlayStore.
Google Maps 6.14.4
IV. Flash Player on KitKat
Google is trying to phase out Adobe Flash starting with KitKat. This mod will allow it to run those devices. Try installing this with Lucky Patcher found below and watch flash video not allowed on mobile devices. (ie. Hulu, PornHub and ESPN) Be sure to set your browser to desktop mode and disable any ad blockers to watch porn or Hulu.
Flash on KitKat
Lucky Patcher
V. YouTube in HD
This won't speed up your phone but it's worth mentioning. It's does exactly what it says. Watch YouTube in HD.
YouTube in HD
Cosmetic Mods
I. S4 KitKat Statusbar
Gives you the white statusbar found on KitKat. This WiFi icon looks really nice.
S4 KitKat Statusbar
II. DCikonZ Icons
I've become so sick of the S3 icons after looking at them for over a year. Here's an icon pack that's compatible with any third party launcher like Nova, Apex, etc. Icons for XDA, FM Radio, Kindle and YouTube are fantastic.
DCikonZ
III. 4G Icon
Simple mod that turns your H+ icon into a more dynamic 4G icon. I can't remember who made this. Works on both 4.3 and 4.1.2.
4G
IV. Nova Launcher
Most advanced users know and use this launcher but it's worth pointing out that it allows for transparent status bars. Also, enable the shadowing on the status bar and it looks fantastic.

V. Google SE Boot Animation and Sounds
This is a very well-known mod that enables the Google SE boot animation instead of the boring Samsung logo. You can enable custom boot animations from here. After enabling, insert bootanimation.zip into data/local or system/media and give permission -rw -r -r. Please note that the bootanimation is not a flashable file. You can also flash the Google SE sounds which will overwrite your Samsung sounds.

Re: Awesome Underrated Mods/Tweaks
After trying Crossbreeder, my phone is really snappy. Especially with any app that uses the internet. Also, it cuts down so many background operations. This would pair up really well with Perseus. I see almost no CPU movement when idle now. This will A LOT of battery drainage.
Test CPU usage with CPU Adjuster and you'll notice the difference.

Hey slappy, I was wondering what you mean by using greenify intelligently...? I was under the impression I should just hit apps that I don't use often that run in the background (maps for instance) is there a better approach?
Hey lads,
Going to have this phone soon and haven't yet found a reason to go rooting/custom rom rout, As it seems, it's quite well cooked as it is. So i'm wondering what are the Reasons you guys rooted your phones?
Can't you get that hide nav bar without root? and xposed framework work without root? We got some neat statusbar icon sets out and need rooting?
some other reason you had to root and 'void warrancy'?
Well... removal of carrier bloatware, ability to backup your setup, free up ram, remove gimmicky features you don't like, titanium backup to freeze apps without needing to delete them permanent, Greenify pwns, better battery life unless you screw something up, custom roms when you get tired of the same old ui and you wish you could subsidize early. ..almost certainly be able to get 4.3/ 4.4 much faster unless your Sprint cause they are f'in crazy ?...there are craploads more but I'll let someone else chime in.

You never really void your warranty...when you flash back to full stock they will never know with a complete wipe. If screen won't light up they can't tell...if phone won't boot they won't know. If usb breaks you have wireless storage you can always flash a modified aboot and purposefully brick beyond the ability to tell.

Decrease the OS size by installing CeanRom for G2 so you have more memory space. Double Tap lock feature for a launcher like Nova Launcher for example. Uninstall bloat if course, T-MOBILE version hardly has any. Can't think of anymore reasons on the top of my head

I enjoy being able to increase my headphone and the phone speaker volume, also the ability to hide soft keys and enjoy the full 5.2 inch screen.
Another mod I did was go full black on the status bar and circle percentage battery.
Come to think of it, if it wasn't for rooting I probably would have returned the phone and kept my HTC One.

Well to have (never android)4.4 and forward, if LG doesnt provide, i guess i'm on the same track with u. Mayby even sooner. Still right now it seems its pretty damn nice covered as it is, but apps like titanium backup, rom toolbox (have owned both 2+ years, not needed for last two phones, battery was problem back then, not so now) i cant see where its needed.
Probably i don't know how to get best out of android phones but to me, rooting was allways part of getting the phone last whole day and ui smooth, now that its as beefy as these new phones are, it comes to the bloatware(wakelocks) and customization and once thats done, its only the updates that keeps me wanting to have custom rom.
Anyway the greenify seems like intresting app, going to see it once im sober. The kinda information i was asking for, thanks for that!
and happy weekend!

Going to dig this as it's intresting and i have some wine to enjoy.
I thought i can get to 360DPI without root? Atleast thats in my mind and would be enough as i used note 2 720p screen with 240dpi and found it the best. anything less and it was a bit too small for my liking.
The pulldown bar might be a good reason for me allso, if too growded with unnessessary stuff and the custom mods are there to flash. gonna see about that. thanks for the heads up.

Could you direct me to the mod that allows double-tap lock on nova?
Click to collapse
Install screen off and lock, go to nova settings, gestures, double tap, set to application, pick "Screen off" (not "Screen off and Lock")
